This was 9th grade for me. This was their first LP after Saturday Night Fever, where they had 4 Number 1 hits. This one got them 3 Number 1 hits.
I miss these guys so much.
I wish my grown kids would sit down and appreciate this good music with me.
You are the reason for my laughter and my sorrow. Blow out the candle I will burn again tomorrow.
No man on earth can stand between my love and I, and No matter how you hurt me I WILL LOVE YOU TIL I DIE❤
This is my favourite song by them. That bridge is somwthing else.
Thank you Ladies for The Bee Gees reaction. You’ll notice that in some of their songs the lyrics are sad but somehow they manage to make you want to dance. For example Stayin’ Alive, Tragedy, Jive Talkin’, Love so Right, Nights on Broadway, this song, the list is endless. Love, love, love The Bee Gees and I listen to them daily and I’m always looking for Bee Gees reactions because I love to watch other people enjoy them too. Love you Ladies, Happy Valentines Day. ❤
LOL!! DITTO!Well said!
@@AlamoDame7 YEP. Very well said. Me too
Yep....so well said & me three!😂
You should listen to there work on there ON THE Great album, CHILDREN OF THE WORLD! IT IS SPECTACULAR!! To say the least!
Great reaction! Enjoyed this! Just came across a Bee Gees song that I’d never heard before; “Will you still love me tomorrow”… please consider reacting to it. Thank you.
Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees. They had so many Songs. And every Song is a surprice. Love it so much. 🕺🥰👍
I was 11!! 1979 i was jamming!
My alarm every morning is How Deep is Your Love, so I hear the BeeGees every day too. But this song has one of my favorite lyrics “You are the reason for my laughter and my sorrow. Blow out the candle I will burn again tomorrow. “. Thanks!
Qué guapas!!!!
SPIRITS HAVING FLOWN became the most intricate and ambitious production of the group's entire history. This was also the first Bee Gees album to get serious airplay on black radio stations, a major breakthrough for the trio and one of the last bits of unfinished business in the group's move into soul music, which also likely helped -- along with three chart-topping singles and the major tour that followed propelled Spirits Having Flown to 35 million in sales. The album reached #! in January of 1979 and remained there for 24 consecutive weeks. LOVE YOU INSIDE AND OUT went to #1 and knocked Donna Summers HOT STUFF off the top spot.
@UncaBuzz -- I knew that they were one of the few non-black groups to have enjoyed radio play on black radio, but the connection to SHF album was news to me-- LOVE learning new things about my darling trio-- your "eureka" gift makes me love SHF even more. NO Wonder lots of YT reaction channels hosted by black personalities refer to having been exposed to Bee Gees music all their lives by their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., and that music was largely due to😄 BG's late 70's work.
That honor goes to the incredible Album, children of the World! FABULOUS!!
This song came at the end of a phenomenal run of hits for the Bee Gees. It went to #1 in America on June 9, 1979 as disco was facing a backlash. Bee Gees songs had inundated the airwaves over the previous year; not just their own, but songs they wrote for others, like "Shadow Dancing" for their brother, Andy Gibb. "Love You Inside Out" was the nexus where sentiment turned against them. Their next songs struggled to get airplay and ranked low on the charts. After the reckoning, they reinvented themselves by writing songs for other artists that were still welcome on radio.
Another great song in a long list of masterpieces by the Bee Gees.
👍❤️😊
You should check out there 1993 uk interview and music session in London for one night recorded by Independent television studios (Itv) they sing but also talk about their early lives and the start of their career
A song about love, longing & devotion; and all wrapped up in a funky groove with an awesome bridge.
Still one of my favorite songs of all-time.
GREAT REACTION!
How could anyone hurt Barry…😔💕
Still my favourite Bee Gees song because it combines the funk of their disco era with their superlative songwriting. Lyrically the middle eight is some of their best written work - listen from 'don't try to tell me it's all over' and revel in the lyrical beauty in one of the brothers saddest but funkiest song. Genius!
I really love this song and have seen many RUclips videos on it. Out of all of the comments that I have read urinalysis is the best. I definitely remembered from the Disco era as it has that beat. Thank you
Thanks ladies for another wonderful Bee Gees reaction and on Valentine's Day, too! I've been with these amazing guys since 1967 and I, too, Mama Gap, listen to them each and every day, especially my precious Robin. Can't let a day go by without listening to all my favorites which is quite a long list!
Love this, although it is somewhat sad, you still feel that wonderful beat. The Bee Gees have such a great way of getting beautiful everything to you!! Blow out the candles, I will burn again tomorrow, beautiful! Love ya ladies!!
