Rape is a godly act in hindu religion because their gods rape too, such as their god Brahma raped his daughter Swarasati who is considered to be goddess of education, god Indra came down to rape Ahalya taking advantage of her husband's absence. Just Google rape by hindu gods, you can see the whole picture there. 🐒🐒🐒🐒

She has travelled to countries like Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and she had returned safely. It’s so ironic and disgustingly shameful that India is where it happened. That poor woman. The mentioned Islamic countries have barbaric laws against r@pists, which is a strong deterrent. But in India we claim to be a dEmOcRaCy and hence the liberal laws. The result- r@pists run free and rampant.

@Fdr-xt8ud Cameras may be cheap, but I don't think you recognise the scale of poverty in some parts of India. I'm an Australian guy who has been to India. It is a beautiful and amazing place. There are literally more Millionaires in India than there are people in Australia. - But I have also never seen such widespread poverty and squalor. You know you're not in the West when you sit on the communal board that passes as a public lavatory, and the pig below you snuffles your butt waiting for its next meal. And in the same city you can find Hotels as lavish as anything in London or Paris from within. It is a land of extremes. But, I loved it, and would go back. I wouldn't set up camp in a random rural field though.

Suddenly a cook (we knew him) from a local Café run out of nowhere and told us if we don't leave immidiately, these men (he showed us a crowd of 15 (!) men who were talking very loudly) will rape us. He told us they discuss how to rape us. I still think sometimes what could happen if this guy didn't came for help... I was not expecting this propaganda kind of reporting from you Palki, you ignored crime rates of western countries, you ignored how many Indian people got killed or harassed in the US & west. Meanwhile these kind of incidents can happen to Indians travelling abroad & privileged white people far apart from self shamming their Country, wouldn't give a shit about it, while Indians would be busy posting hateful comments about themselves.
You ignorantly present figures like how many women got raped in India in a day, seriously???
Don't you know that India has the largest population of people living on the Earth, even if the crime rates are same the number will be always highest in India??
Don't you feel this is a distorted way of presenting news? this kind of storyline was first picked by British propaganda media tools to spread hatred against India & you are spreading this narratives again? why?
Why you attach INDIA tag with these crimes? sadly these incidents happen to people all over the world, there isn't anything India specific about it.

Just to put things in perspective, in the US, one women is sexually assaulted every one and half minutes, eventho the population is quarter of India . In the rape statistics, India is not even in the top 70 countries which is occupied by so called idealistic countries such as UK, Sweden, South Africa etc where the media doesn't report. India is not even in the top 70. The difference is in India, it's taken seriously and every Indian feels responsible when something like this happens to anyone, none the less foreign tourists and it's punished heavily.

It is multi dimension problem :
Camp only in designated areas, how can someone camp anywhere? They may have done that in Himachal, well people of that state are too good to be true.
But rest of India, check crime stats of state, cities you visit, live in hotels, verified paying guests and other such accommodations, and camp where allowed.
Even in US, you camp at designated places.
What is wrong with many such men seen in India …
In Bollywood, Eve teasing , following women is promoted and that is made to appear as some skill in young boys and men and necessary skill to get attention of women or to get stupid romance. People are gullible here and they adopt it in real life …
Off late from 5 to 10 years internet data is extremely cheap, cheapest in world, and P’’n has captured minds of young men …
This all gets reflected on streets.
Third some specific communities believe woman’s sexuality is public property .. so such mindset also causes problems.
Fourth, majority of women in India enter in physical relationships only post marriage, and there is hardly any discussion on how to let go l’s’t , so it pents up in those who expose themselves to too much media where women are objectified, and they have no proper family values, no strong women as role models and nothing to do in life. Learning how to let go l’s’t by observing as third person is very important . Observe your rise and fall of l’s’t, observe your breath. Once it is learnt is is easier to let go.
Fifth, many cultures and communities believe women are lesser being or weaker being etc not on physical plane but on spiritual plane. That makes men to see them as objects and not at par as human.

