the way Cam explained that little bit of 40k lore.. god damn I want him to speak for 10 hours. such an interesting and skillful way of narrating and explaining in simple terms. I want moooore
Such a cool game, looks like a ton of fun if you and a friend have an afternoon to play! Fast and yet very tactical feeling, fits the 40k world perfectly imo
God I love hearing people try to explain 40K lore to people who don't know. It's so funny. There's SO MUCH and it's all connected to five other things that also need to be explained, which lead to five other rabbit holes... You did great Cameron. Big love.
Yes please, no more monotone grown men taking a miniature game waaay to seriously. More sound effects of a person who actually enjoys what they’re doing.
Not sure if it was mentioned in the stream comments, but when a marine spends an AP to move they can take a free shot either before or after the move. Make it very useful for removing doors on the way towards them! :)
It's interesting how Cam seems to be doing his part so much more easily than Ben, but it's really just because Ben has time to think and Cam has to act quickly.
This was cool. Would like to see you all do army or squad fights as someone who likes warhammer and the lore but will never play. Any war/team game really that's not super long
This is years late but I think the Suicide Mission has one and really only one winning option: the heavy flamer marine can advance tile by scorched tile down one hallway while the sergeant goes down another, with the sergeant and squad trying to break down the door so the flamer can reach the junction and take the shot. It really is a suicide mission and it’s highly improbable to succeed but with an aggressive marching order I think the marines can win, that one particular way.
You know I must say I feel like the 'you have to wait to clear your gun thing' was better when it wasn't there like I'd say it seems like the marines are already at a disadvantage and the points are random and fairly rare. Cam was only doing as well as he was with all the overwatch's really thanks to luck
We called that single-spearmen effect. Where in Shogun, it seemed like whenever a province was held by a single member of the supposedly weakest unit of the game, it would take out an inordinate amount kills with it before it died.
I'm having a really hard time understanding how this game could have possibly been biased against the marines in the past. .... after watching another 10 minutes I retract my statement lol. I'm also not sure which I hate more: D&D 5e for only allowing 1 opportunity attack per round, or this game for allowing unlimited.
Yeah....well....umm...I know a shit-ton of information about roller coasters of North American in the 1990s!!! Take that with all of your Warhammer knowledge.
Oh shit, I just made myself facepalm so hard: Ben: "Your dude took out five guys last turn." Me: "They call that 'the pizza roll'." (the fuck is wrong with me?) -.-
I was all in on this game, until you told me about the hourglass. I hate stressing in games. They're supposed to be relaxing (my opinion) Other than that, the game seems super sweet
over watch is as legend of the world of war craft and the being a space college of the book of edmends school shelf if brazil was a game board the pipeing of the complex space travel us as a dunkin yoyo player pog is the meaning for the puzzle ellworth maine
seriously, you NEED to do more stuff like this, Necromunda, Bloodbowl or even full-blown 40k games. I love this
Cam geeking out and making sound effects while flying around his boarding torpedo is the best thing!
the way Cam explained that little bit of 40k lore.. god damn I want him to speak for 10 hours. such an interesting and skillful way of narrating and explaining in simple terms. I want moooore
I love the up-and-moving AFK and would like to see more.
I love how excited Cam is getting.
I love Cam's 40k voice, he needs to use that more often. 1:31:00 for those who wants to hear it.
Such a cool game, looks like a ton of fun if you and a friend have an afternoon to play! Fast and yet very tactical feeling, fits the 40k world perfectly imo
Watching Cam geek out over Warhammer brings joy to my day.
This was my first proper intro to anything 40k related other than Bolt Thrower
God I love hearing people try to explain 40K lore to people who don't know. It's so funny. There's SO MUCH and it's all connected to five other things that also need to be explained, which lead to five other rabbit holes...
You did great Cameron. Big love.
i would love to see a 40k stream but its soooo pricey
I'm pretty sure a couple of the LRRm'ns are already invested in it. So that wouldn't be an issue.
Its not as bad as some Magic formats anymore really.
Not as bad as it used to be when everything was made of metal.
@@silentwyvern this aged. In such a sad way...
I'd love to see 40k, cause you guys could actually make it entertaining as opposed to most RUclips 40kers.
Yes please, no more monotone grown men taking a miniature game waaay to seriously. More sound effects of a person who actually enjoys what they’re doing.
