- I got a few more accessories for my Springfield Prodigy. In a previous video I installed a bunch of EGW parts on this gun with an atlas trigger. I just got the EGW stainless grip safety and mainspring housing to add to the theme of this gun.

Alien gear is in development with a duty style holster that milspec mojo is testing, Phlster has holsters that retain by light, Safariland has some staccato holsters that might fit, or you can get a customs molded holster from TR Holsters. If all else fails you could get a race holster with a drop down kit

First things first Bro, great channel. All of my upgrade ideas for my 4.25" prodigy mainly came from your channel so THANK YOU SIR! I would put my video/Chanel link in the comments but I think RUclips frowns upon that. You literally taught me how to do ALL of the installs on my first ever 1911 styled pistol. I have all of the same upgrades except for the brushed steal thumb safety and grip safety. I cant find them anywhere and I have been looking since you started this series. EGW and Atlas have been out of stock.

I use a Tenicor Malus Sol for my Prodigy.
*(By the way, holsters that are made for Streamlight TLR1-HLs can fit a PID with no problems.)*

Couldn't find a grip safety in stock for the prodigy until I looked at Stan Chen Customs. Very nice finished a little pricey at 90 delivered.
I was told on Reddit that the Safariland 6390 for the 4.6 inch staccato would fit the 4.25 inch prodigy with the Holosun PID light and after buying it I was pleasantly surprised that it works wonderfully and actually fits a couple other guns that I have a little bit loosely though.

Awesome videos man, super informative and to the point. I was on the fence about buying a prodigy. The staccato boys were pushing me hard to spend that extra grand. Picked up a lightly used prodigy for under a grand, parts are on the way. I will say out of the box staccato has the prodigy beat, but the money I saved even with the parts🤷🏼♂️ just don’t think the benefits out weigh the price difference.

Safari Land 7378RDS GLK19 GEN1-5 X300U SAFSEV BLK LH. Best holster I’ve had for my Prodigy. They take a minute because they are custom fit to your gun and the type of light you have

I did the same setup and it’s very nice , I can’t compare it to my staccato’s but it’s very reliable. I’m not a fan of Springfield. I’m new to 2011’s my next project is Apollo 11 , I already own Oracle Arms and Stealth Arms 2011, my opinion is Springfield better vs those two

Try MidwayUSA for the holster. Got one from them for my red dot and TAC light equipped M&P 2.0 4.625 inch 10mm.
Nice video. Question are you still using the PID weapon light? Also this is the 4.25 correct? Looking for additional weapons like for my 5 that’s not a sure fire.

So, overall, did the new grip safety affect the grip of the gun in any way? I don't see how it could but maybe I'm missing something.
It doesn't affect the grip of the gun. Other than the wider pad on the top that sits in the web of your thumb.
@@ballisticallychallenged Okay, that's what I thought. The profile is overall the same as the stock part. I will say that I don't like the notched pad of the stock part so the smoother pad of the EGW is an improvement in that aspect. Thanks!
The holosun PID will fit any holster for a TLR-1

Try Roger at QVO Tactical. I have a holster for my prodigy from him. I’m sure if he doesn’t have the option for the PID he will soon. Excellent video as usual brother God Bless America and the 2A

Keep checking. Personal experience, they usually restock within a few weeks. Not saying that happens every time, but that's what I've experienced. Good luck 🤞

Great video!! Been wanting to pick up a prodigy so I can trick it out. Also, as a huge staccato fan and owner of a c2 and a P, I think its funny how staccato fanboys shit on the prodigy as if staccato isn't already an entry level 2011.

To be fair though staccato fan boys aren't very good at math, so can we really expect anything else?
These guys are trying to compare a 1300, dollar pistol to a 4k gun, which is, well it's just stupid.
I have 3, 2 based on the WML: TRL-1. Tier 1 MSP actually fits perfect on it. I also have an OWB QVO tactical based on the WML, then another appendix rig by C&G...it's meh. The MSP is perfect, again.
