Imagine winning in the teen divison with an acrobatic lyrical solo. This was legendary, impactful and tear jerking for anyone that read the diary of Anne frank. The only crime is that after all these years, we don't have the full solo.

My grandparents are Holocaust survivors so this dance definitely hits close to home and I think Brooke did phenomenally well she deserved the win

her throwing the book at the end was so powering! you could feel the emotion
Brooke was absolutely beautiful in this she was one of the most talented on the group. I think dancing with younger kids stopped her form excelling and reaching her full potential. You can see more emotion in her performance here

This solo gives me chills. It is weird how are society was during ww2. It was such a scary time yet this dance is so touching and beautiful. This dance was meant for Brooke. She honored Anne Frank in such amazing way. My Great Grandfather helped free the Jews during that time while his friends were being killed. ww2 is such a sensitive topic to talk about, but this dance was just beautiful in every way. When I read the story about Anne Frank it brings a tear to my eye and gives me literal chills. THIS DANCE WAS BEAUTIFUL

As soon as I found out Brooke had done solo called "the diary of Anne Frank" I was straight up looking on RUclips for it 😂. I just find Anne Frank's story so incredibly inspirational. She shouldn't have died in that cruel and vile way. R.I.P Anne Frank 💕😇

i’m going to go out here and say this is disrespectful to jewish culture. i am jewish myself and find this very offensive, i don’t think Anne Franks story should be used in any purpose other than education. Turning this into a dance is highly inappropriate to the culture and Anne Frank herself. I think that you guys can do better than do this i understand this was a while ago but in the future maybe think more.

You can tell Abby really did like Brooke, they had a different kind of relationship than Abby and Paige did for sure. I think she wanted more for her and wanted her to better herself.
But at the same time brooke was dancing with a bunch of juniors at 14 so naturally she was going to become bored and stagnant as a dancer. When she did the group dance with the seniors she was beautiful and you could tell the challenge was motivating her.
@@megmur1766 I can see where you are coming from, but there was a lot of seniors who would have loved to have been on that team with the opportunity she got. In all dances Brooke was great, I don’t think she looked any different with the seniors, this solo is unreal. I just think Brooke lost some of her passion as she got older, she wasn’t bothered whether she was dancing or not and Abby could see this, she knew Brooke had talent and wanted her to hold onto it.
@@LucyAnna7384 I agree with your comment and the comment above yours. I do think Abby believed in Brooke and knew she was talented, but dancing with kids younger than her, having to do dances that’s made for their age range at 14 can be boring and it’s not going to help her improve as a dancer.
She used to be favorite of Abby, but everything change when a Dance mom Show was release, like she's with Abby since she was 5 yrs old I think. She used to be with senior too doing advance skill and dance that's why probably she got bored cuz a bunch of kid with her. She's the Og

This is a good dance that could have been great. It's great when you take a powerful subject like this and make art, it's wrong when it's done solely to be exploitive. I'm not blaming Brooke for that, I'm blaming Abby. Brooke should have had to read The Diary of Anne Frank before this dance.
Abby tells Brooke over and over, "you need emotion" and this is the most emotional piece she ever gave anyone on the show. But she never did anything to have Brooke connect to the powerful emotions. It's The Diary of Anne Frank, one of the most powerful books ever written, and it's true, and it's about the most powerful and emotional historic event, and none of that was even touched on with this dance or episode.
They do so much history and training on missing kids or texting and driving or anything when doing an emotional topic, those are big issues, but the Holocaust is definitely a bigger issue, and nothing. You can't just make a pretty dance and give it a name that makes it powerful. Give her this dance and call it something else, but don't use the name "Anne Frank" to get bonus points. It's wrong, disgusting, and exploitation of such a deeply meaningful topic.
This dance was handling wrong by Abby. It's a great dance that should have stood on it's own, not because they invoked the concept of the Holocaust.
