History is funny, now Roy is getting credit for taunting as if he didn’t steal the hole telling the ref to stop the fight thing from Leonard who stole his hole style from Ali. And I’ve seen a bunch of rounds end without a fighter landing a punch Christ Willy pep won a round without landing a punch. I’m surprised rogan is such a RJJ fanboy. But I do agree at 160-168 Roy was on an other level than any other fighter of “HIS” generation.and to be fair I really didn’t like Roy but have way more respect for him now due to the way he would lose like a champion and always come back for more, if he had a great chin he actually might have been the g.o.a.t but it’s still clearly Robinson.
What happened with Roy Jones jr. Was... Be fought past his point and a guy called Antonio Tarver, sometimes the guy just has your number and Antonio Tarver had Roy Jones jr. Number... but rice should have never thought past the second knockout, he really shouldn't have got past the first one, but the second one showed that his chin was gone and he tarnished his legacy after that... However, he is undoubtedly the best. If you take him and compare him to the champions of the past who fought all the time, that's a whole different thing, but I don't think you could take any Champion within his weight class at any time in history and put them up against Roy Jones in his prime and they would have come out on top over Roy.
Greg Falco Yeah right when did you start watching floyd? Dude have plenty offense in his peak days. once he shattered his hands he became more defensive.

PEOPLE ACT LIKE ROY WAS SO GREAT AND ALWAYS SEEM TO FORGET ABOUT THE MANY MANY FIGHTS HE GOT VIOLENTLY KO'D IN AND THE ONES HE LOST ALWAYS MAKING SOME EXCUSE THAT EITHER HE WASNT THE SAME OR HE WAS PAST HIS PRIME. THERES NO SUCH THING AS A PRIME IN FIGHTING EITHER YOU CAN FIGHT OR YOU CANT FIGHT. IF ROY WAS EVER GREAT HE WOULD =NT HAVE BEEN ON HIS BACK UNCONSCIOUS SOO OFTEN.

Paz had more success against Jones in the early rounds of their fight, than a fighter his level would of had vs a prime Tyson, because Mike was better defensively than Roy.
I hate it when people overrate Roy Jones Jr. boxing is about more than speed. what Roy did was all genetics and speed. not much in skill. He wasnt that great. boxing fundemantal are important to true boxing fans and Roy dosnt bring that he brings the genetic freak show with super speed. Understand that the average person no matter how much they train cant do what Roy did becaue it was based on genetics and not a matter of skill.
Then how can he be overrated? By your own admission he wasnt a great boxer, DESPITE his lack of fundamentals he went on to become a top 20 fighter all time one athleticism alone. most gifted boxer to step into a ring ever.... for now
Travis Wilson LMAO!!! Hasn't he already caught an L in his first 10 fights & didn't he just get dropped in his last fight? He should not be mentioned with greats EVER.
James Carle Roy Jones Benn dropped in his early career and you don't give a fuck. Its boxing anything can happen. But you can't take away the skills and talent
novy acero Lmao!!! You're kidding right? Roy was not dropped early in his career nor did he take a loss so early in his career. You must be new to this sport.
I honestly think Lomachenko is a "new Roy Jones" to boxing. I believe they're the same kind of fighter: pure masterclass speed and technique.
Didnt talk about tyson at all .
how many concussions are 'too many'? ask sam harris
looks like a diving comp
Roy jone is better than floyd too Roy have better speed than Tyson but Tyson Power is too much for small roy jone
Gerald was not a light heavyweight he and Ben fought at 12 stones
Chavez Jr didn't land any and maybe even throw any in round 1 of his fight with Sergio Martinez. Thats just another fight where one guy didn't land shit in a round haha
mike tyson was probably the most overrated over marketed boxer of all time. any fool or casual who says mike was the goat please take it easy on them
Roy Nelson in his prime...lol joe
Gerald McClellan beat Roy in the amateurs
roy jones by faaaaaar
The annoying generic background music gets you a dislike since it stopped me from watching this video.
Roy Jones jr and manny pacquiao are the greatest boxers ever in my opinion
Joe Rogan don't know shit about Boxing. Keeps those lips on Dana White's ass over there in MMA.
Didn't throw many jabs 😕👓🤔
Good clip but WHY THE STUPID, ANNOYING MUSIC?!?!?! It absolutely adds nothing, and is annoying
MIKE TYSON WAS ONLY KO'D 2 TIMES ROY HAS BEEN KO'D LIKE HALF A DOZEN TIMES AND VIOLENTLY. JOE ROGAN DOSNT KNOW SHIT ABOUT BOXING
Joe must of been high lol. His commenting is a bit sketchy.
Roy's style was technically flawed though, so I might have to give the advantage to Floyd in that regard.
Greg Falco what he lacked in technique he more than made up for it with speed and physicality
This is very true, but Floyd had both....he just lacked one-punch power.
Because his offense was shet. He basically would never punch as long as his opponent was throwing.
Greg Falco
Yeah right when did you start watching floyd? Dude have plenty offense in his peak days. once he shattered his hands he became more defensive.
Roy was not "flawed" technically.
He just didn't use a jab as much.
Somewhere out in space, TRT Vitor and Prime Roy Jones are lurking, waiting..
These two are now fighting each other in September 2020. Can't see the point of it myself. Two shot fighters having a brawl. Whoever wins doesn't matter in the slightest. It's absolutely meaningless.
Tyson beat no one. The only three times he faced anyone was the two Evander fights and Lennox Lewis and he got stomped three times
He was washed up at that point.
burn in hell.
Roy Jones all day nigga!!
roy would lose
The opinion of a man who thought Conor could beat Conor in a boxing match mean very little to me or to anyone who knows boxing...
Jax Wins knocked out 4 times in 75 matches? And was 49-1 before his first loss, as the 1 was a DQ before actually losing a bout? And beat some of the best ever?
Yeah, tell me about how good your life has been as a McDonald's fry cook.
@@ChromeCobra Don't argue with people who don't know thier shit. It's a waste of time.
My gran mom greater than Joe rogan
Paz had more success against Jones in the early rounds of their fight, than a fighter his level would of had vs a prime Tyson, because Mike was better defensively than Roy.
Naw tyson better
Roy Jones Jr would get destroyed by Sugar Ray Robinson
Black dudes will always rule sports
Running from the cops and baby mamas is good training.
Dodging the hate makes you agile.
i dont care race, but why did klitschko rule for 2 decades? grow up little kid
Tito Mish no dude, the poor ppl will
Talk about sky right?! XD
jesus joe. learn about boxing or stop ptretending you know about boxing. im not sat here tell you how to mma
More amazing if he did all this with no boxing skillz. He's a GOAT
Then how can he be overrated? By your own admission he wasnt a great boxer, DESPITE his lack of fundamentals he went on to become a top 20 fighter all time one athleticism alone. Thats mindblowing to me! We will never sew another fighter with rjjs physical gifts. He is without question the most naturaly physically gifted fighter this sport has ever seen and there isnt a close second.
NO WONDER WHY YALL ALWAYS GET KO'D WHEN YALL TRY BOXING YALL THINK ITS JUST ABOUT SPEED OR POWER. TAKE NOTES FROM RONDA ROUSY
U don't know shit about boxing
Jax Wins is a shitty Mortal Kombat character
Now we get to see it!
