    Awesome tutorial, thank you. Really liked the layering of the stars with different opacity and reusing stars with different colors. The technique used to make the individual stars is very helpful too

    Hey! I do the same thing with opacity brushes and layers. Such a wonderful technique to introduce depth. You're the first person I've seen who executes it in an identical manner to myself.
    Don't get me wrong there's something charming about the classical method of high value and high saturation that's full of colors and contrast, but I just really love the blending of opacity that adds a richness to the depth of the canvas or sprite when utilized properly - as well as creating some great natural textures.
    I'm not the only one!! xD

      @@PixelRocket Question! When you do the second wispy clouds around 1:49 do you duplicate the layer? I'm asking as I noticed the colour of the brush is a lot brighter and i'm not quite sure how you did that for the second layer without seemingly changing any settings or the colour palette.

    • @PixelRocket
      @PixelRocket  2 года назад +1

      Good question! The trick to that part lies in the opacity settings of the brush being used. Since its a low opacity, drawing a second layer over the first creates a brighter color because we're essentially doubling the opacity where those layers overlap. Hope that helps!
