@ 13:21 you have no clue just how satisfying it is seeing hearing Legend get audibly excited to play a card. With how monotone and dry his voice and delivery can be, the small moments like that really make these videos worth watching.
Legend begging the Brisley Bill player to let him attack after he played Rabble-Rousing only for the opponent to immediately concede is truly a comedic masterpiece
I very rarely play magic, but I just bought my first commander deck so I can play with some geeks in the "card-clubs" in my city. Baylen has to be the strongest tokens commander I have ever seen in my many years of playing MTG! Been looking forward to making him in commander and brawl! Appreciate you tons, Luca!!!!
yeah, Baylen seems insane in 1v1. He does have to attack, in order to win, so might be slightly weaker as the tables have more players. But his ability to get value and chain plays together in response to removal makes him so versatile.
Yeah where the heck is he? On a wide board he's a 4MV Craterhoof. Pick a card at random and I'd probably rather have Jetmir. Lose the Primal Vigor and get our boy in there.
@dinklebob1 ehh I see LVD's point, he's kinda win more. I guess it's something cheaper to chord of calling for but if he gets removed at instant speed during combat it could be a total blowout.
Games 1 and 4 are why I wish Arena had an option to keep playing a game out. Just have the opponent pass each priority like they'd run out of time. But it would let crazy brews see the payoff
A white card I like for decks like this that care more about having a lot of tokens than necessarily having creature tokens is Great Desert Prospector. Not the fastest, but the Powerstone tokens are also kinda low value targets for your opponents, so unless they're just wiping everything, those are tokens that can stick around for later value.
Reminds me of one of my first Arena decks with Emmara, Shanna, Growing Rites of Itlimoc, Assure/Assemble, Trostani Discordant, and Huatli Radiant Champion
Really? Brawl is the cheapest format since A) You only need a single copy and B) Not having a single card is usually not the end of the world. You can almost always sub in something you already own or a similar card at lower rarity. I will concede that BIG/SPG/BLC additions you are unlikely to (or can't) get from opening packs is putting increased pressure on wildcards.
I built Baylen as well, but as a stormsplitter deck that tries to go off with rite of harmony and kill people in one go. Most fun I’ve had building a commander in years
@@LegenVD I think I will transform my Jetmir brawl deck in to a Baylen one. Keeping Jetmir in. The rabbit is cheaper and more flexible. The deck can win even without her.
Just in case you were talking about mana dorks as opposed to cards outside of main, standard legal sets: (Ignore brackets [] - they're just to indicate the start/end of the query) If you're using a site like Moxfield or Scryfall, [ otag:mana-dork mv
@@LegenVDand "e:blc" works the same. "e" for "Expansion", although it works for anything with a set code. Not a huge difference but it can save a couple keystrokes each time!
Certainly a consideration! Not reliably making mana early is a strike against it. Goose is great alongside commanders you want to get in play asap, especially if they cost 3 mana, but Baylen is often better when played a little later.
I didn't really understand what happened most of the time, I surely enjoyed the spawn of hundred of tokens and then the opponent was completely destroyed lol
Depends on how unique the commander is. In this case I was able to use older token decks for reference so it wasn't too bad. Using those categories from the intro can help split the deck up into smaller chunks, which makes it a little easier to fill out. After a while you know the format staples (did a video on the topic recently) so there will be quite a few auto-includes. Deck aggragate websites can also help point you in the right direction and learning to use the various filters in the deck builder or on Scryfall can save you a lot of time searching.

I wish arena had an option to play out your turn when an opponent quits. That and allowing opponents to share decklists would be great additions.
I think the same. Sometimes when the opponent concedes and I can't understand why, I'd like to know what they had in hand to take that decision.

Moonshaker Cavalry is a very underrated win con that is so good
