This video and others have been posted with the permission of the copyright holder, Pastor Melissa Scott. If you wish to post the teaching of Dr. Gene Scott I suggest you ask permission instead of stealing, setting up private web pages etc. Did any of you ever consider asking permission? *>>> An inconvenient question; one that tithing teachers and tithers avoid and prefer not to discuss or answer...
    *
If we are supposed to be tithing money, or at all for that matter, as tithing teachers claim; why are we not supposed to be doing what God says with the tithe money? Like this...
    1. Do not pay the tithe in the form of money. Keep the money in your hand (bind it to your hand) until you...
    2. Buy wine with it.
    3. Buy strong drink (harder liqueur) with it.
    4. Buy livestock and other food.
    5. Buy whatever you desire, whatever you lust after.
    6. Share what you buy with a Levite and family.
    7. Only convert your tithe money back to fruits, vegetables and clean live stock, etc., at the location you will share it with a Levite if it is too far to transport it in the form God says it is to paid in.
    8. Eat your tithe with the Levite.
    9. Learn to fear and respect the Lord by doing one through eight above.
    >> Why don't tithing teachers tell their faithful tithers this?...
    > Deuteronomy 14;
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose:
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

Tithing was instituted before the law of Moses. So your whole diatribe is moot.

Such a great man. A true rugged individualist who had got his Ph.D. at Stanford where my parents went, Dr. Gene was a force of nature. I used to watch him on where I grew up on the San Francisco UFH channel. My first travel down to LA doing my film stuff... the first place I had to find was Faith Center. Very cool to see the Faith Center spraying fountain Dr. Gene had talked about building years earlier. After moving to Glendale I was intrigued to find the old studio where Dr. Gene would hold his nightly sermons. Turns out it was next to Marios. Dear Pastor Melissa Scott, I plead with you to make all Dr. Gene's footage available on the internet. Perhaps there is a way to get folks to pay for it. As a long time supporter and viewer, I know there was a little store on Glendale next to Faith Center that sold his VHS. You have the most amazing library in need of digitizang and then selling.

