I have even called her the Chinese Martha Stewart! I think Lizi/qi is even better! So don't think I down her, I'm not. You must lighten up and laugh more or something. You tube is a tough place and I was not tough at all.
For heat, my parents been using broken glasses to make oven when i was little broken glasses better because it can covers around the oven, more glasses more heat

The Bottles: From what I can gather, the bottles are there in the bottom to disperse heat evenly. It would seem so since the open end is down. Placed like they are it would seem likely that no matter where the burning wood was located, the heat would disperse evenly up to the oven via the bottles & surrounding material (sand? concrete? cement?) The bottles on the side seem to be there to do the same thing (absorb heat and keep the oven warm longer) AND to lessen the thickness of the clay around the outside. The thicker the walls are the more they would crack & craze due to the expansion and contraction of the material when it heats and cools which is common for cob/clay ovens. I'm just guessing here but it seems this way to me.

I think the original inventor used the bottles to retain heat, so that one would need less wood for baking. But I need a physicist to explain or the inventor to explain scientifically how it works. You see, it too far down to bring up heat from the chamnber for baking, the dome is too small to retain enough heat for one chicken, remember? Liziqi removed all burning wood/charcoal before putting in the food. I think if you omit the two layers of bottles, this oven can't bake.

The top part is not important, the two layers of empltied glass beer bottles are important, some how it would retain enough heat for baking.

我之前是在李子柒的视频中，第一次见识到窯烤炉，之前还真不知中国农村有这玩意儿，还能烤出面包(^▽^)觉得挺新鲜的，非常佩服中国先辈们的善巧智慧，上述视频中做的窯烤，确实比子柒的还要专业，但也不失传统，超赞的！

如果不用水泥直接鋪磚塊可以嗎？
烤爐外表在糊上一層水泥~是防貓去抓(因烤肉等很香)或颱風來會雨打，至於呼吸~上2耳朶就是烟囱，地基用水泥和磚是整平地沒錯，磚燒不會爆裂。
