If the opponent back recovers, you can use your 19F dash to close the distance and leave you at +4F, but it won't put you right next to them. The remaining distance will vary a bit depending on the combo that led into the MK tatsu, but often you can crouch MP to fish for a counter hit on wakeup buttons or force your opponent to block it. If your forward dash isn't frame-perfect or you try to walk up more to get closer to them, your +4F advantage quickly goes away. If you use the MK tatsu on an opponent in juggle state (e.g. after HP hashogeki or denjin hashogeki), you will be as much as +27F if you do MK tatsu right away or as little as +23F if you do MK tatsu late after they fall down a bit.

I just started a new game and got 10 win streak and its made me diamond 19000LP straight away, even though i only beat one platinum player who had less than 15000 points and one gold player with less than 13000 points. Thats crazy
@@machoortv no no its not that im improved. Its stupid that as a new challenger i only faced a gold player and plat star 2 and it made me diamond rank. That makes no sense
paladin says in here you can use 6hk to whiff punish crouch mk on reaction but i don't think so. most crouch mks are 28-29 total frames, and this move is 16 frame startup. that means that you'd be reacting, optimistically, on the 12th frame of a 28 frame 2mk. definitely not within the realm of human reactions, so definitely a guess. still useful to throw out once in a while tho
Typing this without having watched the video because I'm at work: Does anyone have tips for forcing the enemy to make mistakes as Ryu when they won't try to jump in? With Ryu not being the most oppressive character, it seems really hard to win with him when they won't make mistakes of their own accord.

I’m not sure about CPT there should be tournaments here. Region lock matchmaking sucks but i keep connection open to all so I get players from different places
Ryu bring low tier is disrespectful tbh and right now I am pretty sure ryu is in his strongest state/form due to his peace or some and even dressing like his own damn master them always put ryu in the back 😭😭

Can someone fucking tell me what your supposed to do vs light punch mashers. You drive rush they light punch, you go for grab they light punch, you go for drive impact the light punch then drive impact themself
Vs. Drive rush+attack = block punish/throw escape/ create a whiff punish with back steps. Never throw out your D.I first unless you're 1000% it won't get countered otherwise save your block string mixups to bait them to use theirs. Or drive rush+throw them up close if you know they won't poke. If they are poke spamming you, create whiff punishes with footsies ie. Move in and out of poke range, backstep, D.I+jump, jump+counter, etc.

I feel Paladin 's combo choice and meter usage is very suboptimal ... Just my 2 cents. In this aspect Machoor is way better.
I feel like combo choice does not matter that much. What really matters is your neutral and punishes
