EDP is the best, it’s the only fragrance I’ve re bought and have gone through 300ml of it. Worked in 3 different places and have got compliments at all 3 from wearing the EDP. The magic is definitely not from smelling it off paper and not off skin, it’s in the air where the magic is for this one is, I’ve been told it fills the room in a pleasant way

I've had the Parfum since release, and recently bought the 10oz refill bottle. Absolutely worth it.

The Elixir is great in my opinion. I’m always thinking of situations in which I can wear it. Some people don’t like the opening but I don’t have a problem with it.

Elixir has become my favorite perfume from my large collection. I find it very different from the others in the sauvage series. Because of the ambroxan in the edt edp I have headaches and feeling sick from the edt edp.

I own the EDT and have given the elixir two wearings. I prefer the elixir. The performance is monstrous and I love it, and it has great depth while still maintaining mass appeal. I love it. As for Sauvage EDT, it's the most extreme fragrance I have. It's very metallic, it's peppery, it's masculine, and it is IN. YOUR. FACE. It's a solid fragrance to me. I don't love it but I definitely like it
I really love the uniqueness of the Elixir. I've been getting a lot of compliments. !!One piece of advice!! Let it sit for at least 1 hour before you go out. It will smell much better.
What uniqueness? It stinks. Smells exactly like cheap Drakkar Noir cologne who everyone's dad and grand dad wore in the 80's and 90's
The Edt is a fresh beast for summer. The other three are good options for cooler months. I have a very large fragrance collection, but i don't mind these scents at all. Elixer is fantastic and has proven very popular when i wear it.
I’ve been in the fragrance game for a long time and I must say, Sauvage is the greatest compliment getter of all time. I don’t wear it (the line) too often, but when I do, ladies come out of the wood work.

I run with the parfum for fall/winter and find the longevity great, projection not terrible but not as pushy as everything else. It is definitely good if you are receiving hugs or are close with someone. It is one that is just warm and inviting to really make someone not want to let go of you. I look forward to wearing it and Eros (toilet and parfum) this winter before switching back to YSL Y and Dylan Blue for spring/summer next year.
thats interesting, im 31 and i liked the parfum the best but i did like the EDP, but id be wearing either for the fall and winter, but have others have well but summer would be rasasi hawas and acqua di Gio EDP
Great break down. Didn’t like elixir much at first but it grew on me and became my fav. Then the EDT for me. The extra zing separates it more than just a shower gel scent I get from edp and the parfum is too soft a and timid

I currently own only the EDP and have smelled the EDT and Elixir. I love the Elixir and will be picking it up soon
How was the experience with Elixir?
I have to say Elixir is my favorite and Parfum is nice. I think it’s a quite high-quality aromatic with both a nice fresh and sweet punch to the face, and the plus side being you only need maybe 2-3 sprays. Also, it doesn’t smell like Sauvage, but somehow undoubtedly still has that DNA in there. I think we see eye to eye. I also just love that burgundy on you. That has to be my favorite color on a lady and I see your beautiful true brunette hair with it; that sticks out to me and it’s always great with brunettes.
EDP is the best! Sauvage just has a bad rep, it’s the ex-boyfriend cologne so obviously men are going to hate it and women are going to say “be different”
EDP smells pungent compared to the EDT.
It doesn't matter, girls still love it regardless the popularity, the same thing is said about Le Male, 1 Million and many more but it doesn't matter the girls love to smell all of them. And not of all of the girls smell those fragrances that often. Of course, they might to be the most unique anymore but they are a safe-bet to turn heads. I can say I'm one of those ex-boyfriends that wore all the fragrances too and eventually at least one of all the girls I dated their ex may have worn a fragrance I have but in the end you have to be the better boyfriend and flash her that she wouldn't never think about her ex-boyfriend when smelling one of the fragrances but make new memories with me/you.
The Community puts too much thought into it, the reality is a girl can smell SWY, 1 Million, Le Male and what not for decades everyday and she will still love it the millionth time if she has ever loved the smell before. But also, it is unlikley you will come across a thousand people and a thousand people are wearing the same fragrance, maybe there's 1-20 but try to find them under a thousand people 😂

