As another new league player, the reason the chat was silent is because on new accounts the chat starts out disabled (and for good reason lol). League is so overwhelming for someone who has never played it before and you're absolutely right about needing someone with experience to guide you. The game is so much fun but I'm honestly a little bit scared of how toxic the community can be, even in normal matches.
As a league player: yes, it's better to start out with Dota. Something that isn't mentioned here is the fact that the first-time user experience of League is horrendous. It's "Tutorial" doesn't teach you anything beyond moving your character, the abilities of 4 champions and the end-goal of the game. Unless you have friends to teach you the game it's better to avoid it.
Ive played league for a bit over a year, i definitely agree with you that you have to have someone who can teach you. The First 2 months of playing i didn’t understand what to do most of the time, so i didn’t have that much fun, but after you learn the First 2 months the game became fun most of the time, it also helps a lot to play with a friend since it requires 4 people to surrender. I think the fun of the game comes from close games and games Where you Roll the enemy team, and occasionally the game which seems unwinable and you end up winning.
the characters is part of the progression that was left from old times, most player already have all the characters so is not a big deal for us, but i can see why a new player could be turn off by it, but i think it helps new players to not feel overwhelmed by the massive amount that exist as it gives them time to try and learn those that they have. they have added a lot of ways to get new characters primarily by lvling up and trust me no one in the world buys characters with real money, back then we used to mock people that did is like buying a pizza for money when they give it for free if you just wait 10 minutes.
this video comes up perfectly. Recently i have started playing lol with a friend that hadnt played in a bunch (2-3 years)... and i must say that this game rejuvenated my will to play videogames in general. I have too many hours on overwatch and apex, and while i still think those two are the best i have ever played, they surely tired me a bit; so having something new, that i knew was deep and interestring (i have been always fascinated by mobas) and that i had someone to play with really helped me in a period where my will to improve in games was at an all time low. ITS SO MUCH FREAKING FUN! Support is so rewarding to play, and i cannot wait to discover all the abilities and possible combos you can do with them!!
Glad to hear that you had a good time getting into the game. Many of my friends, who tried it, didn't have as much fun. Enjoy the game as much as you can and don't let anyone spoil your time!
play counterstrike, very ffun and very rewarding as long as you learn how to throw smokes and flashbangs. it has a simple meta and while some games are toxic, you also will play with really cool funny stoners.
When i started league in season 2 i had no one to teach me, it was just me and my friend trying the game out and it was still a lot of fun, but i think back in season 2 there was a lot less smurfs during the leveling process. We also had other game modes like dominion (kinda like domination in CoD) and twisted treeline (3v3 mode on a smaller map) generally there seemed to be less smurfs in these mode. So we all dodge the smurfing issue. Sucks for newer player these days.
Never played lol so this was interesting. I do wonder how much Overwatch will head in this direction in terms of how complicated and overwhelming it will be for new players.
It already is, as a long-time player who has gotten multiple new players/friends into it. They are not the greatest and usually very overwhelmed when I try to explain things. It will just get worse imo lol. It's definitely a fun game though.
@@perrysteele1445 my point was the amount of heroes, and I don't think I was wrong. The bar to entry for Overwatch is very high, there's a ton of cooldown abilities and interactions, and it's a lot to learn and keep track of if you're new.
@@BrofUJu fair point. I’ve played overwatch since the beginning. I’m watching this video because I have just recently started league, and jeeez it is complicated for a new player, I mean the premise is straightforward but let’s just say I’m 5 games in and haven’t won one against the computer 😂
For what it’s worth, if you have an Xbox game pass subscription, you DO get all the champions for “free”. Most league players agree that the currency’s are way over done and need fixed, riot has said as much themselves and is working on it. There are some “new player” packs that have 20ish champions for a decent price. I noticed you didn’t get to the ranked experience in your video, I think you missed a major piece of the game by not experiencing that. It’s far batter (generally speaking) matchmaking. You also missed ARAM, arguably the best part of league. Good video, but I do think you should follow up with some of those core gameplay features. There is also a very good chance most of your games had bots in them, which is a problem with any FTP game. Those are also far less frequent in ranked play. I’d really like to see a follow up that features those missing things ❤
I'd love to see you play TFT for a week. Especially since we only got a new set a couple of weeks ago (which is a huuuuge reset point, where even the pros need to learn and study from a baseline again).
