This was sweet. Can you go over off balances against a kneeling opponent? I have the easiest time against standing passers but when they're on their knees, keeping their hips back and denying additional grips I have a hard time

Love this been playing a lot of lasso and got some.nice tips from this vid. One challenge I'm having is the sweep you play with the butterfly hook and then pull over your head. However my partner was using a back step when I put the butterfly hooknin putting me in a bad position. Any tips on this ?🤦♂️

Thanks so much for your generosity and sharing! Several partners have grown savvy to my lasso and, as soon as I weave my leg, they swing around to the opposite leg, thereby making it difficult to stay square w/ their hips. Or, they go right into crushing my off leg (I'm one of the littlest guys in my gym). Do you have any recommendations to ensure the off leg is more engaged or engaging it earlier? Thanks again and hope you can visit Tokyo one of these days!
You made good points. The other leg has to be engaged, ready to react to what ever they do. They can quickly isolate your opposite leg. They aren't waiting for your next move lol.
5:58 is a jiu jitsu discovery. I can't believe you can use your delahiva hook and combine it with a lasso to make the position much stronger. I knew you could do this with the one leg but never knew you could do it with the other leg in such a clever way. This may very well work well against an opponent who plans on killing the delahiva by using both hands to kill both of the legs pushing down on the delahiva hook with one hand. and killing the other side leg with the other hand. I may have to try this. The best ways I came up with trying to kill this sort of defense would be to either wrap their lapel around their leg in order to get the knee in a way that makes the position stronger. And the other way was to free the right leg and use that to push on the shoulders rotating their arm away from framing on the leg. Either way that is a fantastic discovery for delahiva
Would love to see some videos on what to do when playing lasso and the opponent drops to their knees. Are there any good sweeps from that position?

Can you do omoplata from lasso? A annoying fk from my gym always does it and I want to harness this power
What to do, from lasso, against a very large man who just planks out and runs side to side. Triangles are out of the question and omoplatas can work but are terrifying. This dude is 300 plus former offensive lineman. Any ideas besides avoiding the roll or weapons?
Also have tried like short arm drags from there but with varying degrees of success. If it doesn’t work my life ends type of thing
