I just got an above the knee amputation & I love watching your videos I'm glad I came across your channel & now I'm a subscriber. Just waiting for when I can get my prosthetic leg. One question you showed how to flip it inside out but how would they put it on, bet it's more difficult.
Ever try rolling certain dri on ur hands? I have ehlers Danlos and hyperhydrosis as well. Rubbing that on my hands and feet at night has been life changing!!! It doesn't wash off either 😊
Wow. I am rbka with two good arms. I don't know if I could do it if one of my arms was partially amputated. When I don my pin lock liner, I was told to put it on with a lot of force to keep an air pocket from forming on the end of my residual limb. I was told an air pocket could cause bruising at the end of my residual limb. If I did it one handed I think I would end up with an air pocket. I have some bruising so I try to put it on tightly.
I just got an elevated vacuum socket and am absolutely hating the liner because it is incredibly difficult to put on with two hands. I had shoulder surgery 8 months ago and didn’t have help putting my liner and leg on and am pretty sure I caused the bicep tenodesis anchor to loosen. Now, with my new and difficult liner, my shoulder is irritated and the tendinitis in my other elbow is irritated. I’m pretty frustrated as I love the elevated vacuum but can’t stand the heavy, difficult to don liner. It’s also sliding off my leg as I’m finding the urethane isn’t sticking to my skin. The minute i start working out and sweating the tiniest amount, everything slides south. It’s painful to the end of my residual limb to have to don it multiple times a day. I seem to be going around and around with my prosthetist when I tell them it’s not working for me. 😏 I’m extremely active as a BKA and am so frustrated.
Thank you for sharing this information for this so might need it for themselves or a client/patient.
God bless you Wonder woman ' 🙋♂️👍

An aside here...love the subliminal message to 'subscribe'. Now all you need are pillows with covers that say 'like' and 'comment'.

If you use isopropyl alcohol and spray the liner out just roll it on alcohol will on outside and evaporate

Do you have to take your leg off when you use the bathroom toilet 🚽
Linear price please
I bet Cameron might have some insight on this.
I believe he uses direct suction. No liner.
@@AmputeeOT what is direct suction with no liner?
That would be using suction without a liner. Just skin fit.
@@AmputeeOT gosh! That sounds like a nice option! Liners and sleeves are the Bain of my athletic existence 🤪

Remind me to not complain about putting on a liner again.
Hey! Don’t complain about putting on a liner again!
Actually you totally can. I complain about having to put on a shoe or put the dishes away. :D
