    I manage the game studio that created Trekking through History. Sincere thanks for this video. Note on the events: we hired a professional historian to help ensure our history was as accurate as possible, and then we did much vetting to boot. We've learned homeschooling parents play our games with their kids, so we take the content seriously.

      Wow that is amazing! We can tell a lot of effort went into the historical selections. It is definitely a unique experience.

    Why would time travel need to be invented in your lifetime for you to enjoy it?
    Book your trip now, they can pick you up on the way.

    My favorite game content channel. SO refreshing, fun, and informative. This has both saved me money and made me spend more (on games) that I wasn't planning. ;-) Free from BGG madness at last!!

    I'm new to your channel (it popped up in my feed today) and so glad it was recommended to me. I did back this on Kickstarter and was super excited to see a play through. We are a homeschooling family and I can't wait to add this to our gaming library.

    Thanks for the great play through. It convinced me to buy the game. Unfortunately Francis you misplaced your tokens at 31.00
    You drew a blue and green token and placed them in the wrong columns. Not sure what impact that had on the scores.
    Great vid nonetheless.

    I was going to buy this game until I saw the BCE crap the "scientific" community employed to take Christ out of history. Ironically, that community still uses the Catholic church's calendar that has proven to be the most consistent.
    Enjoy the work yall do, keep it coming! =)

    Many thanks! This was exactly what I was looking for, to make my decision. I'm now a backer, and looking forward to playing this with the grandkids, during sleep-overs. Take care!

    This looks really nice, and I like how simple it is. It is also language-independent, which is important to me, as being from a non-English-speaking country, it increases the number of people (mostly close family in this case) I can play it with.
    I suppose my decision to back it will depend entirely on financial costs. If it turns out that it has prohibitively high shipping costs to Europe (and remember, we also pay a 20% VAT on value + shipping in the EU), then I think I will pass, and I will wait until it hits retail. I've got enough games to occupy me for a long time, so getting this one, no matter how nice it is, is not going to be a priority.

    Have both their other games Trekking the National Parks, and Trekking the World and have loved playing them with my 7 year as both a game and learning tool. This seems like a great next game in that series. It was nice to see a play through thanks I will be backing it like it did the last others.

    This game looks absolutely stunning. Love the detail on the clock pieces and all the other button things. Def need to add this to my research more list.

    I like the theme, but I think it's missing a mechanic. It's a bit too simplistic.

    • @AntLabGames
      @AntLabGames  2 года назад +2

      I think it’s intentionally simple so it’s accessible, especially for families and education communities. We are heavy gamers, so it’s definitely on the lighter side for us, but these quick playing games have a place on our shelf as well. Maybe there’s room for an expansion ;-)

    -1 for linen finish on cards. I really dislike the texture and bumpy look.

    • @AntLabGames
      @AntLabGames  2 года назад +1

      Really?? We love them. I can see how the texture would be a turnoff. What finish do you prefer?

    • @andrewwilson895
      @andrewwilson895 2 года назад

      @@AntLabGames Maybe it's because I got into gaming through Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, but I prefer cards with the thickness, durability, and smooth feel of those TCGs. I know I'm in the minority for linen finish within the board-game world, but I always hate seeing that stretch goal when games have it on KS. "I hope they don't reach that level of funding!"

    The music is distracting at best, annoying at worst.

    • @AntLabGames
      @AntLabGames  2 года назад

      Thank you for the feedback! We love it. Do you think it’s a volume issue or just not your style?

    • @brianb5145
      @brianb5145 2 года назад

      @@AntLabGames Mostly volume. The music would have to be very low in order for it to not be disruptive/annoying as I'm listening to a rules explanation or during a play-through. Why use music at all?
