Good idea. For a light try one of those led runner lights with motion detection. Then when you open the door the light shines on your collection. :)

The cars take up a lot less space it you remove them from the packaging and put them into 24 compartment Plano cases. I show this on my channel. The only reasons to keep Matchbox cars and Hot Wheels cars in their packaging is if they are vintage or there is something interesting about the packaging. True diecast collectors usually remove the cars from the packaging and place them into nice display cases. 😃

I have loose and carded collection. This video is just a fun project I did that I wanted to share. In my opinion a “true” collector is someone who does it for their own personal enjoyment and however they choose go about it is no more or less valid than the next person. Collect what you like how you like, as long as you’re having fun you’re doing it right 👌😊

Mate, awesome video and great job! 10 minutes nicely spent (but I know it would have taken a few days for you to complete this project) . This looks so practical, inexpensive and super tidy. This video deserves millions of view mate. Share your ideas, they are awesome. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺🙂👌

@@514_diecast5 Yes, for sure, it did inspire me. I was.planning to put some shelving this weekend. After watching ur video, i'll put a peg board behind the shelf with some long pegs - that would look great and tidy :) Thanks once again mate.:)

WOW that a great idea , this hobby ( or for me addiction) does take up lot of room i was going to do the same thing about 2 years ago but my friend who good with tools didnt have the time so i used Command Clear Wire Hanger Hook, Value Pack of 9 Hooks and 12 Adhesive Strips x loads in my cupboard so can only get 1 or 2 on each hook so such on back of cupboard an side and on doors so when opens big display , but yours is far better idea just for the amount you can store and display 😀😀👌👌💯💯➕➕👍👍no 52

Very nice! How many cars can your display hold? I'm going to try this.

I think about 500 cars. 12” pegs. 10 per peg. So yeah 500-600 cars. Do it. Totally worth it and not very difficult or expensive if you already have a cabinet 👌
