So, a second reserve is my answer to the potential higher risk of an EN-D glider and so far i do not have any problems with it - except the aditional weight i have to carry around! Well, the frontcontainer is fixed at the hooks and not at the my harness. So possibly this will not be a perfect solution but better than none. First i would throw my reserve which is fixed in the harness and only as a second chance i would use the front-reserve. Until today i only have thrown reserve once in my life for real. I was trying to make stalls with my EDEL Sector many many years before and i din't get that glider to normal flight again... Happy landings and kind regards Melchior
Hi Gabor Difficult question to answer you know. I have looked to your vid - flying the X-Alps. Well in those conditions may be any wing looks to be rock solid.... Did you also fly it in demanding conditions? My opinion is that the XCRacer is a vivid wing but reliable. Rock-solid may be the wrong description for an XCRacer. But i never had a collaps on the nose yet - so i think it is very stable in the middle of the wing and that's what is most important for me! For example i flew a Boom 10 for 2 seasons as a second wing and that one collapsed 4 times fully over the middle. I did not really like that, although the Boom allways reopened quickly. So the XCRacer for me is the wing i want to fly for next season. I love the sensibility of XCRacer in thermals, its agility and - as i do think - the low stearing effort. I also love to fly with a 2-liner and i love the glide-ratio of a 2-liner. Nevertheless the XCRacer is an EN-D wing and demands for high level of pilots experience. I do believe it won't be much diffrence concerning this with other EN-D gliders!...... Kind regards to you and all the best in 2019 Melchior
I flew in mixed conditions. The glider has lots or movement but does a kind of auto centering in thermals if loaded 3/4 of weight range. I had only small side collapses. The wing design concept was to keep the pilot not too busy on xalps race to be able to concentrate on task. Thanx to 3 line concept. It was a limited series of skywalk wing in 2015. Its profile used on latest poison xalps, not as easy take of behaviour.I think lighter cloth helped a bit.

Hallo Bruno - danke für die nächste Frage :-) Also ich habe eigentlich kein Instrument, das wirklich alles kann, was ich möchte. Da ich sowieso eine Redundanz will, falls mal eines ausfällt, brauche ich eh zwei - mit dem handy sind es dann 3. Ich fliege mit dem SYS EVO, das mir sehr gut gefällt. Sehr schöner und hilfreicher Zentriermodus und alles gut ablesbar. Für Luftraum nicht mein Ding. Dann fliege ich mit dem SKYTRAX 3.0 - auch sehr schön und das dürfte die von Dir gewünschten Sachen haben, aber was den Luftraum angeht schwöre ich immer noch auf das Android mit XCsoar, wo ich die aktuelle Tagesdateien des airspace@xcontest reinlade.

Boom x was exeptional. 2 liner boomerangs10 or 11 are for top pilots.
