A tour of this Bristol, Connecticut, amusement park If you'd like to read more about the park, a full trip report can be found here: www.karenandjay...
This honestly made me cry because I have been here many times and I have recently moved to England so I will probably never be able to go back. I have so many great memories here.
I live in connectocut and I love lake coumpounce it's a great amusement park, and there are probity better amusement parks in England. So don't feel bad!
+Hugh Martin Wow! That's quite a change. But there are some great parks in Australia. And Great Britain has some amazing parks as well, like Blackpool, Thorpe and Lightwater Valley.
Thanks! Interestingly, this was the second walk-thru I've made. My first was done over a decade ago for Tom Wages. It was an interactive CD-ROM of the park. You could not only walk through, but also ride the rides.
I went to this fantastic park for the first time last September. Labor Day. It was bittersweet as the water park closed that day. I never went back until this summer. I've fallen in love with the park. It's less than an hour from home. Even when it's busy(which it usually is) it's still a great time. I have one thing to say regarding LC "boulderdash". RIDE IT!! Nice video!! Be well. All the best.
I live around 20 minutes away from Lake Compounce but I've never been before. but I'm going in a few days!! It's cool that it is America's oldest amusement park; never knew that before
Lake Compounce the oldest amusement park in the country so glad it's still in operation. Very nice family fun park. Free soft drinks with admission is pretty nice, especially on a hot day.
I went here on a school trip last spring and definitely had a blast! I'm usually terrified of rides but my friends got me to loosen up and try a few and it was totally worth it!
Thanks for this video. I am going there this weekend with my fiancé and our boys for the first time and as a mom I like to know what I'm getting into . Much appreciated
I haven’t been to Lake Compounce in 10 years (2013). This video gives me a lot of nostalgia, especially since their Huss Enterprise and their Chance Wipeout are still there in this video (both of them are gone now). I would love to return to the park soon, to get the Phobia credit (of course), and to ride Boulder Dash again.
Thank you so much for sharing this helpful video! I'm going to watch your Canobie Lake walk-thru next and then make a decision-- but I'm already leaning toward Lake Compounce!
This makes me sad because me and my family have gone 3 times! We cannot go this year because of the Coronavirus ☹ thanks for sharing this video man it brings really good memories 😉 the ghost house was so fun. The water park was the best part
The back (south) end of the park has always been rather sparse, since there's very little down there. That may change with the latest waterpark expansion.
I just have a question, in your quest of filming these parks has there ever been conflict.... just watching this I would think you would run into what are called Karen's or rather people who want attention.....thanks
So far no one’s seemed to care that I’m wandering around making a video (if they’re even aware). There are so many people now taking photos and videos in parks, maybe it’s just accepted.

I feel the same way. Just moved to Australia.

Can you leave the park eat lunch at your car and return. I know a lot of parks allow that
Roger Lunn Yes. But the food prices there are reasonable (for a park), and you get free drinks with admission.
+Roger Lunn I like your Al Bundy icon, just watched the eight season on DVD today.

the free drinks are no more because people didn't drink enough water and those people kept passing out :(
editing is your friend. video should've been 6 mins shorter. -__-
I love how people walk by and just stare into the camera! So rude. As if they think they are being filmed.
It's half water park
And half amusement park
i went here
The park progressively gets a little less landscaped as the video goes on and at the end theres barely any landscaping XD wha?
The back (south) end of the park has always been rather sparse, since there's very little down there. That may change with the latest waterpark expansion.
LOVE THE HOT WOMAN WITH THE SMOKIN HOT GREEN TEAL BATHING MINI SKIRT !!!!!!!
