      Thank you i really appreciate that. I figured a middle single coil pick up would stand up well with the P90s. Cheers.

    Word up Charles!! Wow, that came out so sweet! I watched the vid twice, had to let it sink in for a bit. It's such a work of art! I wasn't totally sure what to expect when I heard you were making a fabric top, and am blown away by the final result, it's so cool! And I'm diggin' the choice with the P90's. Can't wait to see you tomorrow on the Ben Coombs show, that's gonna be a great one!! Rock On Brother!!! 🧚🏻‍♂🤘🏻

    Love the looks but the pups aren’t working as they should as the middle pup isn’t reverse wound as it is on a strat giving you those funky out of phase tones.

    • @Charles75N
      @Charles75N  9 месяцев назад

      Ian thank you. I do love the tones in get out of this guitar, especially the single coil P90 combo. The pick in the neck is a middle Strat pick up and I believe they are in phase with each other. Either way I love it the way it is. Thank you for your input. I apprciate it. Cheers.

    Man that looks fantatic!! Ive been thinking of doing this for a while and you nailed it buddy 😎🍻 .. quick question if you don't mind.. when you layerd on the Polly.. is that some kind of epoxy resin softly layered on? or have I got that wrong? very inspirational 💪🤘

      Thank you very much. Back then my basecoats on the fabric were satin Poly and then spray with 2k clear for the top coats. Now I use sanding sealer instead of the satin Poly. Always happy to answer questions. Thank you again for the kind words.

    Very cool charles.. stunning in fact.. well done.. only thing I would say is there are a bunch of cool pattern pickguards u can buy. I'd buy a sss routed one and place that one over it to mark the p90 positions out and route out those 2 spots and have it fit better.. but that's just my opinion.. all in all I'm very impressed.. I love that fabric .. so cool 😎

    Hi Charles, very, very cool. I'm thinking of doing a fabric top myself. What type of glue did you use. I see the clear coat spray, but did you also use a poly that was brushed on, or did you glue the fabric and then spray with clear coat. Thanks for answering

      George my gmail is on my channel page feel free to reach out if I may be of any assistance. I would love to see the project unfold. I have changed materials over time. Here are the ones I use know and am very happy with them.
      Here is the glue I use: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JEKF37C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      I used to use poly as a base coat but have switched to sanding sealer which works much better: www.amazon.com/Minwax-657000000-Water-Based-Sanding-Sealer/dp/B004Y6TTKI/ref=sr_1_5?crid=AGLRDLY7RMD2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.4F8oAb3d-3G4gMYi13R71F0tLnqVaEGmNn8gDLbF1kDTnGZH2ftx-lDnNWTkjtKZ5cpaQ1_vfxxiOFfJR6v15dk7Q28v6yfBSRxgMsoq9JaWvD6fwTSAWfxjUQYwR-uFX0HYuU0YJ7Hp_u5L30lSJWLNyyARr0arNznvpxB5bEYXtIG8EgWecDh7b0DQ88QhT3n6N_5fpzN2kNWqc2uDTtPY0UW6LC8Fu3WCKXk-gTb7pptrIDN6YdfGzlJGXrPbjieuHqC9i7sVI8FEPMnFLYiynAspVhmZYrvwwnM7c44.pIrgzA3fVnsb_GpvhMMpzgiDkoZyiYbtA6unCKaaRCA&dib_tag=se&keywords=minwax%2Bsanding%2Bsealer&qid=1714316248&sprefix=minwax%2Bsanding%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-5&th=1
      Here is the clear coat I use: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W2D81ZO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

      Actually just to keep it simple was more curious in the order in which you apply products to the body. Seems like: glue, fabric, and then the two finish materials, poly and the other. Am I close? I realize there are other steps, just trying to get the basics
