Well influencers have a lot of influence on younger kids “hense the name influencer” which is why it is generally more of a problem when they vape or do drugs etc. because lots of younger kids look up to them. It’s their job as someone who makes content for younger kids to keep in mind that. I am not trying to hate or start conflict I just figured I would help try and explain from a different angle. 💕

But these days a lot of parents can’t monitor what their kids do online, or a kid may not have a parent who can help them to understand what’s right and wrong. I kind of think if influencers like teachers, they don’t raise the kids but it would be innapropriate for them to tell their students about vaping.etc.

With Maddie, she didn’t have a choice because she was on a contract with Sia. Maddie has stated in one video that she didn’t want to do the film because she felt uncomfortable but to be fair she didn’t really have a choice because at the time she was on a contract with Sia.

I only feel bad for Maddie and Kenzie. Maddie had obviously been uncomfortable and scared that people would think she was making fun of autistic people, but Sia made her do it. I've lost a lot of respect for Sia- even before the movie came out. Especially with the unhealthy relationship between her and Maddie. (I do blame her mom for most of these things though, as she doesn't seem to parent at all). As for Kenzie, it's none of our business as to whether or not someone vapes. If Kenzie wasn't famous, none of us would care. It would just be another kid vaping. Cancel culture is gross. Everyone else, I don't feel bad for.

The problem is not her acting. It's the fact that the role she was given was inappropriate for her. As soon as the trailer was released I felt terrible for Maddie because I knew how people were going to react
I feel like it’s not really the ‘she’s an actor’ idea itself, rather it’s the way Sia reacted and the way Sia had Maddie portray autism.
Sia reacted quite rudely to the criticism, which of course made things worse. Also, since Maddie isn’t autistic herself, the stereotypical way she was instructed to act (no hate on Maddie, just the producers) felt mocking to a lot of autistic people. It’s like if a male actor plays the role of Superwoman and awkwardly bats his eyes and pretends to be dumb and over obsessed with makeup - it might be acting (and true for some women), but it’s mocking and stereotypical and might make women feel insulted.
It’s better to have a real autistic person play the lead role, not only because it will better represent them, but also because it won’t come off as mocking.
On that note, I also do feel terrible for Maddie. She had a breakdown about this role and didn’t want to do it. Her relationship with Sia scares me as much as her relationship with Abby did - both women are obsessive of her.
Her new movie ‘The Fallout’ seems to be doing well, though!
