One of Tim Curry's best roles, with his voice you can't go wrong with a villain.
Another great role of his was Dragonus from the Mighty Ducks
He's also best for Pennywise from IT from the 1990 miniseries
Deep commanding voice, reminds me when I bite my nails
Seriously i love villains who just are so smug with themself
Omg I didn't know that was him tell I read your message and listen and it is him wow I didn't know that
I do wonder if they bother giving Williams a script or if they just let him lose then use and animate whatever fits.
Remember the merchant at the start of the first Aladdin movie?
Yeah, that was just Robin going to town in the sound booth and they animated around it. No joke.
EDIT: He also ad-libbed so many of his lines that the script had to be rejected for a Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award nomination. - IMDB

I always recited that Batty scene when I was little. My family found it hilarious that I knew it word for word.

Technically Hexxus is a Disney villain now.
Ironic considering Disney tried to get this film shut down.
@@shadowphoenix1696 Wow I didn't know that, then again it also does not surprise me.
@@WhoisPersona yeah it had to do with Robin Williams doing Ferngully and Aladdin and same time and a head at Disney didn't like Robin doing another animation film that wasn't with Disney.
Robin was quite pissed when he found out and contribute to the falling out between Robin and Disney.
Edit: Robin signed the contract to do Ferngully first so he had focus on that film first and Disney really wanted Robin and don't like competition
@@shadowphoenix1696 To dictate how an independent actor seeks out work is a new kind of low, I never met the man but I know that Walt would never done half the things that his company has done. I think Disney has gotten into the mentality that because they are one of the biggest names in entertainment that they can get away with anything. I bet my bottom dollar that they would be shaking in their boots if their antics attracted the attention of one of the bigger or should I say biggest sharks in the sea, they would be a real team player if Walmart was staring them down.
I know it's unlikely that a scenario like that would ever happen, but Walmart could by a country and still have enough gravy to buy Dinsey, that's a superlative by the way.
@@WhoisPersona yes it is.
And if Disney doesn't stop losing money Walmart won't be the only company that going to look there way.
Although I don't think Walmart would be any better.
Doesn't Walmart actually have a private Army, that's scary.
I watched this movie when I was a child. And all of the sudden at the age of 24 I remember one little snippet of this move and spent the whole day trying to find it. now this movie reminds me of a fever dream.

He is making a recovery, slow and steadily- never say never.
His wikipedia says that he's just doing voice acting and singing.
I watched this until the tape wore out. I still watch it if I find it on HBO or something lol but I realized as I got older the true message behind it. You see as a kid I loved it because my family has always worked in the sawmill and logging industry. Still own and operate a mill daily but when we do log we usually cut our own land but never clear cut like this. Were not all bad and I wish they would teach people that select cutting and proper land management helps the forest. Being greedy kills it like the rain forest.... when you select cut your taking the biggest trees which is good because they eventually drain nutrients from all smaller trees trying to grow. And usually clean up and take the dead trees. Done properly you can then harvest again in about 20-25 years. We dont want to wreck the environment we want to preserve it because many families depend on this industry
Oh yeah, but it's hard to teach nuance to children 😂
Hey people are using tree burials to clean out skies you can help out the environment in life and death

here because i literally had a forbidden flashback while trying to sleep and randomly remembered a fairy movie with a nightmarish forest scene, i can't believe i managed to find it
What is Hexxus some kind of demon?
In the movie intro he originally came from a volcano. My headcanon is that he was an elemental spirit that thrived on carbon dioxide and other gases prominent in the primordial era. Then plant life started converting the atmosphere to oxygen, and he had to retreat into the Earth to get the gases he needed to survive. Now that he's back on the surface, he wants to destroy all organic life to restore the environment he once thrived in.
