    Straight motivating. I had a brother send this to me because I'm 19 and I told him I want a Hellcat. I've been raising my credit score, doing research, using the law of attraction and etc. Watching this video showed me I'm on the right path to get any car I set my eyes on.

    Everything he said is 100% right , i started working part time retail hourse after high school & wanted a brand new Mustang GT for 40k , no where near makin 40k a year and had no credit history at all , constantly feuding with my parents because they ddnt want me to have a v8 sports car but all i knew was a Mustang Gt , that was my only focus. Fast forward til now i own a 2005 Mustang GT premium , bought it Nov. 2016 with 82k miles , every morning i get up for work at 5 am im excited as hell to drive my car , I expected the maintenance , I expected the low gas mileage so all in all every single day of dreaming about this car & breaking my neck to look at one when it rode by & now people are looking at me in mine & people constantly think its much newer than a 05. Great video , its all about saving money , building credit and never giving up no matter what !

    Most people that are buying these cars can't afford them. That's why you're starting to see so many used ones show up with low miles. After the newness wears off that $800-$1200 car note starts to seem ridiculous. Some people are paying more than that because they bought them when dealers were bending people over. Combine that with the high insurance costs, keeping gas in it, etc you'll easily reach $1500-$1700 month if you daily drive it.

    • @TallGuyCarReviews
      @TallGuyCarReviews  7 лет назад +17

      I agree with you %100! That's why people have to know what they are getting into when they buy these types of cars.

    Im gonna tell you guys right now, if you follow this info, you will be in a shit ton of financial trouble. He is speaking from a young person's mentality. LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS. Him and I are close in age, and its just the young person's ego. Wanting to be flashy but not being able to really afford it. Shit even I know that you do not buy a car that costs way more than your annual salary, no matter if you're financing or leasing. I get it. the Charger Hellcat is my dream car as well, but he really did not have patience. 2 years really isn't patient, considering he is paying close to 1k a month to keep and maintain the car. Not only that, he really didnt say much about financing one. Everyone's experience will be different with dealerships. From one young person to another; work hard enough to where you can afford the car, without paying so much a month for it, or to where you can pay it off ASAP. Not really smart to finance something that depreciates so much in value. Invest in assets that allows your money to work for you.

      @big10 4 definitely agree with you but it's up to the individual to decide that and accept what happens good or bad. I'm pretty sure about 60% or more people that buy hellcat if the engine breaks and have no warranty the hellcat becomes a paperweight because the cost to repair is huge. End of the day you only live once and by the looks of the way the world is going these cars are the LAST of their kind so if you can make it happen and willing to accept the risks do it

Did some upgrades cam, headers, ordered a brake and rotor kit (stalks post man), just need to get a supercharger and a clutch upgrade and I will be done with my project. I totally feel ya when you say if you want it go get it! I almost settled for the v6, (not knocking anyone who drives a v6 Camaro), but I don't think I would have been happy. Mad respect.

    Interest is where the dealer kills you. Never let the dealer be your only source of financing. Look into your bank, your buddies banks, other reputable lenders, and even your family. When I got my Charger the dealer offered me 9% through them, my credit score was 810. I told them, thanks for the offer but kindly fuck off. I had a pre-approval from Bank of America for 2.7%. They weren't making much on the car at the price we negotiated and the only reason they went to that price was because they knew they could make it up in interest. They were pissed.

    Borrowing money to buy a car is not "living out your dream" It's sacrificing the future cuz you want it now! I'll bet your transportation costs are still at least $900 a month....Gas, insurance, lease. You wouldn't make the cut for anything but leasing..... They have a repo guy in a tow truck that just follows you around.

    I'm pretty sure buying a car that you can't afford is a bad idea!! I know it feels good to be driving ur dream car n all but if you're making less than what the car cost ur just putting urself through a vicious cycle and gonna be broke until you pay it off!! I'd rather just accumulate as much wealth as possible until I know for sure I can afford it n live comfortably still.. This guy's advice is only good if you're willing to struggle hard, and barely get by just for instant gratification!

  • @eddiemadeline7989
    @eddiemadeline7989 7 лет назад +6

    For the love of all things holy, do not listen to this advice. First off, you shouldn't own a car that is more than half your annual income. Even then, you should pay for that car in cash. Making dumb decisions like this will leave you broke and desperate when you're older.

My earlier years, I knda was against leasing, but the way you broke that ish down, you are totally right, so I will be looking into doing the same thing. Shit, I'm like you, every few years, you can get a new ride, usually after a few years, things began to break down, so the timing is perfect, once the lease is up.. I appreciate the info... Thumbs up...
