- Today I installed the arcade in the LEGO mansion MOC. The arcade includes a 10-pin bowling lane and games like DDR, basketball, skeeball, cops and robbers, and much more. In addition to building the arcade I also clean up the LEGO room and discuss lighting

So I have a question so at 10:17 I saw that you were holding the base plate and you were showing off the placements on where you put the arcade game so have you ever dropped something like that while showing it off?
Have you ever considered submitting the mansion to Lego Ideas once you finished it?
the bowling lane is so structurally accurate. And the tiling colors are on point
I especially like the glass balcony right there next to it. Super expensive cars parked under the drop zone! lol I'm glad this is fantasy, cause I have seen some crazy bowling accidents.
I was thinking all those cool games machines should really go in an arcade in the city, but then they'd be enclosed and we'd never see them. So I think this is a better place for them as they will be more visible. Nice work!
Bricksie, I think your updates look awesome! The bowling lane/arcade totally give me a classic bowling alley vibe.
Two ideas: rotate the racing game 180 degrees so it’s easier to enter from whoever is bowling, and at the edge of the colored tile where it meets the gray beside the lane, add two high top tables. Just a thought!
I feel like a dark blue floor would look really cool on the arcade floor and it would reflect those retro carpets they used to have in the old arcades

Hey Bricksie, i know in the past you mentioned it may be a daunting task lighting up your city as well as costly, however you could consider lighting the mansion, use it as a tester for future projects, and having the mansion lit up would be a really nice addition to the display. Just a thought. Keep up the great work.

Instead of white under the mansion pool, you should put trans blue tiles under the clear sideways trans panels. It will show water depth better!
I am also on newborn watch. Baby Lucas is being super good while I'm doing laundry and cleaning.
Mom works days, I work nights....he's been really fussy with us being back at work.

I’ve been watching you for a few years now. But I must admit I love watching the white village project and now the mansion. To me your city looks great. That’s why I enjoy these other new projects. May I make the suggestion of a moc Star Wars seen for May the 4th
For your lighting test - set up in the area that easiest to access (by your shelves) a set that you MOC or pick with a variety of colors on it. Set your tripod static then in that one area take three test shots with adjusting just those lights to the different settings. Then compare them on your computer, not camera, to see which you like the best. This will give you the most consistent results and be the easiest way to determine which you like best.

You should tile it all off with the blue and light brown plates, most arcades have carpets where I’m from so it’d have a better feel. Plus it would add a load of color to the area popping it even more through that window.
The arcade games look AMAZING. Especially the Batman, Marvel, and Star Wars ones

I love bowling!!! Pretty much every time I go bowling, I hang out with my friends. And your twins are so cute!!!
I'd flip the racing game machine around, with the back of the screen against the window. That way, people hanging out can watch the bowling lane, or turn around and watch whoever is racing. Also, think of the power outlets. The back of the machine is ugly, and would do well against a wall where it can also be plugged in.
Love the way the mansion is coming together! The improvements to the bowling lane are inspired and the games layout fits the room so well. I’m excited for the stories that will be created once you add the mini figs. Maybe a sore loser who just threw a gutter ball? Someone who dropped their soda down in the garage and almost hit a car!? An out of control party to celebrate an Oilers victory? Only Bricksie knows!

3PO supervising the construction droids in the mansion. You know, his first job was programming binary load lifters, so he's pretty suited to the job.

The brighter lights will eventually (like sooner than later) take their toll on your eyes.

for the light change, I say setup your camera on a tripod, lock your camera settings so it can't auto adjust, and video/photo capture the difference between the bright white and daylight. would give a better representation

If possible, try adding stops like train stations to the train track for added detail.
Love the looks of the arcade, especially the bowling alley. One question though are you planning to put some type of scoreboard for the bowling alley. It looks like you have enough room for a small table at the end of the lane by the couch and an overhead scoreboard of some kind. Those two items will bring even more to the whole scene. In the garage have you thought of using the speed minifigs as race suits? Leave the head out, just the helmet and put them on a little stand. See that a lot in supercar garages. Mansion is looking amazing!!

be carefull, when you put ball on bowling rack, it could fall down and smash supercars :)
From what I know, normally there are always two lanes. Not sure if they are just built that way (for the ball return), or the cost of two isn't much more than 1.
Its all about Camera White balance, no need to change the lights ;)

You should add blacklights all around on the walls
Why not use some more arches and have that raised line come the OTHER way around your colorful brick column? If done right, it can make the track almost seem like it's levitating over nothing

Man now you got yar first moc to desplay next time you go to a Lego convention 😊if apply to desplay it. Oh no frigen do hair...no thanks. Where I youst to live dog hair then I moved and it was dust and humien hair .from in the old carpets. Now moved into brand new house. An dust free no dog hair. Just my hair. That falls out cas growing it long. I. Now need a key bord vacuum to get the little hair an dust outta bottom of my big moc build. Befor adding any more. Plate into it. 😁👌

you should get some light bulbs that can change colour via remote, then you can always switch the light when your recording... I think Ikea has them or Amazon for sure!
I think adding like a red, or blue tile in a square before the outer tile would give it a more arcade style vibe

Maybe just personal preference but I feel a blue couch would match your decor better, what with the blue tiles and blue wall trim you have
