My dad is looking into getting 2 wings for his A4 Avant B7 57 plate estate in the near future so just grabbing info to help him. seen 5 vids and this seems the best and no bumper removal. It's served him well for probs 10 yrs or more and pulls great even with the caravan and altered suspension for heavier loads. The EML has come on and garage found 2 fault codes, Glow plug No3 and the AC sensor so he's getting that done first, then look into the wings. Liked/Saved/Subbed, Thank you 😃👍
Did mine today, very helpful video, thank you BUT What you failed to mention (and this may help anyone else who is attempting this job) is that the 2 10mm nuts, kinda behind the indicator, also actually secure the front bumper, and AFTER you have removed these the “one Hidden behind where the red flap is” (@ 1:52 in your video), you need to pull The front bumper forwards and outward to get to it -because it is behind the bumper… but with those 2x 10mm nuts removed you can flex the bumper out of the way enough to get to it.
What brand of wing was the new wing.its looks a good fit my b7 is due 2 new ones and im looking best aftermarket brand around 90ish per wing.would even go up to 100 per wing.
Just the job, I have a Seat Exeo (same thing with tweaked styling and a Seat badge) with crusty wings. This is a big help! Ive heard the panels can be fiddly to line up with the rest of the car, did you have any issues?
It wasn’t too bad to be fair. There are a lot of screws and bolts as in video there isn’t much room for adjustment if you get them in right. Thanks for commenting!
Replaced my wings today, the heads-up was great to have beforehand, so I knew where to look for everything. Thanks again! 👍 Now to do the OSF window regulator......
Nice to know you don't have to remove the bumper! Cheers mate
No problem buddy! Good luck with yours!

Thank you very much! Tried to keep it short and sweet! Does need a few hours per side, much more than the 30mins I thought! I wish you both good luck!
@@RustBoxesandProfits We'll get the job done, mainly to your video thankyou 👍

Thank you for the additional information!!!
Can I ask how long it took from start to finish tia
I swapped both wings over in about 1/2 a day. Not a 5 minute job I thought it would be! Lol
Thanks for the reply 👍
Good luck!

Hi I bought a donor car in same colour and swapped them, so was the right colour. Cheapest way I think!

Hi can u tell me the tools and sizes I need please ?
Hey, was a while ago now, from memory you need a torx set and basic socket set 10mm 12mm etc. you also need lots of patience! 🤣
Am not one for patience so it's going to be a long day 😂
@clayboy42 🤣 when it starts not to go well put down the hammer and get a cuppa on! There are some fiddly bits!
Don't say that I have butter fingers 😂 I'll order the tools n ill let u know how I get on, cheers

So u don’t need to take off the bumper 👍
No no need. Just be patient lol