i know this is an old video to comment on, but the game is actually really fun with that friend he said you'd probably need, they give you good advice how to play against smurfs being smurfs themselves and you can tell when you're losing when they're getting tilted, i'm finally after years of playing getting more skilled at my champions and learning builds really well, and giving tips to players to help them improve. i was the one getting that treatment for so long and being able to be that mentor is a great feeling
I feel like every Riot employee needs to see this video and use it to fuel ideas toward curbing these horrible problems that genuinely make the game so difficult to get into. Giving up over and over and ESPECIALLY the excruciatingly horrible smurf problem make the game really hard to break into from a new state, and if they're not constantly bringing in and KEEPING new players, the playerbase is gonnna dry up no matter how many cool multimedia projects they put out.
i tried playing league for a bit yesterday. played 6 games. i didnt understand what was going on in the first game at all so after it, i went to watch some beginner guides. the second one went alright although i lost badly, the next 2 had players disconnecting and the last game everyone on my team was yelling at me for taking the jungle as a caitlyn and demanding the opposing team report me. i was forced to play caitlyn even though i had selected ahri with mid lane. i only really enjoyed that second game. even though i got steamrolled by my opponent, i was having fun trying to survive and fight against them. my advice for league of legends is dont play it. it has amazing characters and lore but is so hard to get into as a new player it isnt worth it.
Sorry your experience wasn’t great but I’d give it another shot just don’t listen to anyone on how to play when you just start, it’s way more fun when picking up the game to turn off chat and try to have fun then once you get the hang of it it gets more fun when you take it serious
Its interesting to see you consider dota to be a more accessible game than league for yourself. I played Wild Rift, the mobile version of lol and hit diamond, then started playing dota along with a friend once I got a PC, and I felt like dota was so much more hardcore and mentally intensive if you wanted to be competitive. Overwatch on the other hand, I find to be at a nice middle ground where games can get super intense or super chill depending on your mentality and character, which I find quite nice
Yo man, been watching your content for ages now. Glad to see you thriving! Really like this video and I'm curious if you'd ever dip your toes into figuring games? Deffo want to see you on Street Fighter 6
Character Design part: Tbh you can actually really easily get champions by free stuff like chests or capsules (which you get pretty fast), sure skins cost money but only if ur looking to buy a particular one and u dont have it already gotten it from a chest or smth ... Problems part: I can only tell about my self exprience playing ranked (only plat mmr), but there game dont really often get surrender voted, sure here and there someone presses it cause he/she had a rugh time or smth bad happend, but that mostlikely gets downvoted quick
Glad you posted this video, I was bored today and thought I might try out league but seeing the HUD UI and the convoluted currency system ima hard pass.
Weird I've always felt that League has the best free to play model I've encountered. You get to open champs quite regurarly and it is fun to research which champion to open next. And ofc you get free champs from boxes and that is fun experience too. I'd be overwhelmed if all were open from the start. But I guess they could let you open few which look interesting to you from the get go and then have the regular easy beginner champs open on top of the free rotation. Whatever floats your boat I guess. But yeah I played for 10years and never felt the need to put any money on the game and NEVER felt that I was at an disadvantage because of it. But maybe things are different these days. Only the smurfs are a big problem but that is in every online game.
The real meat of League is Ranked. Normals are pretty much just chaos. The higher rank you are, the more consistent the game becomes. That's why it's really not a game that's good with beginners.
I miss 2012 when people lost with dignity. I've won games where all our towers were destroyed, our base overrun, the nexus at 50% HP and we just manage to get 1 lucky wipe in and we just barrel through and take their Nexus. Those were the days. I haven't played since 2014 or so, started when Ezreal was a new champion, and it was so fun.
As a former ow player who started playing league more actively semi recently I feel your pain. My account is at around lvl 80 and i still keep getting smurfs in my ranked and unranked games which is to be expected in low silver. Also they need to remove the surrender option.
So one problem I see with competitive PVP games is the skill gap between players is too common and too large to be fun. Or it's less fun the larger the skill gap between the players. When it feels really close and evenly matched then I don't really mind losing at all, I am still having fun either way. In fact I would say I have a lot more fun losing a really tight game than I would winning a heavily one sided game. Regarding surrendering games. I notice that new players to a game rarely surrender. The new players are not going to be able to recognize smurfs or any difference in skill level. The new players are just having fun learning the game and are oblivious to the skill level of their opponents, they are oblivious to the current circumstances and situation of the game. But a more experienced player can recognize smurfs and recognize when they get matched against a much higher skilled opponent. And in some situations I think it makes a lot of sense to surrender. I agree that too many games end in surrender when it could still go either way. But I definitely see the need for the option to surrender. I think solving the disparity among players problem would also solve the surrendering problem, but that is probably next to impossible to do. There is always going to be unfair match ups in games.
