    Thanks so much for this inspiration! I followed along with a much smaller yarn, but it turned out gorgeous. It's so stretchy and would surely fit a bigger mug than what I have it on. Looking forward to more tutorials! : )

    I just made one yesterday while waiting at a bday party at a gym for toddlers, to kill time. It was very easy to follow. I only had acrylic yarn, but I just gave it a shot. Today, I used cotton yarn (better traction than acrylic against a porcelain mug), and it turned out perfect. Making these for teacher gifts for Christmas. Thank you for sharing your pattern here. ♥️

    I just made a blanket using this same pattern. However, if you only put a single crochet in the first last chain of each row... chain 2 and turn. Your edges will be straight.

    I'm going to try this. Is there any particular reason you used cotton or can it also be done with acrylic yarn?

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 года назад +3

      I had a LOT of cotton in my stash, like an insane amount, so wanted to use some up lol. You can certainly use acrylic yarn as well. :)

  • @Kenisha19724

    Did anyone find that the cotton yarn stretches? I used the exact yarn and measured the 8 inches and when I was done the 8 inch section was 9.5 inches long. It ended up being too long for the mug. Any tips? I’m thinking of only doing 6 in and then maybe it will stretch to 8

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 года назад

      Cotton can stretch a little depending on which cotton yarn you're using. It can also depend on your tension. You can always make less rows to see if that will help or go down a hook size. You can also try a bigger/wider mug than I show in my video. Good luck!

    Just so you know, in the written pattern for the button hole loop rows, it is unclear that you are meant to just repeat the 4 HDC and not the full Skip 1st st, sl st in next 2sts, 1hdc in next 4sts, ch1 and turn. Just a heads up, to save someone some time while reading your pattern
