His offense looks way better now too. I was worried about him for a while. Didn’t seem to flow with the offense at time but he always hit his shots. 65% from corner 3 for most of the season is insane!! It was highest in nba history I think. Top 5 for sure. When he missed a corner 3 you would get surprised like “wow.. must be hurt or something” 🤣

    Good win .3 quick takeaways:
    1. d.white had a usage rate of less than 10%. That is terrible. 2 things are possibly happening here: hes being told not to shoot/go facilitate or he has a minor injury. Joe has to do a better job if re-incorporating d.white back in the offense now that JT and Jrue are unlocked.
    2. The starters are playing too many mins. Especially Al..Als shot is flat because hes tired. joe has to trust playing X or play luke more mins. We cant have Al play on this clip.
    3. JT player of the game. Didnt overextend himself on offense, played good defense and the rebounding was needed. Still a couple of bad shots but i'm not going to take it against him. That pass to JB for 3 was a great sign of maturity and trusting his team jn the clutch.
Lets close this out in 5. Lets go Cs! Go win this thing.

d white has been awful and in order for the jays to be successful they need the ball. people say “oh we suck with tatum on the bench” well when jb is out there and jt is on the bench you need to give brown the ball not d white. thats been hurting us. in terms of the starters im sorry to say they need to play these minutes. we need to win these playoff games and respectfully are bench isnt consistent enough to play big minutes. sam has been awful shooting the ball. pp has been inconsistent shooting the ball and kornet respectively is just not good. al is brutal rn but we need him bc kornet cannot rebound nor defend and win a game in these playoffs playing big minutes. i would love to see x but thats the stubbornness of joe mazzulla

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 28 дней назад +1

@@mikaylarivera1337 we dont need white to be awful for the Js to be successful. We just need people to stop criticizing the Js when they have lower scoring numbers and when d.white scores 25-30. IMO this is the better formula. Look at all the games that d.white has starred: blowouts.
18-11-5 with 3 blocks from JT is an excellent game. Its just not a high scoring game.
And nope. Any given time, i'd trust the ball in white's hands over any other celtic. He will make the right play. Whether its to pass it to JB or score himself. Plus we avoid stupid, slowdown ball.
We need to win these playoff games yes but we have won playoff games with the bench getting decent mins. Look at the miami series or game 1.
Sam hasnt been awful. Hes not getting enough shots. Sams last 5 games from 3:
      67% (game 3)
      0% (game 2)
      0% (game 1)
      63% (game 5)
      0% (game 4)
all those 0%? 4 misses. Hes not getting enough shots to warm up. Hes shooting 7/11 on those 2 games he made 3s. Overall hes shooting 7/15. Do the math. ;)
I think you just have unrealistic expectations for luke. Like todays game, 9 points, 6 boards and good defense is solid for a low usage/19 min night.

I love the Celtics. I've watched nearly every game this year and I really hope they win it all. But their offense is *so* stagnant right now, too many isolation plays, not enough movement off the ball. They're stacked enough and talented enough to win against most teams with this gameplan, but against elite teams like Denver or Minnesota its going to be a slog. If they ever get into a rhythm moving the ball, they would be unstoppable. The offense does flow much better when Porzingis is in the game, and Jrue Holiday is stepping up big time the past couple games, best hes been all year! Hopefully we get KP back for the ECF so we can get momentum going into the Finals.

the Cavs were desperate, got hot, played for each other, and stayed close pretty much all game. it's great that Boston's lockdown D worked so well when you factor in how much the Cavs needed the win and how much they pressured the Cs. this game was won by stopping runs, and making enough good/great shots down the stretch to keep the game under the Cs control.
    the toughest W yet!!
all the other series are tied at 2-2:
    - the West looks like both series could go all 7 games. but... the champs' offense has finally awoken, so 4 straight wins seems well within Denver's capabilities, while the Wolves seem equally capable of making a come back
    - this side of the bracket, the Knicks are hobbled and still fighting (Tibbs, man, he builds tough teams), while the Pacers finally started running like they did before the All-Star break
    - only the Celtics have found an edge after 4 games; let's bring that home and seal the deal in Boston!

He’s not over playing defense even when he end up with Mobley👏🏽👏🏽 and big All doing his job also professional and they feeding of each other emotions like they playing like one unit yeah we might not be passing the ball in this game but what I find out is you gotta give the coaching staff credit because they are making !!!! endgame adjustments and that’s what is all about. They see something you attack it. They see something you move it. You see something you go for the board cause they’re not boxing out. They doing it the right way just like hearing that roar oh we can play the way we play a team and that’s what makes them wanna be around each other and they clicking on the road which is great. This "new" scoring-centric narrative for JT is sad to see from Scal, who usually focused on playmaking and defense as much as scoring. JT needs to be consistent in scoring and earn it, BUT dominance is had ACROSS the stat sheet, especially with defense. When he forces it, it's usually a bad outcome. Team mentality and defense is what got the Cs here. Do the Js need to get into another gear? Sure. But don't throw away the playbook that's been so successful.

Again when you're in the penalty in the game against a team that can't defend well you must continue to go downhill

Horford is shooting the threes horribly and has been getting exposed defensively in this series. Joe needs to cut his minutes and either put Hauser for more scoring punch or Kornet/Tillman !!!

Hopefully they get it together before they have to play whatever team comes out of the west, because playing like this is not going to get it done. Especially if it ends up being Denver.

I don’t know if it’s psychological, but there’s no chance this Celtics can win the championship playing like this. This is one game the cavs will have won it I would not have been shocked.

I love how when this team gets more talent they decide to play a worse brand of basketball and pretend like they’re all about winning. Jt legitimately sounded bored in his post game interview while he was talking abt how experienced he is in the playoffs. oh really? is that why you take worse shots, complain to the refs, and dont pass the ball. We won this game and it feels like a loss. horrible brandead offense and sloppy mediocre defense when we have the personnel to be amazing at both. I hate joe mazzulla this guy needs to be investigated for robbery the amount of money he makes for the nonexistence of half court sets or ANY defensive philosophy.

Celtics got 14 turnovers. Also, 25 shots should get you at least a 40. Look at Edwards' last game. Can't really be that inconsistent.

Celtics are soft team if they actually meet a team with any balls they will lose. Basketball today is a joke . No defense ! All it’s about is three point shot. The 80s teams would destroy the teams nowadays

It’s not the media . The Celtics choke every year. That’s facts . They’ve had a good team every year . But what happens ? They nearly lose every year to a underseed . I used to like Tatum until he called himself the greatest player on earth. That’s when I said oh hell .. not another lebron. Just stay humble and play defense . Let your gameplay speak for itself. Robert Horry has how many rings ? Is he even in the top 100 greatest players of all time ? No . But he’s clutch . Came to a Houston as a rookie and won back to back championships. Tatum is far better than Horry but he was blessed by joining an already good team . I like Boston . I just hate all the hype they get ever year to choke in the playoffs . I don’t blame Tatum totally but if he played some defense and better shot selection he might have had a ring by now .

U sound like an idiot we have a 3-1 lead and are abt to advance to the ECFs again for like the 5th time in the Tatum brown era, and this is the best version yet, but okay let’s not have hope even tho the path is easy😭u clearly are either an absolute fool or don’t watch too much basketball, probably a combo of both

E House pleaseeee stop. That is 1 game he showed up. You make it sound like he score 50 and won the the ship. 1 game buddy settle down. Tatum have to win the ship or bust. After he said you can't expect them to win and score all the time I've lost respect. I never heard Paul Pierce make excuses.

Pretty pathetic win. This team is giving me less and less confidence as the playoffs progress.
