Good luck on your art journey, I am quite the opposite. I started drawing when I was very young. Now almost 2 decades I am considering leaving my identity as an artist. I already left being an animator, and now I might consider quitting being an artist. Drawing isn't fun for me anymore. And I feel like I am never good enough. Perhaps this is for the best. But you should draw. Maybe you are only at the beginning of what you are capable of, someday you will be a great artist. (If you are willing to be determined and not give up. ) Good luck art comrade. I believe in you. Wish you the best in your art journey.

For anyone who thinks that they are too late, the "29" in the title is just a variable. For them it was 29 for you it could be 33, 47, 59 or literally anything. Don't give up on what feels right.
Im in my thirties and also got that book to try and illustrate the stories in my own style last year. Unfortunately I kinda gave up after a short while... This is giving me that oomph back. I hope you stick with it ♡ I will try again too ^-^ Thank you for making this video!

I appreciate your comment a lot. Yes, I was very frustrated with my art too and thought I could never be 'good,' but I felt unhappy when I wasn't doing it. I finally realized that it was all in my head; I hadn't been trying my best. I wish you all the best on your journey too ❣

I decided to revisit art a few months after I graduated college last June. I still have plans to pursue a medical career but have taken a gap year for my mental health (I had some traumatic experience during college). It gets frustrating honestly, I feel hopeless because I feel like my art is never good enough. I studied a lot but every time I look at what I’m drawing, it always looks horrible and has no originality. I then look at other artists online and see their amazing art, and I just terrible that I can never be good enough at everything, even in academics. It’s quite the spiral down
Hi, thanks for sharing! You are not alone! I feel like my art is never good enough too. There are always people who are way better than us, and it only gets worse when we start comparing. But I'm also really tired of feeling sorry for myself. :( I believe you can get through anything, and I hope you will!