The production was second to none on "Spirits." Every note, breath, downbeat and cutoff are intentional and perfect. The imagery in this song is spectacular. "Blow Out the Candle I will Burn Again Tomorrow." Oooh I love that genius line. And Barry doesn't have to tell me twice. He's no vision he's the Man! This is a perfect example of incorporating falsetto with unbelievable harmony. (I pretty much listen to them everyday too - starting with "Nights on Broadway" on my alarm clock) Builds from there.
That bass !!!!!
It was really nice when music made you want to move. The Bee Gees were the bomb at that, as were KC & The Sunshine Band....
"Blowout the candle I will burn again tomorrow "
That song is one of my favorites ever!!!
1977.… I’m 20 years old. O.C. Calif, out in the clubs 3-4 times per week. I was asked to dance by more Ladies to the Bee Gees Music than any other group. Easily over 1,000 times. One of the All Time Greatest Groups.
I haven't heard this one in ages! Great reaction!
You nailed it, FUNKY!!! What an incredible song. Excellent reaction ladies!!!
They pretty good huh
They will always be a one of a kind band with their own, one of a kind sound. Barry Gibbs popped up on my tube feed few days ago, short outside interview at some Shindig, That former resident of the Isle of Man is looking pretty good for 77yrs.
He's 76, almost exactly one year older than me.
One of my top 5 BeeGees tunes. Thx!!
Happy Valentine's Day to you beautiful ladies. I hope your day is filled with love, flowers, and chocolate!
🥰💐🍫🥂
Ladies check out Spirits Having Flown from the same aibum
A play list of first listens would be great. 😊
funny to watch mom thinking about memories, while your just making new ones
Bee Gees forever!!
Yall need to do some more
Momma Gap, great choice. Previously, in the comments section, I requested "Love You Inside Out". I'm so glad Baby Gap got to listen to it. I knew she would enjoy it. I grew up in the 1970''s and the Bee Gees are my all time favorite group. Their music gave me so much joy and pleasure as a kid and still does today. "Love You Inside Out" was the Bee Gees ninth and final #1 song on the pop charts. It came from their Spirits Having Flown album which was their follow-up to the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack. While I love the music in every part of their legendary careers, the Disco era Bee Gees is my favorite. The next Bee Gees song that I'd like for you to react to is "Love So Right". That is also from the Bee Gees disco era. It's a beautiful, but sad, disco ballad which I'm sure you will enjoy. It's one of their best.
a favorite of mine from The Bee Gees .
As Baby Gap said ... What a good beat !!
Love that line: too many lovers aint good for you. Then, too many heartbreaks in one lifetime aint good for me. And, wrap myself up and take me home again. Sooo sad. But, still upbeat. Love that contradiction. Well done ladies. Love your reactions.
This song concluded theair run of 6 number 1 singles in a row. The songs were How Deep is Your Love, Stayi' Alive, Night Fever, Too Much Heaven, Tragedy and this one.
You never react to RUN TO ME, it´s one of my faves, the melody, harmonies&lyric just abolutely amazing
The Daughter is Gorgeous.
Hi! I'm a Brazilian great fan from Bee Gees. I realy love them. You need to react "Man in the middle" whith Maurice singing and "Charade" that's wonderful!!!! Thanks
You ladies are my are to watch. You love them as much as I do. These lyrics are perfect.
I listen to the Bee Gees every day, too. They put me in such a great mood just listening to them. Great song and reaction.
Happy Valentine's Day to two lovely Ladies! Love the Bee Gees.
The Bee Gees had been my favorite musical act since I was 13 yrs old in 1978. Although now, in the past 3 years, I love BTS. I couldn't tell you my favorite Bee Gees song because I love too many of them but probably in my top 5 would be Love So Right, Spirits Having Flown, Run To Me, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and Fanny Be Tender With My Love, although there's probably another 30-40 songs I like almost as much as these.
UK number 1 1979
Your both gorgeous
In addition to the great beat, the lyrics are stellar! Since Barry is singing lead. that meant he brought the idea to the group. He has said that he wore his heart on his sleeve, and this song says it all.
This song is impeccably crafted and it brings lots of bittersweet memories. Dennis Bryon, the drummer, especially shines here (pay attention to the hi-hat part in the middle section of the song, it is incredible), but it is oh so good as a whole. It's perfection.
Thank you for bringing that one up ))
Wind of Change is 🔥
Great song, the studio version is amazing!
Lol. It’s actually called Love you inside AND out😉
Official title is "Love You Inside Out." I always wondered why they left the word "and" out of the title when they sing it in the song. It doesn't mean quite the same thing either.
I saw The Bee Gees Live twice over 30 years and both times the Ladies throw their underwear on stage during each song. They are incredible. Barry has written more Number One songs than anyone.
Once again ladies, an excellent choice of song and group, brilliant video as always, love your enthusiasm, blue island is a great track to possibly try. Thanks again for sharing with us.
