- I react to and analyze train jingles from the Tokyo subway system, and other trains in Japan. I'm basically trying my hand at the Charles Cornell thing haha.

Japan makes the coolest stuff.
Also, I really love the synth timbres that these jingles use. They kinda have that nostalgic 2000’s midi sound.
I wonder why here in my country, Brazil, each station in each subway line of my city, San Pablo doesn't have departures, but only arrival melodies like what they do everyday in Japan?
These sophisticated synthesizer sounds are the "true definition" of mainstream, contemporary Japan.
Don't you think? It has a certain futuristic feel that I don't feel overseas...
These jingles are useful. Being able to describe the area of the station without words. For example, if the music sounds like it appeals for younger generations, the area is likely for students. Or if there are heavy use of traditional instruments, the area is rich in history. Helpful for tourists.
I love how you took the YATTA exclamations to the next level here hahaha thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 🎶☺️
The "What's up weebs" in the intro should be a meme I promise.
8:26 who can hear the *gan gan gan gan gan gan gan* in the background? ITS THE RAILROAD CROSSING
I actually listen to Casiopea on Spotify occasionally!

Bro how much is that Treadwall in your living room?!?! I know as much about rock climbing as thermodynamic which is absolutely zero but I can just tell that thing is HELLA expensive lol super cool analysis btw lol
I stayed for a few days in a hotel in Yokohama close to Kannai station and I remember thinking that that jingle was one of my favorites when taking the train there. :)
Just found your channel dude, youre doing great stuff. Ive learned a lot already and I went to school for this stuff! Your perspective is great and your explanations are very palettable.

Hi Gavin. I am wondering whether you have any interest in analysing YOASOBI's songs. I think no one has really gotten deep in analysing their songs, especially in English. It's really intriguing how their songs are all galvanising. Many people including me are really curious about what makes their songs really good. I hope you would consider it. Thanks a lot!
This video gave me 魚歌 flashbacks.

I should dislike this reaction vid on principle. But, I'll make an exception for a fellow weeb/musician.
It's not even a reaction video, but I assume that title just dooes better on RUclips.
