I love how went from Doom Eternal (One of the most fast-paced games ever) to Animal Crossing: New Horizons (A slow-paced and relaxing game). And they released on the same day. Definitely feeling some ying-yang vibes here.

@@THESKYLEE I’ll be honest I found animal crossing to be nice and relaxing but i didn’t end up playing too much of it. But I loved dark souls. I’ve since finished the game twice, played dark souls 3, bloodborne and I’m now playing elden ring. The souls games are great but they certainly need perseverance at times and especially when you first get started.

I've loved Animal Crossing since the original and I'm really glad you enjoyed this one! Your videos playing it have been some of the funniest on your channel since I first subscribed. I loved every second of them.
The first Animal Crossing on Gamecube was my jam. This almost makes me want to get a switch just so I could make a slum island and disrupt Tom Nook’s empire.

This was my first Animal Crossing game and I must say, I love it a lot. There is a lot to do and the first few days are tedious, but besides that, I is a nice, calm, enjoyable game. I haven't even tried online yet, and now knowing how fun it sounds, I will try it soon. I would recommend the game, and I hope everyone who has the game is enjoying it as much as I am. :)
I’ve officially caught every fish possible in the month of March as of yesterday. And yes, that includes the coelacanth, oarfish, marlin, tuna, sturgeon, and stringfish.

I personally don’t time travel in the game, but absolutely understand why others would. It can be really really slow and time travel just unlocks certain features that can make it more enjoyable faster. I like the slow pace but would never tell someone who time travels that they’re like “playing the game wrong” or anything like that
I’m surprised you liked the game so much since it doesn’t seem like your style but also I’m really glad you did!
The only reason I’m not sick of it yet is because of the frequent updates. I forget which one, but one of the older games was completed in only nineteen hours. That wouldn’t be possible in acnh. I really like the way that one day in the game = one day in real life too

but Charlie u forgot to mention the museum! it was immaculate! Amazing even. A close friend showed me their collection and it was the most wholesome experience I've ever had in a video game. I had the biggest grin on my cheeser while my friend led me through the halls, it was truly a special moment and i actually cried when we got to the butterfly room. It was beautiful lol

I hope Charlie had the chance to visit some crazy islands. That's one of the best parts. Some people are so creative. I remember one island I went to was a giant amusement park with niagara falls in the center.
I don't know why I love Animal Crossing, I've always been pretty impatient, especially when I was a kid in my Gamecube days, but I still loved AC somehow

The brothel island video might be your best work yet. Would happily watch hours more of that absurdity.
An additional negative would be Nintendo limiting the game to 1 island per Switch console, in an effort to sell more Switches. The previous Animal Crossing games allowed you to take on multiple islands. Not sure how this effects the overall experience in the long run, but the game is being slowly review-bombed because of this.
IIRC New Leaf was only one town per user as well.

This is one of the only games that my mom likes to play. And I mean play play, not just watch my dad play a game and yell at him to go down that one hallway that he missed.
I played the first game on Gamecube when I was a kid, and been loving the series ever since. It's nice to have a gaming thing to share with her over the years!
I just wish that you could choose between sharing an island and having your own, because we have one switch(one island per console), and by the time I was able to play, my mom picked the island clean lol

I had the same experience... I liked games as harvest moon, but Animal Crossing for the DS wayback sold me on the concept... That's when I realized I like that genre... It's not for everyone... But if they got the cash floating around I'd recommend to give it a try.
Animal Crossing has been like therapy for me since I was a kid, and the games have become better over time. You don't really play it to compete or feel any type of action - it's just a chill, rewarding game to play when you're winding down from the day or want to kill some time. Wholesome and full of dad jokes

My sleep schedule got completely fked by new horizon. I'm at 70 fish and 50insects while I spend half of my waking hours visiting friends island to buy all the goodies and to trade. This game is perfect for the corona season, feels just like I'm visiting friends when we have voice chat on. 10 outta 10.

To be honest, i usually go for other games, but my GF got me this right before quarantine and i have to say, it's the perfect game for stressful times like these.
My wife and I have an 8 month old baby, and this game is fun to play for about 30 minutes a day when the baby is down for a nap.

This review is great, but it's wrong. You're not gonna be bored the first three days, you might get "bored" on the first day, but then there's so much stuff to do on day 2 and 3 that u might even feel overwhelmed by how much there is to do.
Seriously, used to catch some zzz just casting a line, very soothing.
I personally have played animal crossing new leaf and genuinely didn't like it that much. However, i really emjoy new horizons and i reccomend it to people who need to chill out and relax a bit in the quarantine. It's helped keep me calm and busy. Its not a high action game so dont expect to be engrossed in a deep narrative or have complex mechanics. Its just a simple fun game and its pleasent
