    My artwork is solid. Do you recommend a light sanding over the entire playfield before the first coat? 800 grit? 1200? Also, I couldn't find the exterior diamond varathane, I ordered interior. Is this an issue? Thank you!

      The interior is probably fine. I've only ever used the exterior.
      I usually go over the entire playfield with "magic eraser" melamine foam and alcohol then I wipe down with naphtha. The foam is probably similar to 1200-1400 grit. Just be careful because it's easy to sand through thin paints. The alcohol and naphtha help remove old wax and oils.

      @@SevensPinballorama Super, thank you. I have Magic erasers and rubbing alcohol. I will order the exterior. I would think it's tougher for the elements. Boy, the Varathane Diamond exterior in spray or liquid is tough to find around here. No one carries it....
