You did sort of get Ventress here, Nika Futterman (who voiced Ventress) voices that voice in the temple, but if you want to know what happens with her after The Clone Wars then read Dark Disciple.
Other trivia people will probably point out: the conversation Rex and Ahsoka have in the beginning mirrors their conversation when they first met about experience outranking everything; Kanan said to Hera last episode not to worry, he'll see her again, yet despite his survival he doesn't technically 'see' her again now that he's blinded; when this aired we'd never seen Ahsoka and Maul interact yet we knew the basics of The Siege of Mandalore and that they met there so it's great how it works even better now that people like you can follow that story properly; Obi-Wan's fight with Vader in the Kenobi series obviously uses the mask thing again, there they used the other half of his mask and it's nice to see them both confront him in similar ways and come to terms with their relationship with him and don't blame themselves for his turn.

Several years ago I went thru nasal and sinus surgery. Unlike most people, my ENT had told me that mine wasn't going to be the typical procedure or recovery time. Instead of minutes under the knife, I was down for well over an hour. Instead of days to recover, it took 8 weeks (and even then, I went back a week too early and felt the fatigue and stress from it). It was about 5 weeks before they took out the packing in my nose/sinuses...which meant there were plenty of times I panicked as I couldn't "breath".
For myself, beyond the primary reasons being met for the surgery, as a side benefit it improved my singing voice (and as a vocalist, that kept me for years from surgery). Then again, considering the patients my ENT had, I should have trusted him earlier.
Hang in there. Things will get better.

  • @stevenmcmullan409
    @stevenmcmullan409 Год назад +25

Yay to breathing! I hear that there are positive health benefits!
Last week you had a chill down your spine when Kanan said "we'll see each other again" to Hera. Now you know why.
Note that Ahsoka would have defeated Vader had she not hesitated and simply pressed her attack. She defeated Darth Vader, but could not kill him once Anakin Skywalker resurfaced. Absolutely heartbreaking. Ahsoka is indeed the baddest of the bad asses and the greatest the Jedi order ever produced.
Did you notice that Ahsoka took out the the *opposite* half of Vader's helmet than Obi-Wan did in his show? Dave Filoni has said that that is symbolic of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka representing and differing parts of Anakin's past, and Darth Vader is determined to destroy Anakin's past. It takes Luke, who represents the future, who breaks through the dark side and finally reaches Anakin.
I mentioned in the reaction that reintroduced Rex that that was the Rebels reaction I was most looking forward to. This one was second. And I know what my third and fourth most anticipated ones are. That said, next week is not one of those reactions. However, I do have a couple of very specific reasons why I'm looking forward to it. See you then.

    For context (includes spoilers):
In the Legends continuity, Malachor was a system controlled by the Mandalorians (who re-settled on Malachor IV after the original Mandalore was devastated and became uninhabitable. 3,000 years before the Skywalker era, the Mandalorians and the Republic went to war (the Mandalorian Wars as it is known) and the Jedi decided there was too much darkness involved so they stayed out of it. A handful of Jedi that felt they should get involved, led by Revan, went off to fight in the war.
Revan decisively wins the war using an ancient Sith ritual wiping out all life in the system - Mandalorian and Republic/Jedi - in the process. Revan then goes on to declare himself the new Suth Emperor, and attacked the Jedi and Republic after amassing his own fleet.
This is all out of "Knights of the Old Republic" which is an RPG video game series.
Whether the Malachor here still maintains the Legends storyline, this temple and the bodies surrounding it are 100% out of KotOR, even if just as an easter egg.

Thank you for an amazing reaction to a show I love. It always serves to enhance my enjoyment when you react to stuff I love. You often mention how good the music is in this and I agree. It's a great emulation of John Williams original themes. On a weird side note, some years ago I was wacthing a re-run of a 60's series called Land of the Giants. When I heard the end theme tune, I tried to imagine what it would sound like in John Williams had composed it. I subsequently looked up what scores he'd composed only to find that he HAD done the theme tune to it! It was one of his first forays into TV. I don't know what made me think it, but that was a bizarre twist! See you next time!

Much like season 1, this shows an escalation. It starts with the execution of the Academy Commandant. Here the 3rd Inquisitor this season and the introduction of "old Master". The thing that's ambiguous till this episode is whether Ahsoka knew. In Siege Of Lothal it seems his....rage overwhelmed her. She spent much of this season trying to get information. When they went to the Lothal Temple, Master Yoda(using Dagobah's Force Energy) to give Ahsoka and Kanan visions(this is why we know the Grand Inquisitor was a temple Guard, how Kanan was Knighted, and Ahsoka learning the truth). But she wasn't sure......not till he spoke her name. It took YEARS for us to learn her fate. This episode sets the bar for the remaining 2 seasons. And it is MASTERFUL

About a millennium before current events, Malachor V was all but destroyed in the final battle of the Mandalorian War against the Republic. The war was a front, the mandos provoked by the Sith to weaken the republic. You may have heard of Revan? They led many Jedi in the war against the mandos, but Jedi at war... well, it's not good for them. Falling to the dark side, Revan felt the call of the Sith emperor, and when they (and their apprentice Malak) returned from the outer rim, they were leading the forces of the Sith empire.
There are plenty more details to the story, of course, but that is the setting for the two Knights of the Old Republic games, and the MMO that followed. I remember being disappointed that the name of Revan seems to have been forgotten, a thousand years later. There's a couple of videos by DuduFilm I'd recommend watching: Darth Revan / Trailer and Revenge of the Sith - Lost Home. Just don't watch Military Minds - Journey. It's about to become very relevant...

This journey, for both fan bases, is best when shared with others.

I didn't know anything about the Clone Wars Show when I was watching this back then, I just heard about Ahsoka being Anakin Apprentice for some reason, but nothing else while watching this, and even I felt the emotional intensity of this.

Have been waiting for this reaction…one of the best episodes of the whole series! Tuesdays ♥️ “What fun, what fun!” I feel like you’d get a richer perspective with rewatching on your own time - there is so much going on between the battles and the lore and the confrontations (and Chop being an MVP). & Good catch on Vader’s mask being cut open, that was definitely intentional in the Obi-Wan finale and a Moment for Rebels fans!!
p.s. Kevin Kiner is back to score the Ahsoka series as well. I am excited and prepping for all the emotions…

I know many will comment that this is their favorite Episode(s) of Rebels.
I am here to say that from now on Rebels still is amazing...
...personally as somebody who saw Rebels before Clone-Wars it even gets simply better after this (Twilight really is not that high in my favorite episodes of Rebels personally). I do understand why many people like it so much but honestly, in terms of script and execution it is not better than what is still to come in Rebels
I just think this needs to be said since I personally think Twilight get's a bit to much hype because of what it means for beloved characters like Ahsoka and that could seem like this is peak Rebels which I don't think is fair at all

I'd like to think that Ventress will show up in live action hopefully... sure I know about the novels but as you know novels aren't 100% canon , there was actually a unfinished episode of the clone wars where she falls in love with Jedi Quinlan Voss , You remember him from the clone wars he has face paint and he's a tracker Jedi anyway they fall in love and they mentioned his name in the Kenobi series it was written on one of the walls his name so he did survive order 66 hopefully with Ventress They both went on the run together... That's why that episode was really special when I heard that name

    • @Mis7erSeven

But these novels are canon and they will not change it. Only legends novels can be overwritten by other shows. If shows reuse elements from the canon novels, they only change minor details, but not the main plot elements and this is definitely a main element.
