This song reminds me of 3 things which might have been inspired from / have similarity with: 1. Jonna Jinton signs a similar lulliby called Wargsangen which is from what I read a Swedish song that feels similar to this one's verses (theme-wise). 2. Dead by Daylight, a "horror" game has a Slavic-inspired song for a killer called "Huntress". She hums a song similar to this one while hunting her targets, this singing is used as a fear inducing mechanism, cause, don't get me wrong, game is not spooky, but at times you can't figure out where she's coming from :D 3. Arknights, an anime gacha game uses a theme similar to this song's for a character called Faust. the song is called "Lulliby" and is sung in Russian in the English (Western) version, while it has a Japanese version and (I think) a Chinese version as well.
Іn general, earlier, when the Slavs lived on the land of present-day Russia, they lived not far from the forests and, of course, in those days, people could not explain much of anything and came up with all sorts of myths and horror stories, for example: mermaids, goblin, night owls, etc. And lullabies were performed for children as amulets, which, as was they believed, protected them from evil spirits or warned them, as in the song about the wolf, not to go into the forest at night, or simply close the doors at night
Creepy and huntingly gorgeous. I imagined myself being part of a scary tale by Gogol or something like that lol. There are bizarre lullabies in many places. I also love Reading the descriptions, you are super funny.
I love this lullaby, my mom used to sing to me every night and I never got tired of that song. There is a story behind that lullaby my grandma told me, and it's very deep, that whoever enters the forest on full-moon have to be the very careful cause that day wolf are extra hungry, I don't know if it's true. I tried once to go to the forest in a full moon I only saw wolfs eyes are glowing like pure red-blood, they didn't do anything, as I from Russia, we lived close to the forest, the legend says, if you see, wolfs eye glowing red in full-moon, it means you have the supernatural ability. The Legend says that Werewolfs are existing they evolved with humans. They mainly referring to sex appeals
the translation is amazing and you sing beautifully. Very nice. I can tell you about the symbolism of this lullaby. In the culture of the Eastern Slavs, nature and man are a whole organism, and the other world was as important for the Slavs as the real world. The Slavs attached great importance to all kinds of borders. This is the threshold of a house, a bathhouse, a barn, a gate, a river bed, a forest border. Each of these spaces had its rulers. Bannik, kikimora, goblin, water, etc. A person felt like a master only in a hut. And then he shared power with the brownie. For a small child, the world was mostly limited to the cradle and arms of the mother. Therefore, the edge of the cradle in the song symbolizes the boundary between danger and security. Well, the wolf is considered evil by the Slavs. And the phrase that will drag you into the forest sounds like a nightmare, because the forest is a source of danger. Therefore, entering the forest, the Slavs performed whole rituals to appease the forest spirit. Besides, these are not the most terrible lullabies. There are lullabies where mothers wished death to their child, thus they deceived Death. After all, Death always comes when you do not expect it.

i grew up with my mum singing me this song and its so calming. i love this English version your voice is so nice.
The lyrics makes me feel unsafe cause when I hear this being hummed. I get hit with an axe 😂. But all jokes aside great cover
ahahahah same
Huntresss do be scary
so beautiful! well done! idk why this version didnt pop up the countless times i've looked up the song!!
Please make a full Russian version of this, your voice is so beautiful 😭❤️
This song reminds me of 3 things which might have been inspired from / have similarity with:
1. Jonna Jinton signs a similar lulliby called Wargsangen which is from what I read a Swedish song that feels similar to this one's verses (theme-wise).
2. Dead by Daylight, a "horror" game has a Slavic-inspired song for a killer called "Huntress". She hums a song similar to this one while hunting her targets, this singing is used as a fear inducing mechanism, cause, don't get me wrong, game is not spooky, but at times you can't figure out where she's coming from :D
3. Arknights, an anime gacha game uses a theme similar to this song's for a character called Faust. the song is called "Lulliby" and is sung in Russian in the English (Western) version, while it has a Japanese version and (I think) a Chinese version as well.
There is a certain air of elegance that just perfectly does this song justice. I love it immensely.
Привет из России! Классно поёте! ❤️
A beautiful song. Your voice is so haunting. I find myself in deep peace listening to you
Вот это неожиданно. Интересно однако :D
If The Huntress actually also sung the lyrics
Me:I'm F*cked
Іn general, earlier, when the Slavs lived on the land of present-day Russia, they lived not far from the forests and, of course, in those days, people could not explain much of anything and came up with all sorts of myths and horror stories, for example: mermaids, goblin, night owls, etc. And lullabies were performed for children as amulets, which, as was they believed, protected them from evil spirits or warned them, as in the song about the wolf, not to go into the forest at night, or simply close the doors at night
But now this song is sing just to put the children to bed and that’s it. My mother singed it to me throughout my childhood.