India is among the top 3 countries listed as dangerous for women and the labor class. The other two are Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Afghanistan and Pakistan are not even listed among 15 top countries. In India the treatment meted out to poor people especially lower casts is nauseating. Such discrimination in a country where 47 crore make under $3 a day and 28 crore make under $1 day is alarming. Indians make number 1 immigrants when it comes to statutory rapes, date rapes, child labor, fake degrees, green card frauds, welfare frauds ( free cash, free housing, free food, free medical) and domestic violence in the USA. Indian media hides reality and love to present hunky dory pictures to fool the public so Modi gets all credit.

@@bharatigamer4377 I think the problem is people with no knowledge just randomly decide to go to an alien land with a new language every 100km. I would like to put some blame on that too. This can happen anywhere TBH, not just India. As Indians we ask for road directions to anyone, if someone invites us into their home we go in unsuspectingly. We love to share and accept shared food. I am sure that won't go well for Indians in foreign countries. I could list the issues but I think people should be mature enough to understand every country has issues, even Europe, Australia and USA. My mother is out, travelling on her bike alone till 11 pm, taking some risky roads. We got to know how to deal with stuff, locals of EVERY country know how to do that in their own country. The problem is when someone is overconfident and ignorant in foreign land, be it literally anywhere, you can get into serious trouble for something super common in your own country but unacceptable in the foreign land.

I'm a 50 yr old blond, white American woman and I have visited India 4 times over the past 25 years, sometimes for business and sometimes for leisure. I have always felt safe in Mumbai, but I felt very unsafe in New Delhi, Rajasthan, Calcutta, and some other parts of northern India. Many men just stare at you, some are extremely curious and ask if you're married, where are you staying, (weird questions to ask a stranger they have never met before). If they can make an older woman, like me, feel uncomfortable, I can only imagine what the younger women might be experiencing. However, I have also met some wonderful Indian men (and women), who are extremely helpful and protective, and they look out for you, if they see you getting scammed on the street, they intervene and alert you. In general, I have felt a lot safer in India, than in many other countries I have visited in Africa, South America, or Eastern Europe. Some tips for travelers to India: make sure you stay in upscale hotels in safe neighborhoods in major cities, travel in a group of 3+, always wear clothes that entirely cover your body.

So true. Sadly, Indian laws are one of the main causes because people are sex starved.
Porn (even creation and not just consumption), Prostitution, etc should be unambiguously LEGAL in India. Laws should be quickly updated if necessary.
This is ridiculous. Sex is a basic need. If someone cannot find a partner, they should still be able to satiate their needs. Legalising Porn, Prostitution, etc in transparent and clear manner is important.
Rapes might still happen but then rapists cannot say "I did it because I could not satisfy my sexual needs".

Every Indian man, woman or child, knows that after dark many parts of our many cities become dangerous. They were unfortunate that they thought of camping at such a secluded and remote place. Even densely populated places are not safe. So please avoid such remote and dark places where you cannot even call for help. Look we are all humans and there are bad humans everywhere . At the same time you teach girls how to self protect and do the necessity to ensure more safety.... for the simple reason that the world is not a perfect place and no matter how much you want it to be, there will always be bad people somewhere. So do the necessity to guard yourself from harm.

We are never aware of the gender specific problems and is seen as a crime or a laughing stock.
What will happen to kids off such society who are stopped in all possible way by the society saying their relationship ( even platonic ones ) is kind of sin and these kids get access to cheap internet with 70% porn content. Which doesn't promote love rather makes sex as the best pleasure which could be extracted from the bodies of female and male.
This is how our society is getting shaped. Where a girl is accused of inappropriate dressing while a boy is seen as a potential molester . Getting true partner is hard , needs effort and patience . While getting sex is easy nowadays .. and some of those who aren't getting it will ultimately go to these extremes especially if his peers are getting sex easily.