Playing with a friend is def the way to get into the game but it might introduce smurfs into your games sooner which sucks. As for the other problems, like games not getting to the end and smurfs overall, that is all an unranked experience in league. I swear ppl only play unranked as a quick game that they can easily go next when the game is slightly one sided. Other modes like Ranked, ARAM, and the rotating gamemode will get rid of a lot of the problems. In ranked games are longer, and you will face enemies in your skill as unranked does not really have MMR, if you continue to play the game it has a LOT of fun experiences. And the shop and currency issue doesnt really exists once you play a little bit. In your early levels you get A LOT of blue essence to buy champs, and in ARAM and other modes you can try random champs that you may not have. BUT it is 100x better to just stick with one champ for a while while you learn the basics and get the currency to try more and more champs. IMO the best way to learn is to just watch youtubers like Zwag to learn champs and yes ik he is a hardcore smurf and just plays for fun so dont copy the build but he tries to explain the champs mechanics and some simple game sense, I watched him and pretty much started playing the game at a gold-plat lvl, ofc my previous gaming mechanics helped but game sense i learned entirely from him
I just want to touch up on a point you made, directly the paying for champion unlocks. For a new player, yeah it is very over whelming to jump into the game and seeing over 140 options and only having a rotating of 10. However this business model they have has been around since near the beginning of the games creation. I played the Alpha (of course not knowing how big the game was going to get). And they always had this, play X number of games to unlock this cool dude or lass. Though I do feel where we are now. Again 140+ champions to pick from. They should do something to help even the odds, if not just a little bit.
If you pay $10 for a Xbox game pass sub, you get all the champs during that sub. It's easily the best way to try them all out. Apart from that the surrender stuff can be annoying, but at least in NA it's not as bad of a thing. Good NA players that have played plenty in EU tend to mention how bad their style and attitude can be in many ways. This is probably one of them.
not everyone smurfs with ill intent. one of the only ways to convince your friends to play this game is by playing with them on their journey to learning the game. very few people want to start playing league & queue up alone. it's miserable. it's just natural that if you queue with new players you'll get placed against new players, ruining others experience. likewise, if you don't go on a new account and queue with your friend, your friend will be up against people 100x times their skill level. sure, the smurfs that do it with ill intent just to piss others off and have easy games, that's an issue on their end. but this kind of unintentional smurfing by playing with your friends in unsolvable and will always stay in the game forever.
There's kind of a speed bump of unfun for new players with how complex and punishing the game is, but once you get over it and your mmr settles, you get more consistent games... Although, I don't know why anyone would bother-- It's not unlike Overwatch! I spent months just chilling vs bots before I felt confident enough for pvp, And I absolutely hated that at first; it felt way too fast and I couldn't understand what was happening. Still, I thought it looked impressive and i'm not a quitter, so I played Aram just for funsies... Eventually, once I got into the flow, I got kind of addicted. I know you hated ARAM, it admitedly isn't particularly tactical, but it's a chill space to learn mechanics and heroes (and it's faster to get xp, champion capsules and chests). I obtained all champs I wanted after about 1 year of regular pvp... a long time, yeah, kinda sucks, but once you unlock a couple favs, it's honesly not an issue with the free rotation.
LoL is a drug I used to play it in middle school a lot lost my account stopped playing but bcs of arcane second season it’s making me want to return into it
The surrender function is absolutely bunk. I love it when I'm playing sion top 6-0, 200+cs and my team votes to surrender because someone died in a teamfight
I mean the gameplay is great, the characters are extremely creative and nobody can deny why it was (and still is) so popular. They do need to make every hero free though, there’s no reason for all the ridiculous micro transactions.
