this video was a life-saver, picked up a customer's bike, put it on the rack and drove back to the shop. front wheel was completely locked and i thought i had damaged the lever, took it apart and found years and years of dirt since it had never been serviced, it took a whole day of struggling but I managed it, thanks for the video
@@Chambers36TheEnter yea indeed I did it faster, the next day the lever was stuck again so i had to rebuild it once again, i sanded down the bushings because i thought that was the problem and somewhat it was, sadly the following days i found leaks at the lever and in the caliper too, so rip that brake
It’s actually pretty easy… All you need to do is use a 2mm L shaped Allen wrench, or similar and insert it through the lever hinge pin hole to keep the spring, lever and roller bit all basically aligned. This way, it makes it SO MUCH quicker and easier to get the pivot pin through and in the correct position. lol, it’s really not that hard if you use something to hold the lever and spring together guys. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Now you have stripped one you can cut down the time needed considerably. They seem to be pretty reliable levers.

Thanks for going to the trouble to make this video, it’s a great help 👍
This video really helped a lot. My lever is feeling 100% after doing this.
Glad to hear it, thanks for taking the time to comment.
Thank you. Well explained with a lot of details.
M615 doesn't have that grub screw at 4:26... iits not rebuildable
getting the spring in place is a twat. I use a bolt to do it.
I agree, it's a right bugger.