🔥❤️. They are my favorite band too. Since 1967! They sent a spicy version to a friend, with my d#(-# hanging out. 😉🤣. I listen everyday too. If everyone listened to them for 10 minutes a day, the world would be a better place.
They were joking with their studio buddies, but never actually sent the raunchy version to Robert Stigwood, their manager. I'm betting Robin came up with that comment.🤣 The brothers were reported (again, by the band-mate source) to have wanted to check whether Stigwood actually listened/read their lyrics!!
Was new track to me until recently...now one of my faves I love the pacing and huge unexpected switch up that nobody is ever expecting so far into the song 😍
Barry on lead vocals
Oh my, that song brings back some lovely memories, nice reaction!
Try also the song composed by Bee Gees for Teri De Sario " Ain't Nothing Gonna Keep It From Me". This is a disco tune. You will love it.
🤛👍👏
My favourite band too Mama Gap❤ l played the heck out of this album (Spirits Having Flown) back in high school!
I don't think they ever did this one live. Wish they had 'cause I love it.
Wow, igualitas.
You Guys should check out Massachusetts Bee Gees-Massachusetts Live ( One For All) , Closer Than Close Live ( MauriceTakes Lead).
They already reacted to these )
@@neckapb Ohhh…. Never seen them. Thanks.
Can't wait for my Tears for fears song called No small thing request
The last #1 US Billboard Charts Smasher in the US so great from the 25 million sold Spirits Having Flown album, their best selling album ever with other number one hits like Tragedy and Too Much Heaven - Barrys Falsetto at the peak, what stands out in this tune are the amazing lyrics and its stunning funky 🔥
Think you haven't react to 'Had A Lot Of Love Last Night' already, out of their beautiful album 'Mr. Natural' and you also missed 'Be Who You Are' and 'And The Sun Will Shine'.
And "Walking Back to Waterloo" ))
Yes!!! Not a big disco fan, but this is my fave! But, I AM a Bee Gees guru with one more request for the BEST Reactioners ever! The song is Immortality (live version with Celine Dion!! You will love it, I promise, and Barry Gibb calls it th best song he ever wrote! Happy Valentines Day, ladies!!
I so enjoy your channel🙌 Happy Valentines Day to Mama Gap and Baby Gap💖
This tune was the last #1 of 6 in a row for the Bee Gees from mid 1977 to 1979.
I remember this song! Great beat. From the same general time period as their disco era, I’m sure. I was eating dinner as I watched this video. I had yanked pork.
i think you would enjoy paloma faith and ty taylors version of "i would rather go blind, "
Whoa to new intro, Johnny likes!..lol...had to pull out my disco shoes on this one!. Nothing wrong with that!..✌️👍❤️
Yes finally some intro music ☺️
@@generationgapreacts 😁👏👏👏👍
Can you react to the Sister Sledge - He's the greatest dancer?
Time for some Home Free
You should check out I Am Woman by Helen Reddy. I'm sure you, Mom, have heard that one before, and I think your daughter will appreciate it. It's from the 70's, but still very much empowering today.
This one almost slipped by me. I missed it the day you released the reaction, but just saw it after watching your Meatloaf and ABBA reactions tonight. Add the Bee Gees after those two reactions and you have the Perfect Trifecta of amazing music! Well, done, ladies!
Please listen to For Whom the Bell Tolls, it's great.
first off..the daughter (not sure what your name is) is beautiful! I'm 45 so i'm not a creep :) Second...what is your ranking for the Bee Gees songs?
React to some of the Eagles please
Mama Gap, you CAN listen to the Bee Gees every day; You are your own Bee Gees listening control board. Baby Gap, you do have a Bee Gees list; you showed it to us a long time ago. My song request ruclips.net/video/q34lkvWshSY/видео.html is on that list. This isn't my favourite Bee Gees style but you did a great reaction. Keep playing the good ones. FG
Be great if you could react to Slade again, you enjoyed their Christmas hit…possibly their Cum on feel the Noize or Far Far Away
Not my favorite genre but man ... so loooooong ago
New subscriber here. Enjoy so much your reactions on the various artists you have reacted to so far! Very cool to see that each one's take on songs doesn't diverge t far which makes the adage "Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree" works out well between the two of you. If you find that you're ready for another Bee Gees in the days to come, I have a suggestion and it's House Of Shame, good beat (I for one who, most times, doesn't really pay that attention to the lyris when the beat makes you get up on your feet and dance lol) and here's the link ruclips.net/video/U-VUzkAdK80/видео.html I thank you kindly (
Please, you have no demotion of timing..
you don't get to see Maurice sing lead often! ruclips.net/video/JTL0WC4oyis/видео.html
Check out" Love So Right", "You Stepped Into My Life","Reaching Out",and "A Heart Like Mine,"which is led by Robin the great.
