- Earth is a unique planet. Out of all the planets in our Solar System it’s the only one that’s developed life. But what if it’s not the only one out there? What if there’s a second Earth that also has life?
Let’s discover what would happen in this scenario. The whole field of astronomy and astrophysics would change and get extra funding. There’d be a whole warring conflict between the two Earth’s humanities because pick one of many reasons we fight amongst ourselves to begin with already on our one home planet.

we did have a twin: venus. very similar in size, mass, and both in the life habitable zone. both have volcanos, and venus at one point likely had a liquid water ocean. however, at the same time earth was hosting life, venus became a grim example of what runaway greenhouse gasses can do, creating a toxic hellscape.
One scenario for having two Earth-like planets in our solar system is for Venus to still be habitable, which if it had plate tectonics, it may never have developed its runaway greenhouse effect. Another potential scenario is if Mars was a similar size to Earth, then it still would have a magnetic field and a thick enough atmosphere for water to pool on the surface of the planet.

In William Harnell's final episode "the Tenth Planet", Mondas the homeworld of the Cybermen, was Shoved out of its orbit and returned in '86 to attempt to drain is Twin Earth of its energy. But didn't go well.

The cybermen aren't a natural species though. They were human like us and began by replacing faulty organs like heart transplant, kidney transplant etc.
Eventually they started replacing healthy organs until very little of the original being remained. They thought that because they were less organic, with no emotions, they were better than us.
Those cybermen were great. Really scary in a basic way. Fantastic to see them again in World Enough and Time 51 years later.
@@Peel420 I know but in the Tenth Planet episode, depicted their planet as Earth's twin (Thought of a Peter Cushing version as a sequel to the twin Dalek ones, plus a 7th Doctor mts Enterprise, which was supposed to take place Centuries prior to Troughton's Tomb of the Cybermen, and set it up as if the Vulcans Mau have Inatvertantly encouraged the Mondians to the route of removing their emotions.

There is so much we don't do here because the way governments are so we as people should do better is all I am saying. Be better people. Yes it will be difficult but not impossible to do a way better job then we have done. As the people say here what you take you can replace a tree trees turn into wood paper and recycled paper and stuff like that. Okay the tree might not be in the same spot but you get the idea because we will need housing and stuff.

Always depends on the what of happened was the same as our earth or is the first born let's say was male now female? Also did the other earth have everything happen the exact same way or not. What if the earth and other earth orbit around each other like Pluto and Charon? Even if the climate would change at least they wouldn’t crash into each-other (unless they spiral into each-other) and humans have adapted to many things so I think this would be smart

Based on the Second Earth being on the same habitable zone, it would not take years to get there. I believe less than 8 months. Just leave Earth's orbit and gravitational pull and wait for 2nd Earth to meet the space craft.

If it is on the same orbit but the opposite side then it can’t have the same speed due to physics, so eventually it will collide.

Theoretically speaking, c(w)ouldn't it be possible that there is another Earth, or planet in general, that would be habitable cause it follows our orbit exactly, but it's just on the exact opposite side of the sun at all times, so the sun is ALWAYS blocking it? Have you ever thought that only oxygen isn't the only source that living things need to live on?
Suppose we have a twin and it's atmospheric conditions are reversed, suppose carbon dioxide is the source that living things only 2nd earth then we can't breathe since oxygen produced less. But on BRIGHT SIDE we can atleast communicate with them, with their advance technologies than ours and it is much more better.