I play LoL with some friends that have been playing since it came out and I have to relate all the characters abilities to OW characters, if I can't I struggle to understand
I would love to see you take a non-Overwatch content creator and get them to experience the game for the first time. I feel like most perspectives on Overwatch RUclips come from veterans instead of noobs. Would be nice to genuinely know how good the new player experience is
I hope you ended up trying the arena gamemode, best gamemode every created by riot. also if you are smart, you can get every skin in the game for 3-4k, so it's not that bad for a free to play game
every year I find my self looking videos of how to play lol, cuz the game is never the same, I have started with wave control, and farming early, and now is more like, play agressive and focus in damaging the enemy early as much as possible, and if yoou dont kill early you get behind, only focusing in farming doesn´t work anymore, or something like that, but to be honest... play stupid champs that are no fun for win (lux, veigar, MF, Garen, etc etc) or have fun but frustrate faster
I've tried LoL and the surrender thing kills it for me. For 7 years I have always believed that every game of Overwatch is winnable, even if it seems insurmountable. Got rolled all the way to 3rd and didn't win a teamfight? Just do what they did on your attack but better. Enemy has an aimbotter/ximmer or even a smurf? Its time to dig deep because as a *team* its winnable even though its not fair that you are in that situation in the first place. From my time of playing LoL it is not symmetrical gameplay and you really can fall behind so I do understand the surrender and I think that's just a poor experience
Leauge has a mobile version which has ALOT of differences. It feels like a completely different game that just happens to use Leauge characters and other Leauge things. It's imo much better, easier and fun to get into. There's also less characters since the PC LoL characters take time to "port" to Wild Rift. Pretty sure you can also test Wild Rift on PC now.
My experience in a nutshell :3 Wild Rift, some advice, and you'll grind Gold or Plat. Solo Queue... Trying the PC version... Good Lord 👀 Toxicity is insane, had to bring a friend to the game, that finally tells me why jungle was just killing me :x The little egg to start at jungle post... First game, team was just like "Get good" Lmao Simply could've said, buy this x) Then the dude itself just got shredded and flamed the entire team... Toxic pool sweat 😂
i played league a lot over the years, i always quit because its a game where comebacks are not realistic. (like genuinely sometimes u win lane, but the enemy assasin is fed so u just lose the game bc ur a fucking adc or whatever and this guy kills you in a second or less) In terms of unlocking heroes if you own xbox game pass you get them all for free. I highly reccomend it if thats a sticking point to you. Also arena is out right now. its a super casual game mode where you get to fight 2v2 and get these game changing augments that buff ur champ. Its the only time i come back to league now bc the characters are so fun but i just dont enjoy summoners rift anymore you hit the nail on the head with needing a smurf/friend to play with you. I helped my friend learn league and for the first 30 levels we just grinded together so even when it was bad smurfy games it wasnt too tilting. then in ranked she got to learn a lot more (she hit plat recently, after only playing for a couple months!!!)
Man, the saying about the characters is very, very wrong. I have like, 5 accounts and I have like, 60+ champions in 3 of them, the another two a I have the full roster. The game rewards you by playing it.
The part you refer to about items and levels... Yeah, one item, or even being even in items within certain match ups is straight losing. In high elo it's even alarming.
the paywall isnt a nessecary thing, cosmetics are available to anyone, considering you can get chests etc from passes or playing the game, you can get all cosmetics for free and all champions for free, so him saying locked behind a paywall is just a dick move
I think his point is, he was learning Dota 2 prior to it and you can access to all 100+ heroes right from the get go. Instead of 10 heroes/week or whatever it is and then have to play a ton of games just to buy one. Like imagine he really wanted to play X hero he saw from YT and it's not available on the free rotation. He could only spend $ to buy it if he wants it now, where compared to Dota 2 you don't have to. He's trying this for 7 days, cosmetics are probably the least of his concerns. Also since he's a new player/acc, imagine every game is mostly heroes from the free rotation. Gotta think from his POV
@@lukcr1sp364 Is it that hard to understand? How many games do you need to play to get a 6k BE hero? Newbie A enters league, gotta grind X games in order to purchase the hero he wants. Newbie A enters dota2, can immediately picks the dota he wants. Without having to GRIND to unlock the hero or if he's impatient pay2unlock it. It's a super old 2009 model. All I can say is League is honestly the most dated game I know, it's literally just the Korean/Chinese/Vietnamnese carrying Riot games. The itemizations, heroes are almost the same as it was in 09. My only advice to y'all still staying at League, if y'all truly enjoy MOBA definitely give Dota 2 a proper chance. Streamers are still on League because that's the base they built up, given a choice I'm sure they wouldn't play it.
There is no catch up mechanic in #LoL. Once you start losing there is very little chance of climbing back. As games are 30min to 45min or longer, surrender is just cutting short a frustrating session.