Elixir performs better than all of them and imo smells better I respect everyones opinions tho they are all great choices
The Elixer can not be gauged on the initial blast
Ideally it’s far superior to actually give a legitimate wearing a few times to understand the actual full experience and essence of a complex fragrance as it transforms and has stages and various nuances throughout the dry-down . So many niche fragrances and more complex designers need to dry down properly before you really get a sense of the true character they provide
I’ve had the elixir for a few months now and I’m still turned off by the opening, it’s just a blast of pepper to me. After about 30 minutes it transforms and is one of my favorite fragrances once it’s dried down.
I own 3 EDP is my fav but I like the Elixer in cold weather
Funny… we described the EDT and Elixir in almost exact words. The Elixir needs to be on the skin of a confident, yet emotionally deep man. Short beard, mountain climbing, sipping warm rum in a snowy bar in Jackson Hole😉

Oh my Gosh my absolute Favorite is ELIXIR and 2nd Favorite is Edt. It is like the very best fragrance in history of Mass Appeal fragrances the EDT, though some may say boaring....clearing my throat..haha...I say Fantastic especially Males from the middle of nowhere Illinois like Sterling, Illinois or Pekin.
Too bad elixer is a boxer dropper fragrance. I'm not sure why majority of women hates elixer.

The Parfum used to be far better in performance in my experience than it is nowadays. I bought a bottle back in 2019 I think, and it was amazing. I could still smell it on my shirts when doing laundry days later. I bought another bottle at the end of last year, and I am SO disappointed in the performance. It lasts a couple of hours, and then is completely gone. I fell in love with the scent profile and was always my favourite Sauvage, but I will never buy the Parfum again. I just figured I got a bad batch. The Elixir seems like an obvious replacement
I don't know if I smelled a bad tester of Elixir but to my nose it smelled like the antiseptic Campho-Phenique, where the active ingredient is camphor. Indeed several reviews of Dior Sauvage Elixir on Fragrantica describe it as somewhat camphorous!

I get the most compliments with the Dior Sauvage Parfum for sure. Clinique Happy for Men EDT is my 2nd most complimented scent.
I feel like this scent dna can be perceived as youthful or juvenile the way it is presented in the edt however as the dna gets sweeter and thicker and less fresh I find the other versions (especially the elixir) to have an old man type vibe. Am I the only one that feels that way?
I've tried Sauvage Elixir. It's amazing. I've ordered Sauvage EDT which I'll receive tomorrow. Another great fragrance I own would be Bleu De Chanel EDP.
And what's your opinion on EDT so far? Is it worth going for? I'm still hesitating between this one and EDP, but would rather lean towards EDT as I'm more keen on sweeter scents.

The sample for edt smells good but when you order the actual bottle it doesn’t smell like Dior at it is just flat I bought it in April 2023

I was shocked to learn something about the big name frags at arguably the biggest Niche store in Canada. I am in a city with over 2 million people. You can get big name colognes in MANY drug stores, gas stations, etc like Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel, Tom Ford, Initio. Also they are all over airports. He/she said ambroxan is amped up sooo much like msg for food. The store gets asked all the time why many designer frags are not on the shelf and the response is on a website now to save time explaining. Pre Estee Lauder takeover they were all over her shelves. I, like many, smell BDC and Dior S. and find it just ok. The reason some on youtube still say it is the best ever is they get free bottles TO SELL and make $. I was floored.
Edt stays the best!
Something putting you off about it? It has to be the black pepper note. BP is all I get until the dry down on the first three. Elixir is a different beast. Dior seems like they learned their lesson and wanted to switch things up.
I prefer the parfum and I own it. Next month I want to get the Elixir

Yes, but Elixir does not share hardly any Sauvage DNA. They just used the Sauvage name to promote a new fragrance. It’s also extremely hard to wear as 1 spray will “gas” out a whole house.
I get more compliments with Elixir from older/mature women and then the EDP from the younger crowd.
Just bought the Parfum version as a blind buy as I thought the EDT was just strong but quick to dissipate…

