I know it's early since the game has just come out, but I would love to see an increase in level cap to 14 where a lot of classes feel well rounded and multiclasses feel less like dips. Maybe a DLC would be added. Races I'd love to see in this maybe DLC is Firbolg, Goliath and Kenku or owlin. And the aublacsses I would love to see off the top of my head is definitely fey wanderer Ranger, definitely Wildfire Druid and maybe creation Bard. I would also love to see more summons such as an owl familiar or hawk ranger companion. What do you guys think?
1. One thing to remember about Circle of Spores, you can and will find equipment that will add additional damage to melee hits. So, with Shillelagh, you’ll hit hard, do necrotic damage with SE, do whatever additional Magic damage your weapon does, AND you can equip gloves and do even MORE damage. The damage stacks nicely, as long as you don’t miss. This is the most durable Druid, and you still have Wildshape or multiple uses of SE. 2. Remember, your shapes get extra attack at level 5 for ALL classes. 3. Circle of Land has access to the Haste spell. Use it on yourself; or use it on a martial in your group and watch them hit 6 times in a row, maybe even eight with action surge. Circle of Land is the best Multiclass option. Ranger and Monk work well. War Cleric is one of the best. Again, consider that most of the spells that you get from Circle of the Land are spells that the Druid gets anyway. So, it’s worth doing 7-9 levels of Land Druid and 3-5 levels of something else. 4. Like I said yesterday, consider taking more feats that augment your spell selection for Circle of the Moon, like Magic Initiate: Cleric or Magic Initiate: Wizard (crown of intellect).
Yep!! I'm playing a Spore Druid right now on my 2nd play through. 1Fighter/5Druid at the moment.Caustic Band (Ring +2 Acid on weapon hit), Gloves of Archery (+2 damage on ranged weapons) Dual Rapiers+1= (1d8 +1 +3Dex +1d6 Necrotic +2 Acid= 8-20 damage per hand) Dual hand Crossbows+1= (1d6 +1 +2 +3Dex +1d6Necrotic +2Acid= 10-20 damage per hand)
@@lifes2short4bs73 Oh yes. As a Circle of Spores Druid, I have Mourning Frost (Quarterstaff- 1d4 Cold damage, Ray of Frost and Shillelagh will proc) , Winter's Clutches (Gloves, cold damage on enemy will inflict two turns of encrusted with Frost), Caustic Band (Ring) like you, and I am looking for another ring to augment my collection. I am also aware of the Spore Druid specific armor at the end of the game. I have previously recommened Spore Druid 7/ Fighter 5, but I am also going to go Spore Druid 12 for the 48 temp HP and army of zombies. The melee damage stacks nicely, I just want Polearm Master to proc with Shillelagh and the necrotic damage of SE and it still looks like it doesn't.
@@acephas3 Yeah That Spore Druid armor is really sweet looking. I will probably play around with other builds once I'm in act 3 and have that, and things like the gloves that set your strength to 23. For these lower levels working up to act3.. I'm preferring what 1-2 levels of fighter brings to the table. Once I'm lv12 and have some choice pieces of equipment, I might go back to Pure Druid.
I have been using Monk 1/ Spores 6 and its been great. The extra necrotic damage from Symbiotic adds to the monk weapon and unarmed strike. (Also if you equip a shield it SHOULD NOT let you add your wisdom to your AC)
The beastial aspects you get at level 6 are general passives. This means that aspect of the Stallion can be activated by using the dash action at the start of a day! Very nice buff to start a day, which you can pretty much maintain always in combat with eagle heart.
I highly recommend picking up resilient CON or war caster for your first druid feat. Especially if you do the "cast spell" into "wild shape" as a moon druid. Flaming sphere and a bear are a pretty decent frontline. Good luck 👍🏼
Great video as always! One thing I’ve noticed on Ps5 (and from what I’ve seen PC if you’re using a controller) there seems to be a bug with owlbear form. Crushing flight appears in the spell book but not in your radial (hot bar) so is unusable. Real shame as I want to peoples elbow as an owlbear so bad 😢 Loving moon Druid still though
@@adrianogoncalves3431 No, you are currently unable to edit the radials when in wildshape form. I just tested this after seeing this comment. Super unfortunate.
The 5 land druid / 1 monk really feels like you multiclassed just for the sake of multiclassing. Like, sure, you can use flurry of blows and add your wis to AC, but your dex is probably 14 or less and you can wear medium armor as a druid already.
