I love this series, but the underappreciation of what minoru mukaiya has done for Japanese music is a crime much worse than crossing a yellow line! 🤣
Minoru Mukaiya is a world famous musician. He was the keyboard player for the legendary fusion jazz band Casiopea ruclips.net/video/AKgjOCuW_MU/видео.html He has continued to perform, including with drummer Akira Jimbo and bass player Tetsuro Sukarai.
Recently I made this connection after watching the "Fightman" performance on youtube. I was wondering why one of the keyboardists looked so familiar. Later on I re-watched this episode and realized they were the same person. It really sucks that they don't mention his work with Casiopia, though it was definitely fun to figure out the connection
That jingle at the end *BEAUTIFUL*
Minoru is one of the best keys players on the planet. Massive talent and an amazing personality. Casiopea is royalty!
“Sore wa too blues” 😂
the lyrics-"James May, excuse me" loool
It hurts my soul to hear Mukaiya referred to as a "train jingle composer" lmao. I mean, that too, I guess...
S a m e
"Train Jingle Composer" ... 😦
Send this man a Casiopea video, stat.
"well maybe this might be on youtube" he knew
なんて俺得なコラボだ!
Some homework for the comment sections: go watch Domino Line by Casiopea, and Minoru Mukaiya is behind the keyboards. In fact, both of the Ms in the name of the 1982 album Mint Jams are for his name, same with the other band members.
today I learned that mint jams is an anagram, love that album
Hearing people speak the language of music is like magic to me.
Does anyone has the insta of the two otakus ?