I saw this annoying kiddo maybe in middle school ask his poor mom to buy him the Elixir. The mom literally said she didnt like it and told the kid to buy the EDT. She also said that it was too expensive for her. HE WASN'T INTERESTED and was extremely rude to his mom.
I LOVE THE EDT. I literally bought the EDT right then and there to prove how much better it was. It makes me feel confident and matches my vibe so well. I love the EDT. Make sure the mom was in earshot and she asked me questions. I gave the EDT all of the hype it deserves lol.
It hyped the kiddo up so much he bought it with pride. I feel like fragrance RUclipsrs and TikTokers hype up weird fragrances sometimes. Impressionable kids buy without even thinking about what they're getting.
Regular people (non-fragrance-nerds) Will probably do better with the most fresh of fragrances for men.
The elixir is horrible in my opinion. Way too spicy for no reason. Goes in an entirely different direction. If you want something spicy, get spice bomb extreme, bad boy extreme, the one, la nuit ysl, or stronger with you. The elixir is not worth it at all. It's a hit or miss with the ladies
I agree partly, I really like all the dior sauvages especially the edp. But the elixir is so good and differant aswell, sure I can agree it’s ’’overpriced’’ but I can afford it and I love, the preformance and quality of elixir is hard to beat. But I agree that younger crowds and young teens shouldnt get it as it’s for a bit older, masculine and confident men. If I was in my early teens tho I would deffo get the edt or edp.

Majority of women do not like elixir. Men loves elixer but women hates it. It's almost like Aventus where you get lots of men loving it and very few women liking it. Elixir is definitely a boxer dropper.
I'm guessing you're basing this on assumption? and not on real experience. I for one use this in the regular on nights out, my friends women, girls, guys, tell me I smell amazing. I had this one chick tell me I smell like a "daddy" and another tell me I smell like "sex" so the elixir is definitely a panty dropper for sure, oh I also got laid this one night and the chick told me she could still smell my amazing perfume on her bedsheets.
anyone looking to buy any sauvage do yourself a favour, skip the boring edt and edp and go for elixir.
@@JonathanModoh I have seen it for myself observing at the Macy’s counter during the holidays. Not a single women purchased elixir over the other sauvages. I was going to purchase it but my girl emphatically said NO. Even the Macy’s sales rep told me they only see women purchase the Parfum and rarely elixir. Erica in this video doesn’t even like it. Say what you want but you have empirical evidence in this video.

I get compliments from women only at the office, and the store. Majority of them smell the dry down, which is the best part of this fragrance. Definitely my most complimented fragrance.

Half the time I wear Elixir it works, then half the time it doesn’t and I don’t know why. It’s in the dry down, sometimes it’s oddly sour, other times it’s very masculine.
You'd be surprised at the way your skin can act depending on what you've had to eat and drink!! Try drinking mint tea more often...

Parfum is my favourite it it’s performance is disappointing! Elixir is a beast mode but for 50+ older men. Never liked the edt that much, we are left with EDP 😅
She's spot on... I smelled all the Sauvage releases today and it's totally overrated. The EDP is the best of them, but it still smells like peppery fat guy body odor in the opening. The dry down is decent, but there are far better options out there for less money. The new Mont Blan Legend Blue EDP blows all of them out of the water IMO. Check it out guys!

I have a Territoire Wild Cologne. It smells just like the Doir Sauvage for a considerably lower price. I love the spicy smell of my Territoire Wild Cologne. When I wear it, women come up and sniff me and can't get enough of it. And by the way, you're very beautiful Erica!
EDP is nothing like drug store stuff. addictive on the skin when mixed with natural scent. When you cuddle at night it will have dimension and makes me kiss my man’s neck all the time. This is coming from a woman who normally prefers wood scents.
I much prefer The Scent line by Hugo Boss.

I had sauvage edp bought the 3.4oz wish I didn’t. Wore it a couple times then I threw it in the trash. Suavage is just terrible.

@@sharkmun thank you I understand I just have gotten positive reactions I myself when I first put my nose to it wasn’t too impressed but I ended up buying it some time later. then has I was wearing it I was getting very positive reaction and I still didn’t not understand but then I caught the fragrance in the air when it wasn’t on me and then I understood just my experience with it though now I really enjoy it I always get asked by females what I’m wearing usually it’s so they could it for there boyfriends or husbands lol
