Additionally to the sensitivity of the shock sensor being low, you got to wait aprox 30 sec after arming it for it to "kick in'. Same goes for the tilt sensor. Otherwise they are great, I have one with smart start, pricy but the additional features are worth it for those who need them.
I got this exact alarm installed and needed a new key for the remote start but the dealer couldn’t make a new one and said the alarm/remote start was preventing them and to call a locksmith instead. Does this make any sense?
Is there a way to turn the volume up on the two way pager? I can barely hear my pager when I test the alarm. I even went inside my house to hear mt pager while testing the alarm and I could barely hear it . Also, can I change the pager mode to vibrate if I can't make volume louder, and how do I do it?
Do you know by chance y my viper 5706v isn’t turning the acc wire on its staying ground even acc 2 and I got acc 2 hook up with a relay on a Silverado 05
I bought a Viper alarm/remote starter for my last new car. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with Viper do to the poor quality of the main remote that has bad cracks all around the outside edge of the remote. I glued with crazy glue but it is no longer holding together. It should have a metal edge around the entire outer edge. It looked like it std but they are tricky in fooling the customer. It is painted plastic to look like metal. I resorted to the one way remote but can not tell if doors are open or closed. Plus.. my car continuously remotely starts accidentally because of poor design. I paid about $650 and will never buy another Viper product.
