Nice run! that heel toe man, i need to work on that sooo bad. I got some more recent vids that i have been to post, my best time is only around 2:13 on street tires, so got a ways to go. Hope my new RS3s will help me shave off a few more secs.

+Ryan Greene Thanks for the kind words. As for heel-toe the best way to learn it is to find a stretch of empty road where you can shift from 2nd->3rd->4th then down 4th->3rd->2nd. Repeat. Do that for as long as you can, say 30 minutes minimum and the longer the better. Once you get the feel there any time you're rolling to a stop put in the clutch and while braking go REV REV REV without changing pressure on the brake (make sure you can't feel the car lurching). Then once that's smooth try it on the track and you'll find it's far easier on the track as when you're full pressure on the brake it's easy to blip without changing that full pressure. Pick 2 corners to practice in, say 4 and 1 since those are after long straights.
2:13 isn't bad in the least, what are you driving? My best right now is a 1:58, this is just the best video I've done with multi-camera.

+Ross Carlson Running a subaru BRZ. I emailed you just a bit ago, craigslist ad for the fanatec racing sim stuff. Was checking out your sim setup and looked at your other vids. Good stuff man,
I have been working on my BRZ to be more and more track ready. Just got some new wheels and wider tires with some Hankook RS3 tires, hoping these will allow for much better grip and help with better lap times. Looks like you have some good experience on HPR with your lotus, pretty damn fast. I was able to shave off a good 10secs or so with just better tires, coilovers and brakes last year, so hoping with these new stickier tires i can get a few more secs. I am averaging around 2:16 or so on my current setup.
My dad has a couple lotuses, as well as many other cars and i have always loved them. I considered a new Lotus for my next track car, and have been kind of on the fence of Lotus vs Porsche, but time will tell. My dad is supercharging his elise currently, seems like a pretty good project. And man with the weight of those cars and supercharged, ugh, crazy fast. He mostly does SCCA events. And unfortunately is not local, as i would love to try out his cars.
If the weather is nice, i might try to get my car out to HPR this coming Customer Appreciation day, once they figure when that is, would be cool to see you out there if you are planning for that. I don’t take my car out much or at all in the winter weather, but if its clear enough, i will try. I really want to get a trailer for it, so that i can just tow it out there, vs driving it.

+Ryan Greene 2:13 in a BRZ is pretty damn good my friend, those are quick but not very fast cars. I haven't gotten to drive one yet but the press has been very positive on them. As for HPR I've probably done 4000 laps there since 2009, I'm pretty lucky to get around 25 days a season there. I've been instructing since then as well and have probably worked with 100 students in that time so I've gotten lots of time in the right seat as well. Needless to say I know it rather well.
As for Lotus vs. Porsche to me there's no contest, Lotus all day. The main difference is the experience - a Porsche Cayman/911 is a very fast street car where an Elise/Exige is a fast race/track car. The feel of driving/riding in my car is full-on racecar where any street Porsche is going to be quite and comfy by comparison. There's nothing like 1800lbs, 360whp and a fully gutted interior - most people describe my car as the most intense thing they've ever experienced.