I left LoL because of the sheer abuse in every single lobby at the time, glad to hear you got a better experience. In the end the whole thing is too much for me…too many champs, items, builds, loadouts, and strats. For the moment I can at least keep all of OW in my head by comparison.
ayo wait this video came out a day or so after i started learning and playing league with my friends huhh what are the chances. Also ive been personally learning and maining azir so far. I was instantly drawn in to his Egyptian vibes and then seeing that hes also a difficult and unique champ whos a summoner, i had to try him out and i enjoy him although my matches are a bit too hard in my friends lobbies so i gotta learn a bit more by myself prolly. Also as a doomfist main difficult characters are definitely something im drawn to but that has its down sides.
As someone who plays a lot of azir you chose like the worst champion to start with haha. Must of been terrible to start Lol hopefully your still having fun on him!
@@nolanc6057 yup im smart like that, i usually play movement or niche characters in champion/hero based games so i saw azir looks cool, is unique, and has movement. And now prolly about 90% of the matches ive played have been on azir. Playing custom 3v3s with friends on azir has been fun tho and much more than normal matches even with friends. I haven't played much in a month or two but I still plan to play almost only azir whenever i do hop on. He is hard tho because unless im doing really good damage to whoever im up against or im up against someone i can play at a distance from, i get messed up by tanky people or divey people or pretty much everyone lmfao
I absolutely hate how people give up and quit. I have won while being 20 kills down. Especially in ranked. Take that to norms ranked is competitive, not for cry babies who give up.
Ff is good and so is playing vs smurfs if you’re truly trying to improve. You have a massive advantage coming from dota. League has its own version of supp power creep from ow the balance is ass. Play for 6 months learn a role or 2 maybe 2 or 3 characters their matchups and general item affects you’ll see what the people typing in chat “sick of it yet” are on about
I tried LoL myself & within 5 games was called slut, whore, bitch etc so much, people just throwing my games because my name is feminine & I was trying to learn to play a female character. Yeah, didn't last long playing that. HoTS is where its at for me lol HoTS feels more straight lined & less confusing than LoL or DoTA to me. You don't have coins or items to buy, just learn your characters abilities, & what the talents do, & you're golden. Great video as always ♥
I just recently got into gaming. Playing something called Osu. And it’s so much easier than League (which is a game he plays all the time when he’s free). But yeah! Since I have such a great pc, he told me to play something else other than just Osu (cuz it’ll be a waste of all those good parts). So, I looked up how to play League. But after reading the comments about how difficult the game had gotten, I think I’ll just pass 😭. Guess I’ll be sticking to Osu then. I still want to try it though. But it’s actually so difficult looking for a new player like me (and a new gamer)
Your comments about surrendering as a pain point are interesting. Ultimately the game feels miserable and embarrassing to play when you feed your lane opponent, which causes egoistic people to desperately want to ‘go next’. This is unfortunate as you’re probably right about most games being winnable. People just hate the feeling of being a loser over the next 40 minutes, especially when 4 other people depended on them.
Nice video. As another comment below your gripes with smurfs is really just because people probably got banned and are levelling accounts. From the gameplay footage the smurfs looked about gold level so while better are not so insane. Really the best way to enjoy the game is once you hit level 15 play 1 bot game for the free guaranteed first win of the day XP boost then play only ARAM or featured game modes. Should take around 2 weeks of average play to hit 30 then you can hit up ranked and have at it. First game of ranked on a fresh account is Gold 4 MMR and from playing the game for donkeys years at anywhere from bronze to high plat. Gold has the best ranked games feeling wise. Its me LithiumLights kek

League is a great game but the new player experience is probably one of the worst in any game. The tutorial is laughably bad and there are smurfs everywhere. Riot really should invest some time into improving the new player experience
not even 2 minutes in and I want to rip my ears off... also funny how smurfs in LOL are a " problem" but in OW they are not. Its not great to get shit on all the time, is it?
I appreciate a new content creator trying league but the issue that he brought up can be summarized to: skill issue. If the desire to win outweighs the humiliation of the league of legends learning curve you will have fun in the long run. You give up because you are scared to address the effort it would take to close the skill gap to enjoy the game. Skill based match making isn’t perfect but it’s the best we can do for now.
So your advice to new players is for them to try their best to not be new players. The cowardly new players are too scared to constantly be put in unfair matches against players they shouldn't be playing against and you just ignore his point about riot never putting good options to unlock all the champs without putting way too much money into the game. Sick takeaway dude.