*>>> Why the Book of Malachi Cannot be Used to Instruct Christians to Tithe.
    ..*
There are two types of scriptures in God's Word; scriptures written directly to Christians and scriptures written indirectly to Christians.
The difference is that scriptures written indirectly to Christians are not commandments or promises directed by God to the Christian. When God commanded Noah to build an Ark He was not talking directly to Christians, no Christian is instructed by God in His word to build an Ark. We can learn biblical basic principles such as obedience to God from the record of Noah and the flood, but we have no direct instructions from God to build an Ark.
On the other hand, as an example, Christians are instructed by God to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15. That verse, being part of the New Testament, is written directly to Christians, and is a direct commandment to us, not a suggestion. Also, it tells us that we need to learn how to "rightly divide the word of God." Divide what? For one thing; divide between what was written directly to us and what was written indirectly to us.
Knowing the difference between scriptures written directly and indirectly to Christians is very important. Tithers and tithing teachers often use the Old Testament book of Malachi in an attempt to teach or justify "Christian tithing" sadly ignoring all of the obvious clues in Malachi that makes it clear that Malachi was not addressing or instructing New Testament Christians to tithe. The book of Malachi is in no manner instructing Christians, or for that matter, anyone but the Nation of Israel, to tithe.
    >> Using Malachi's words in his book, here is why attempting to use the book of Malachi to coerce Christians into tithing is taking scripture written indirectly to Christians and use them as scripture written directly to Christians; that is to say take them out of proper context...
    > 1. Malachi states that he is directly addressing the Nation of Israel (direct descendants of Abraham & Sarah, and Israel & Rachel, Leah) not New Testament Christians - Malachi 1:1.
    > 2. Malachi states that he is directly addressing the Priests of Arron, not New Testament Christians - Malachi 1:6, Malachi 2:1.
    > 3. Malachi (along with Nehemiah) commands that a portion of the tithes (a "tithe of the tithe" that was taken, or what amounted to one percent of the total that was tithed on) are to be conveyed to the Temple Storehouses; no New Testament church or ministry is a Temple Storehouse - Malachi 3:10 (cross ref. Nehemiah 10:37-38).
    > 4. No Christian is instructed to bring a "tithe of the tithe" into any Storehouse - Nehemiah 10:37-38 (cross ref. II Corinthians 9:7).
    > 5. Malachi states that he who disobeys the commandments of God's Word regarding tithing under the Law of Moses are subject to curses. No New Testament Christian is cursed by God - Malachi 2:2-4 (cross ref. Galatians 3:13).
    > 6. Malachi states that to whom he is writing are people who are under and subject to the Law of Moses; Christians are not under the Law of Moses and not subject to it - Malachi 4:4 (cross ref. Galatians 2:16, Galatians 2:21, Galatians 3:10, Romans 7:1-6, Ephesians 2:15, Acts 15:10, Romans 6:14, Acts 15:24).
    > 7. Repeatedly, over and over again, Malachi addresses or references places and individuals such as Jacob (Malachi 1:2), Priest (Malachi 2:7), Levi (Malachi 2:8), Judah (Malachi 2:11), Israel (Malachi 2:16), Jerusalem (Malachi 3:4), Moses (Malachi 4:4), Gentiles (Malachi 1:11), etc., but NEVER a direct mention of any future New Testament Church that is instructed to tithe.
    > 8. No verse of scripture in the New Testament references the Book of Malachi as a reason or instructions to tithe for New Testament Christians - Acts 15:24.
    >>> Conclusion...
The context of the Book of Malachi addresses the Israelites failing to bring their tithes into the Temple Storehouse - Malachi 3:8 (cross ref. Nehemiah 10:37-38), not the New testament church or Christians.
In response to Israeli's disobedience, God had judged them cursing their harvest. God instructed them to bring the tithe of grain sacrifices (Leviticus 6:14-23) and to see that He would bless them with an abundance of future crops. The “storehouse,” mentioned in verse 10, is a place to store grain in the Temple (and **Levitical cities), it is NOT a reference to any New Testament church or other ministry. Nowhere in the Old or New Testament does God describe a church or other ministry as "the Storehouse" to be tithed to.
Malachi instructs the Nation of Israel to tithe, but he does not command that Christians are to give tithes to churches. Malachi was written more than 400 years before the start of the first church in Jerusalem. Applying it's command of temple tithing to the local church removes Malachi's instructions completely out of their original context and proper use.
Christians are to be free will givers, never tithers; there is no such thing as God commanded "New Testament Tithing." - II Corinthians 9:7
**The Levitical cities were 48 cities in ancient Israel set aside for the tribe of Levi, who were not allocated their own territorial land when the Israelites entered the Promised Land. There is no New Testament equivalent.

For the scribes who would copy and paste their doctrine of legalism here and about the internet, take heed:
Matthew 23:23-25 King James Version (KJV)
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

