Great review! Sadly, the U.S. market does not get the comfort seats, thus the headrests, the front seat leg extenders, and the back seat half-fold are manual instead of power. The U.S. market also doesn't get the Integral Active Steering, 4-wheel steering, and anti-roll stabilizer. We also don't get the Digital 4-Zone Rear Climate Control, M Style Seat belts, and front massage seats. Lastly, it is truly disappointing that BMW decided to get rid of the door sills. For real! It's a really nice car overall
The car looks so nice. People just hate on every modern car just because they can’t afford it.
So true! And in 5 years when a new one comes out. Those same people will say how they loved the old version lol
Nice review... What the fuck is that camera facing the interior, though?? 👀
What camera?
Only thing's i wished they did better is the Hitler '-tache like radar sensor which moves the front camera off to the right hand side of the grille......couldn't that be kept on the upper middle section of the grille,🤔🤔
The camera is right in the middle of the grill though.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedIt's off centre though it should be on the septum(if you imagine the grille as nostrils) it's better integrated on the 3er, and apologies on saying it's was off to the right, rather than the left as seen in the vid, I forgot you guys have the steering wheel on the wrong side 😉
@@omerta2002 the forward facing camera on the front? It’s right in the middle.. steering wheel doesn’t effect that 😁
@@BrosFOURRSpeedThe split in between the left & ride hand side of the grille is the centre.
@@omerta2002 yup, that’s where the camera is..
Looks better than m5 which looks like its on steroids
In person the M5 looks so cool to me!
Huge regress in both design and interior quality/usability. Looks and feels much cheaper, but costs more. It is not a secret BMW is reducing cost of production to increase profit margins
What source did you get that info from?
@@BrosFOURRSpeed My comments are getting deleted, probably because of the link. Please try to google for "BMW to cut production cost per vehicle by 25%" on Automaker from 2021, it's an official comment from their board member. All changes are presented as a progress, but in reality it's a shameless costs cutting. Cheaper plastics, removal of convenience/luxury standard options, seats have less settings, etc.
Interesting, well take a look! But in person the new 5 series seems a lot nicer then the old one
@@japanwatchconnection cool, interesting one design did that. I love the brand.
It is an absolute travesty BMW does not offer the 540i in Europe, not even the 530... :(
That's crazy!
You can have the 550e with the same b58 engine but it’s hybrid.
The engine is a little less powerful but the electric motor means that in the end it still makes 490 hp ! And both do the same time at 0-100 km/h (or 0-60 mph)
But unfortunately there is only one video of this car on RUclips and we don't see the performances
@@nicolasvincent74 simple, not everyone wants EV or Hybrid. The battery is a huge downside in my opinion, and a very expensive single point of failure
520i is the typical standard European five series model
I’m the proud owner a 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sport Wagon, last N/A 6 cylinder BMW ever made, I have the 6 speed manual too. My next car will be a Porsche, as no matter how you look at it the new BMW’s are not built to the standard they were 15 years ago. Horrible job BMW! I’m sticking to Porsche and Audi from now on
Interesting since they are way better in every was compared to 15 years ago. But enjoy your next ride.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed They don’t sound as good, they don’t look as good, and they don’t handle as good. So no, they’re not better in every way.. only better in tech, which I don’t use as it’s distracting. I guess reliability might be better, but these cars are too new to tell
@@JRB41 This particular bmw might not sound as good, but the M cars do. Looks are subjective as I love the new look and handling is spot on. They handle incredibly well.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I remember when all BMW’s base engine was a N/A inline 6 cylinder, that sounded much better than this - most people buying BMW’s are not buying the M models, they’re buying this, making your statement pretty much irrelevant.. looks are subjective, but I don’t think anybody disagrees that the E39 is MUCH better looking than this, so is the handling - Motor trend, car and driver, and myself + many many other enthusiasts agree, end of story!
@@JRB41 I would disagree, not a fan of the older model bmws, so you can’t make that accusation that everyone likes it more.
Buy the model you like and enjoy it, and let others do the same. Everyone has different preferences and tastes..
Who's designing the exterior. Interior is cool but wow... that is ugly. Looks like a pseudo-Mercedes type car
BMW is definitely trying new things. But in person this looks pretty cool
The ultimate driving machine, where you just sit, push a lot of screen buttons and kind of steer. 😅
Looks ugly. Looks likea Crossover now g30 was much nicer.
I like it!
That black gloss is trash looks cheap, cars are getting cheaper yet more expensive.
I honestly like it. But I can see that in some ways
New e class is way better and im a beamer man smh
I’d go with the bmw, way nicer imo.
same. this is just too big and ugly. its a tragedy
Nice car but it looks absolutely ugly
In person it's pretty cool tho
It looks like crap. Not even expensive crap.
Why?
Absolutely ugly just like new 7 series
Not everyones taste. Audi and Mercedes cars still look pretty normal. But in person the new 5 series does look cool
@@japanwatchconnection I like it, again, not everyone’s taste.
@@japanwatchconnection everyone can have their opinion, these cars still sell to people who will enjoy them.
Such a boring spec on this example.
Entire car feels cheap in a video
Id disagree for sure.
I just got one, and can attest that it’s very premium and expensive feeling once you’re in it. Lol Way better than the previous generation
@@CappCreative Very true!
I had the G30 as well and believe the interior was superior looking to this. Moved to Audi but thinking about coming home! 😢 This car looks fine in my opinion..
Wish they moved to hatchback styling
Interior is just disgusting
How so?
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I really like the pre-lci interior of the G series (2020 to 2022) of BMW’s thin piping style of interior lighting, this 1.5” strip just looks cheap and over the top, and I am just not a fan of the lci panoramic screen, or panoramic screens in general.
That interior camera is a red flag for me🫠, what's that for ??
What camera?
11:46 @@BrosFOURRSpeed
This is ugly af G30 is the best 5 series there is for sure
The design could grow on you. Looks super good in person and is a huge update from the previous year
huge update ? its made out of cheap plastic now @@BrosFOURRSpeed
Previous generation is much nicer!