Every sport that exists including gaming has skill gaps. Ever got styled on in a 1on1 coverage in football? Or ankles broken in basketball? Or get farmed by a smurf in league? Suck it up and keep trying because you love the game. If you dont want to play this sport for what it is and get better then you can fuck off@@Kevx9001

Same dude. This set is insanely fun
@SVB Same! SVB, I think you'd like it due to it being a strategy game. You should give it a week like you did with LOL!
whenever i hear 6 figure bank balance and a game in one sentence i somehow know it's developed by riot
Love these 7 days - it's a great format.
i know this is an old video to comment on, but the game is actually really fun with that friend he said you'd probably need, they give you good advice how to play against smurfs being smurfs themselves and you can tell when you're losing when they're getting tilted, i'm finally after years of playing getting more skilled at my champions and learning builds really well, and giving tips to players to help them improve. i was the one getting that treatment for so long and being able to be that mentor is a great feeling
That surrender gripe sounds like an eu problem. In na they will fight till the very end, it's always winnable.
I played EU West and EU NE (for around 5 years before be able to delete that garbage) .....both are the same
11:43-11:50
This is all league of legends is about. Right there. Those 7 seconds.
Overwatch on the other hand, I find to be at a nice middle ground where games can get super intense or super chill depending on your mentality and character, which I find quite nice
mobile players are mostly just kids
6:30 "Chat was silent" Oh, so they did roll out that change. You have to ENABLE chat. Otherwise you won't see people calling you slurs.
Yo man, been watching your content for ages now. Glad to see you thriving! Really like this video and I'm curious if you'd ever dip your toes into figuring games? Deffo want to see you on Street Fighter 6
Character Design part:
Tbh you can actually really easily get champions by free stuff like chests or capsules (which you get pretty fast), sure skins cost money but only if ur looking to buy a particular one and u dont have it already gotten it from a chest or smth ...
Problems part:
I can only tell about my self exprience playing ranked (only plat mmr), but there game dont really often get surrender voted, sure here and there someone presses it cause he/she had a rugh time or smth bad happend, but that mostlikely gets downvoted quick
If you get game pass and link it to league you unlock all legends immediately and you can just do the free trial to perm unlock them
Glad you posted this video, I was bored today and thought I might try out league but seeing the HUD UI and the convoluted currency system ima hard pass.
Not sure if I’m to late but you could try Dota 2, I’m just gonna start getting into it for some of the reasons this guy mentioned
I've never gotten the hang of league, but it's cool to see you having fun!
Me and my room mate learned it together , it was most fun dayes i had ever have
So one problem I see with competitive PVP games is the skill gap between players is too common and too large to be fun.
The only free to play game I’ve ever felt was fair is Warframe.
not everyone smurfs with ill intent. one of the only ways to convince your friends to play this game is by playing with them on their journey to learning the game. very few people want to start playing league & queue up alone. it's miserable. it's just natural that if you queue with new players you'll get placed against new players, ruining others experience. likewise, if you don't go on a new account and queue with your friend, your friend will be up against people 100x times their skill level.
sure, the smurfs that do it with ill intent just to piss others off and have easy games, that's an issue on their end. but this kind of unintentional smurfing by playing with your friends in unsolvable and will always stay in the game forever.
1:53 madara uchiha 🔥🔥🔥
I mean the gameplay is great, the characters are extremely creative and nobody can deny why it was (and still is) so popular.
They do need to make every hero free though, there’s no reason for all the ridiculous micro transactions.
I agree with everything. The worst part is the comunity, this game has one of the absolute worst comunities ever to exist around a game.
Would be nice to genuinely know how good the new player experience is
i think you can probably stop watching the video when someone says that league is casual when compared to heroes of the storm
Playing nothing but smurfs after getting out of the very lowest ranks is also what happened to me the last time I made a go at StarCraft 2.
League 2014 -2018 was prime
I don't know League or Dota, but if Dota just hands you ALL the characters from the get-go....man, thats' quite a difference.
I hope you ended up trying the arena gamemode, best gamemode every created by riot. also if you are smart, you can get every skin in the game for 3-4k, so it's not that bad for a free to play game
Great vid. Thanks!!
