- Seraphic Gate Boss Iseria Queen
Killed her 10 times for the books / angelic sword, and did a attempt on the secret monsters the hamsters, but failed.
There are 3 difficulty's in the game, Easy, Normal and Hard. the differences between the difficulty's are the dungeons and bosses in each chapter. Im playing on hard mode, and the dungeons from easy/normal do not spawn in here.

played on the epsxe 1.8.0 emulator
The game runs perfectly with the settings that i used, but there are some issues tho.
Known issues:
Sound cutting out during Spirutal Concentration. it can be solved by changing the sound plugin to ''ePSXe SPU core 1.8.0'' to get that fixed, but after thats done its better to change it back to the original ''Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41'' to not have any issues with the gameplay.
A major issue in the game it self (not emulator related) is the Cut Scene freezes @ 4 points.
1. Begin of the game The Cut Scene where Valkyrie, Odin, Freya talk
2. After Arngrim dies (not sure)
3. Spirutual Concetration with Badrach
4. After defeating Gandar

@@magickgeminid2944 This is terrifyingly accurate.
It's possible for Freya to around 800 k damage with her special. The game has a mechanic regarding the purifying soul moves: the last move in a 4 row, receives a 50% damage bonus and if you get pass 50 hits, you receive another 50% damage bonus. If you were equipping a bow in Lenneth, using the normal killer move for your mage - wich grants more hits - and give Freya the last spot, she easily deals around 800k + in damage.
"If ye trust that thy eternal bonds may be broken, then let my words be as a vengeful blade upon thee! Cosmic Spear!" Out of all the characters that can invoke great magic, I absolutely love the way Iseria Queen delivers the incantation. However, I've been always felt equally stranged by her voice, as it doesn't fit her appearance AT ALL.

The fist time going up against this boss I had a 'no business being here' moment.

If anyone is interested in knowing: the other differences between the difficulties are
1. The available endings (can't get the "best" ending in Easy mode)
2. The level which party members join at (Hard mode makes all new Einherjar join at lvl1)
3. As a side effect of the dungeons being different, the Flame Jewel items are only available in Hard mode. This means that the best Seraphic Gate treasure (secret characters, some unique equipment) is locked away unless you are playing Hard mode.
Jikkuryuu easy mode also has more limited equipment in the main game, this is why hard mode is actually the easiest mode in this game. i made the mistake of playing easy my first run and ended up at a boss in jotenheim that i couldnt beat because my equipment was too shoddy. i abandoned the game and came back years later and played on hard after learning about this. the whole game was so much easier on hard because of the better characters and equipment. i also found the dungeons to be more interesting rather than more difficult.
@@Speedj2 Same happened to me. On easy mode, I got stuck in that damn Bloodbane boss in Jotunheim.
I love spamming Celestial Star and non-special Prismatic Missile in this fight, Mystina and Lezard FTW

It'd be interesting if Empress Massacre did negate Guts and Auto-Item just for that turn, taking into account it only targets one character.

It... isn't really. Soul Crushes that absolutely obliterate a character is most certainly expected. However, that first soul crush? Yeah that's OP af. The only reason the player survived was because of Freya proc'ing guts. And pretty much the entire party was with at least 90% of their health

I’ve just beaten the ethereal queen for like the 12th time and honestly I’m still not tired of this game. Going to level up two more mages than going to tackle the….Hamsters.

You can beat the Iseria Queen 10 times on hard and yet you can't beat a bunch of hamsters!?
Those hamsters are no joke. Same in VP2, they are a cruel joke by the people at enix.
Those hamsters were the toughest in the game I believe, i remember having issues with the dogs too.

Wasn't this dungeon theme used in SO3? Sounds like "Mission to the Deep Space" from SO3!! You can hear this theme about halfway through!
There are different OS being played, but most of them are in the tri-ace games secret dungeons and remixed.
Ahhhhhh that makes sense. That first one, before the battle, sounded like "Mission to the Deep Space" lol
C. Andrew Williams mission to deep space is used in all of the tri-ace post game dungeons, far as i know (except maybe star ocean 1, i think vp was the first). also etherial queen and grabriel celeste are in all of them as well along with their respective battle themes.

"Mission to the Deep Space" was original from SO2 Ex Dungeon, then goes to VP. By the way, "MIghty Blow" (boss theme from this video) - also the theme of SO2 Iseria Queen and Decus&Vesper battles.