it does definitely feel incomplete at level 6, i'd get the combination for multiclassing with way of the four elements since those scale off of wisdom too and/or pairing it with the gloves that set your dex to 17 but i really do not see the appeal of giving up an -extra hit for more AC, i can forego some damage but never an action- (stupidly wrong statement) EDIT: i like the owlbear at level 6 too much to give it up
He explained why. You don't get anything particularly useful for CotL at level 6 so might as well grab a level in something else. These are level 6-focused guides.
It’s for two reasons: 1. Circle of the Land gets Landstride, which is meh, and your Wildshape a get extra attack at level 5. 2. Circle of the Land Druids get spell options that, for the most part, are already on the Druid list. So, if you are preparing to multiclass, level 5 is a good stopping place, as you gain access to the haste spell.
@fextralife Love your guides and builds. I always walk away learning something I didn't know. I'd like to suggest an alternative Circle of Spores build. It's a melee focused build that delays Fungal Infestation by taking one level of Fighter at character creation. The trade gains you Two Weapon fighting for 1d6 necrotic damage per hand with Symbiotic entity, Constitution saving throws, ALL weapons and armor, and Second Wind at character creation. This made my character so much stronger while leveling vs going straight Druid. At level 4 Druid (Character lv5) I grabbed Dual Wielder and am using Caustic Band (Ring +2 Acid on weapon hit), Gloves of Archery (+2 damage on ranged weapons) Dual Rapiers+1= (1d8 +1 +3Dex +1d6 Necrotic +2 Acid= 8-20 damage per hand) Dual hand Crossbows+1= (1d6 +1 +2 +3Dex +1d6Necrotic +2Acid= 10-20 damage per hand). I'm currently lv6 with this build and I find myself spending less time at camp and more time adventuring compared to the pure Druid.... Usually it's my Cleric that forces me back to camp for a long rests. I plan to keep taking Druid levels to C-level 8 then I'll get a 2nd level of fighter for Action Surge at C-level 9, and finish out with Druid levels to get Spreading Spores.
Why dip monk as a druid? If your goal was more AC, then any cleric with a heavy armor from their subclass would get the same result. Also monk delays access to higher level spell slots. 4 elements monk gets a few spells, but continuing to take levels in a full casting class ensures you keep getting real spell slots, and more importantly, the higher level spell slots for upcasting
issue if the best circle of land druid armor is light armor, If doing the monk 1 lv would save till level 12 as that level wont effect your spellcasting and essentially just lets you use the wizard robes without loss of ac.
If I'm going circle of the Moon, does it make sense to dump everything into wisdom? I still want to cast spells before going into animal form, but I don't know if dex benefits wild shape or if your wisdom modifier helps just as much
Is a BarBearian build (Circle of the Moon Druid + Wildheart Barbarian) viable? How should you level this? My idea was to start with 2 lvls of druid for subclass, then 4 lvls of barb for subclass and a feat, then continue with druid to have 8 druid / 4 barb in the end. Is this good?
I thought using a shield would negate unarmored feature (adding WIS to AC) since shields are armor. Never thoguht to multi Monk & Druid. I do love Druids.
if you insist on circle of land having monk I would go 1 monk, 2 tempest cleric rest druid so at least getting a max damage on your lightning. p.s cant use shield and gain monk wis/dex armor. Doing this will give you your lv6 slot at least.
I've seen others recommend it, so I'm pretty sure you can make it work. You should be able to start Raging, shift into Bear/Owlbear, and you'll still be raging which means getting all that nice damage reduction. Probably something like 3/9 Barb/Druid, so you don't stunt your Wild Shape progression overly much. Not sure how the damage compares to going full Moon.
I still fail to see a point in those videos. There's no real "build" going on, it's not fallout when you've got 10-20 perks every other level to choose from, you mostly follow a pre-made path choosing 1 out of 3 directions 2-3 times throughout the whole playthrough, not even early levels. The build for bg3 should include team interactions, weapons with effects/spells, armor, jewelery. I don't see it here. All I see is "click level up and keep playing".

With that build alone you'll have 6 zombies to start with. Pretty crazy imo

War caster doesn't work in Wild Shape. Take resilient CON. The proficient bonus is present in Wild Shape.

I love druid. But I struggle with then because of bugs.
Also ending combat and missing dialogs because I'm in animal form is so frustrating.