Божечки, какой милый акцент:33
Well, I certainly won't be anywhere near the edge of my bed tonight 😅 Ominously beautiful
That's really creepy
She has a beautiful voice.
Haha, I love all her songs! I don't even hear the words. I get lost in her voice, it's takes me to the happy place.
My mother used to say when I was a kid that wolves would eat me if I didn't sleep. Really great song
Nice mom 😂
My cousin and I grew up listening to this, I’m 29 and I still listen to it a few times a day honestly. 🇳🇴
Здорово исполняет, душевно.никак не могу наслушаться, 👍👍👍
the translation is amazing and you sing beautifully.
My family isnt Russian but my parents love other cultures and my mother used to sing this
Your voice is so soft yet chilling to the bone I love it so much! Great job on this!
I am really into mermaids and found Ashley Serena via 'My jolly sailor bold'. Now I see that she covered this lullaby as well.
RUclips, why didn't you show me that earlier? Get haunted by wolves and mermaids!
As terrifying as this song is when you think about the lyrics i actually enjoy it lol. However, all i can think of when i hear this song is some crazy, murderous hatchet throwing lady since playing dbd. Well done.
Мамочки~ У тебя очень хорошее произношение❤❤Приезжай в Россию))
How are you not the most famous singer?! You are amazing! I lived in Russia and sang this song every night to our daughter.
And my ex said the wolf was me (U.S.Marine, coming to steal you from Mother Russia)
I love this! Just yesterday I've listened to some of yours songs after a really long time... what a coincidence :D
Thank you Kraven for making me remember that this masterpiece exists
Your voice is beautiful. I wish I'd heard the Cossack's lullaby too
This is so hauntingly beautiful, dear! I've missed your voice, beautiful as always! Hope you're doing well and have a great day! 💕
Спасибо большое за эту колыбельную, мне бабушка в детстве всегда её пела перед сном❤️❤️❤️
Thumbs up. Amazing job Ashley!!! Such a melodic voice. In both both launguages, you get this smoothing and calm feeling. Please make another video where you sing it only in Russian.
I agree; the first time you hear the lyrics of this lullaby it may sound like scary and creepy. But didn't we all grow up being scared by our parents to behave? This song/lullaby it bears no difference. I don't get the fuss some people get over this type of lullaby.
This be the song I hear as I chase survivors and throw hatchets at them with iridescent heads.
Like if ya'll know what I am talking about. 😏
Not even a minute in and I already love it
Who found this because of dead by daylight
Pretty much everyone outside of Russia, I'd wager. Plus a few Bloodborne players.
But actually tho
Sad to say
Me Lmao
same
When you’re doing a gen and hear this gives you a different feeling than listening to it out of game. It’s so peaceful out of DBD.
this lullaby make me feel unsafe around windows and pallets...
Thank you so much for making this video before it was so hard to put my little one to sleep but placing this song on loop for her knocks her out easily thank you for this wonderful video
Your voice inspires me to write a Lullaby for the story I'm tryna write. Keep up the good work, you're a great singer 💜💜
havent seen anyone make a reference about this other game yet so i will
pov: you’re trying to anchor the anomalous field and you hear grave mother behind you
POV You're getting hit by iridescent head cross-map.
You have a really beautiful voice. Its really clear and nice to listen to. Your voice mirror the Fear in this lullaby. Nice job
Thank you for sharing
Wow, just now I realise what my russian mom actually sang to me when I was a child 😶
I love this and I can't stop listening so it is nice to have to have one translation as there are many versions. Russian is a beautiful language and I love how you sing some Russian in the begining. Bayu Bayushki is a favorite lullaby of mine as a like yours and you have such a beautiful voice.
Me encanta. Excelente voz por cierto.
The Moment when you hear this and needs to cry cuz ITs so Well Made
Прикольно звучит. Одобряю))
I love how you changed it to English, very good
God I love Russians.. You really should look into the death lullaby.
My mom used to sing me this till I fall asleep. Ohh good old days man
Это великолепно.
Wow! This lullaby sounds a little spooky, in the original I think it doesn't sound so scary.:) I can say that because Russian is my native language and I know that there are many variations of this song in Russian. But the song "lyuli-lyuli" I like more than the lullaby about the wolf.
Anyway, I like your version. As always, great!
what if the huntress instead of humming, she will literally sing and sound like Ashley. Imagine the double fear you may feel and music in your ears at the same time. haha
Well huntress can't speak, She never learned how to
@@LordFurret yeah i know but i am just saying "what if"
@@TheNightower Jesus I wasn't actually expecting you to respond to a reply on a one year comment