The Persona music tho 👀
every year I find my self looking videos of how to play lol, cuz the game is never the same, I have started with wave control, and farming early, and now is more like, play agressive and focus in damaging the enemy early as much as possible, and if yoou dont kill early you get behind, only focusing in farming doesn´t work anymore, or something like that, but to be honest... play stupid champs that are no fun for win (lux, veigar, MF, Garen, etc etc) or have fun but frustrate faster
Chat is wild rift a good mobile alternative to the real deal??
My experience in a nutshell :3
Wild Rift, some advice, and you'll grind Gold or Plat. Solo Queue...
Trying the PC version... Good Lord 👀
Toxicity is insane, had to bring a friend to the game, that finally tells me why jungle was just killing me :x
The little egg to start at jungle post... First game, team was just like "Get good" Lmao
Simply could've said, buy this x)
Then the dude itself just got shredded and flamed the entire team... Toxic pool sweat 😂
i played league a lot over the years, i always quit because its a game where comebacks are not realistic. (like genuinely sometimes u win lane, but the enemy assasin is fed so u just lose the game bc ur a fucking adc or whatever and this guy kills you in a second or less)
In terms of unlocking heroes if you own xbox game pass you get them all for free. I highly reccomend it if thats a sticking point to you.
Also arena is out right now. its a super casual game mode where you get to fight 2v2 and get these game changing augments that buff ur champ. Its the only time i come back to league now bc the characters are so fun but i just dont enjoy summoners rift anymore
you hit the nail on the head with needing a smurf/friend to play with you.
The ff issue is definitely a USA server thing tho
the paywall isnt a nessecary thing, cosmetics are available to anyone, considering you can get chests etc from passes or playing the game, you can get all cosmetics for free and all champions for free, so him saying locked behind a paywall is just a dick move
@@noyce. but you dont have to pay real money for the characters, so I don't get what youre saying
7 days and already got the smurf coaster
The only issue with league is matchmaking why does it take soo long like valorant has less people and u can get matches instantly
Oh no my addiction attacks a overwatch player
There is no catch up mechanic in #LoL. Once you start losing there is very little chance of climbing back. As games are 30min to 45min or longer, surrender is just cutting short a frustrating session.
bounty system no?
I left LoL because of the sheer abuse in every single lobby at the time, glad to hear you got a better experience. In the end the whole thing is too much for me…too many champs, items, builds, loadouts, and strats. For the moment I can at least keep all of OW in my head by comparison.
Turn chat off?
i mean as someone who play league 10 years sure now days impossible to new player learn something unlucky :(
ayo wait this video came out a day or so after i started learning and playing league with my friends huhh what are the chances.
MINECRAFT. AN FPS PLAYER WOULD BE GREAT AT MINECRAFT
Miss fortune one of the oldest champs😂
why no playing against bots solo, i cant see it only on co ops
He didnt even show us how to start a game, the LOL menu is so cluttered, where is the play button ?
Honestly the surender issue depend on the region. In sea its rare for people to surender
Thanks ❤
next game idea the last of us multiplayer factions iykyk
Ff is good and so is playing vs smurfs if you’re truly trying to improve. You have a massive advantage coming from dota. League has its own version of supp power creep from ow the balance is ass. Play for 6 months learn a role or 2 maybe 2 or 3 characters their matchups and general item affects you’ll see what the people typing in chat “sick of it yet” are on about
Yeah, you got the full league experience. Congrats, you can uninstall it now
i did already:))
@@MoGabbRomania good man
Xbox pass gives you all the champs, I play League and honestly, rarely ever spend money
for me the fun part of the game is that tactics runes and learning part. cuz there is never enough to learn
4:32
You don't need to spend any money in LOL
The only thing i liked about this game was rakan. And it doesnt feel fun to play against the vets of the game
Game pass give all heroes for free I believe
How about Team Fortress 2?
That’s sounds awful. I think about getting into it because of Arcane, but I’ll pass. Thanks for taking one for the team.
All a see is Dishonored and yes jinx is 🔥 a don't care.
Ranked is full of smurfs

Rocket League!
it's nice to see him all excited and I dont even understand why. XD
League is a great game but the new player experience is probably one of the worst in any game. The tutorial is laughably bad and there are smurfs everywhere. Riot really should invest some time into improving the new player experience
When it comes to league of legends, the game is actually good, the players though, are not.
no.. just no.
don t play this stupid game , 0 balance, many scripters ... only shit is in this game
scripters are already gone but u gain a new friend that everyone hates "vanguard"
not even 2 minutes in and I want to rip my ears off...
also funny how smurfs in LOL are a " problem" but in OW they are not.
