- Taekwondo - (Outside Wrist) Supporting Outward Block ( (바깥팔목) 거들어 바깥막기 (bakkatpalmok) kodureo bakkat makgi )
This technique uses the outside wrist to protect the trunk with the Outside Middle Block ( 바깥막기 momtong bakkat makgi ) technique. The (bakkatpalmok) kodureo bakkat makgi is similar to Supported Knifehand Outward Block ( 손날 거들어 바깥막기 sonnal kodureo makgi ) except instead of a knifehand, a fist is used. The blocking hand starts from shoulder level with the palm of fist facing up while you stretch the other hand far from the waist at shoulder height level with the palm of fist facing down. In the final form, the blocking arm's elbow and the supporting hand should not be touching each other. Remember to keep the wrists straight and the blocking arm is angled 90-120 degrees. The supporting hand provides extra force for the block and acts as a preparation move for a follow up technique.