More of this please. I love 40k
Not sure if it was mentioned in the stream comments, but when a marine spends an AP to move they can take a free shot either before or after the move. Make it very useful for removing doors on the way towards them! :)
Cam is really good at rolling 6s. I should take lessons.
I just watched The Minis and had to search up some LRR Warhammer, not disappointed
Ah Warhammer, easily the most fun you can have being FRUSTRATED.
If y'all play proper 40k, or even other spinoffs I'd totally watch the crap out of that.
It's interesting how Cam seems to be doing his part so much more easily than Ben, but it's really just because Ben has time to think and Cam has to act quickly.
The flamethrower one is simple you leave 1 in first room use flamethrower to block off paths as you progress then move 1 man to cover
So much Space Hulk! This and the Yogscasts Gamenights are awesome!
This was cool. Would like to see you all do army or squad fights as someone who likes warhammer and the lore but will never play. Any war/team game really that's not super long
More of this! =]
Space Marines vs a bunch of Gene Simmons
You pull the trigger on my... badadada badadada badadadadadada, BOLT GUN
n e e d some more of this, this is fantastic!
This is years late but I think the Suicide Mission has one and really only one winning option: the heavy flamer marine can advance tile by scorched tile down one hallway while the sergeant goes down another, with the sergeant and squad trying to break down the door so the flamer can reach the junction and take the shot. "Eagle squat!" HERESY! *Bolter noises*
Oh my goodness I wish I had gotten to see this live.
LRR and. WH40k spin-off board game! I’m there!
I no longer play fantasy or 40k but I was a ranked grand tournament player with my Wood Elves
You know I must say I feel like the 'you have to wait to clear your gun thing' was better when it wasn't there like I'd say it seems like the marines are already at a disadvantage and the points are random and fairly rare. Cam was only doing as well as he was with all the overwatch's really thanks to luck
Can't space marines move forward and to the right around a corner? i.e. can't they shave the corner off if they're moving forwards?
So, if the warp is the under-city, the pipes that run underneath and through the city connecting it, the space hulks are like rat kings? neat
the marines are the most fun to play. does anyone know are there variants for space hulk with rules for ASC?
You guys should definitely make WH40K content.
We called that single-spearmen effect. Where in Shogun, it seemed like whenever a province was held by a single member of the supposedly weakest unit of the game, it would take out an inordinate amount kills with it before it died.
Man that Sucide Mission Scenario just seems miserable
That's no moon!
watching this after all this time has me feeling sad we never got a 40k league
I feel like some thing must have been wrong with the way Ben was using the Stealers, I remember there being more restrictions.
To clarify I remember things being more... fair. This seems like playing marines is so much Harder.
Definitely, make more of these. 40k is worth it
Isn't there a Space Hulk PC game?
I'm having a really hard time understanding how this game could have possibly been biased against the marines in the past. .... after watching another 10 minutes I retract my statement lol. I'm also not sure which I hate more: D&D 5e for only allowing 1 opportunity attack per round, or this game for allowing unlimited.
Cam really sabotaged himself with not doing the free shots after every move until very late. Playing the Terminators is hard as is.
What about trying WH40k Kill team? The game takes ~45minutes, there is a lot of customisation and many playable factions
I think kill team needs a lot more work, as it stands the Heralds of ruin version is far superior.
Love 40k pls do more
Now I really want to see a 40K Slurpee cup.
Woah, Cam is TALL!
One does not simply brush over the eye of terror..
This was super awesome . . . Do MORDHEIM next plz
40 seconds in... are they really gonna play a warhammer-like game? Wow... also 1-overwatch
You guys should give Space Crusade a go! (If you have already given it a go and I'm just ignorant please forgive me) ;)
Damn. That was a lot of 6s in a row
1:30:41 if space marines so expressive they will probably say this line
Yeah....well....umm...I know a shit-ton of information about roller coasters of North American in the 1990s!!! Take that with all of your Warhammer knowledge.
I regret giving away my space hulk now XD
Oh shit, I just made myself facepalm so hard:
Ben: "Your dude took out five guys last turn."
Me: "They call that 'the pizza roll'." (the fuck is wrong with me?) -.-
Pls for 40k and adjacent games.
Please do 40k

please play blood bowl
This seems hilariously imbalanced toward the gene stealers. As fun as it is to watch I think I'd be miserable playing.
the explanation at the start was pretty bad, but the game itself is great :)