*My credentials are SCRIPTURE; what are your credentials, where is your SCRIPTURE proving me wrong? Here are more of my credentials...*
*>> The Facts; Clear and Concise on tithing...*
      > 1. Jesus stated that tithing that God had commanded was a matter of the Law of Moses, The Torah - Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42:49.
      > 2. Jesus did not state that tithing was a matter of Adam, Cain, Abel, Abraham or Jacob; NONE of them are ever cited in God's Word as examples of tithing to be followed.
      > 3.The Law of Moses, The Torah, is described by the writer of The Book of Hebrews in Hebrews 7:18 clearly as...
      - Weak,
      - Unprofitable,
      - Annulled.
      > 4. Malachi 3:6-10 was written pursuant to the Law of Moses, The Torah, of which the Children of Israel were under and subject to at the time of it's writing - Malachi 4:4, and Malachi was addressing the corrupt Priests of the day, Malachi 2:1
      > 5. The Law of Moses, the Torah, where God instructed tithing originates from, has been annulled, and even as much of the moral principles of the Law are now part of the New Testament, nowhere in the New Testament did God transfer any instructions to tithe to anyone, to neither Jew or Gentile.
      > 6. Tithing is not advised, suggested or commanded for any Christian living under the New Testament. God instructed tithing has nothing to do with New Testament Christianity.
      > 7. If you have been told that you, as a Christian, must or should be tithing, YOU HAVE BEEN LIED TO. Don't believe the lie...
2 Timothy 4:3 - "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto myths."
Titus 1:10-11 - "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: WHO's MOUTHS MUST BE STOPPED, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for FILTHY LUCRE'S SAKE."
      > 8. Christians are instructed to be free will cheerful givers as God leads, not tithers in any way shape or form.
      *>>> A Tither's Checklist...*
Be sure to check the Tither's Checklist before paying your "tithe." Make sure it complies with The Law of Moses, the Word of God, where God established commanded tithing.
      1. Comes from the Promise Land. Lev. 27:30, 32, Neh. 10:37.
      2. Is fruits, vegetables and clean livestock. 2 Chron. 31:6, Neh. 10:37, 2 Chron. 31:5.
      3. Is paid to a Levite. Numbers 18:21.
      4. Is three tithes totaling about 23 1/3%. Tithe one; Leviticus 27:30-33, Tithe two; Deuteronomy 14:22-27, Tithe three; Deuteronomy 14:28-29.
      5. You live on the Promise Land while you pay the tithe. Deuteronomy 12:10.
      6. You are not a Gentile. Leviticus 27:30-34; Psalms 147:19-20.
      7. You are a physical descendant of Abraham and Sarah, and of Issac, Jacob/Israel living under the law of Moses. Psalms 147:19-20.
      8. If temporarily converted to money, is not paid in the form of money, and you buy what you want to buy with the money. Deuteronomy 14:22-27.
      9. The money is converted to wine, strong drink, food, and what ever you desire to buy with the money that you share with a Levite and his family at the feast where God has placed His name on the Promise Land. Deuteronomy 14:22-27.
      10. Your pastor can prove he is authorized to receive a tithe, and that he personally owns the tithe, and that it is his inheritance. Numbers 18:21.
      11. You tithe because you are living under the Law of Moses, and not the New Testament. Numbers 18:21, Acts 15:24
      12. Your pastor is claiming you must pay tithes because Abraham did, Jacob said he would, or your pastor said so, when God has NOT said so. Ezekiel 22:28, Lamentations 3:37.
      >>> Does this sound like the "tithe" your pastor is telling you that you must pay him every Sunday? NO? ...THEN DON'T PAY IT; you're being robbed by thieves who God has NOT given the right to take tithes from anyone.

@AdMark Boorrrriiinnngg. Another Ad Mark cut and paste infoturd from the church of tightwads for Jesus. I asked you a simple question and you cannot answer. I must conclude you give nothing to nobody. Where is your Church? Are you a Pastor or is your calling to be Gods bean counter, making sure God does not receive too much $$$ having given his Son who gave his life. I want to see you explain that to God at your White Throne hearing.
Proverbs 22:16 is the Old Testament. You are incorrectly applying that to New Testament Christians.
You are so wrong in so many ways. Please explain Galatians 6:6. Who is giving or sharing what with whom?
Galatians 6:6, NIV: "Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor."
Galatians 6:6, ESV: "Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches."
Galatians 6:6, KJV: "Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things."
Galatians 6:6, NASB: "The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him."
Galatians 6:6, NLT: "Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them."
Galatians 6:6, CSB: "Let the one who is taught the word share all his good things with the teacher."
    Galatians 6:6, New Living Translation
“Those who are taught the word of God should help their teachers by paying them.”
I'm sure you have some followers, all who seek justification for not giving to God.
So Again Ad Mark I ask to whom and how much is to be paid?
BTW Why do you hide behind a fake name?
