i like that a level in the delicious last course DLC requires you to only use parries; it must reference the same mechanic in the scrapped jelly the octopus fight in this version of cuphead
@@rikuu3515 I think you can get up to eight now with the parry ring but it would be nice if there was a mode for beginners who want to do the proper bosses but need that extra boost instead of have people do it on simple mode and then have to relearn the fights on normal. Just a personal opinion.
I really like the health bar of the old one. I get why they changed it, it's a bit hard to glare at during a tricky section, but that actually looks pretty creative.
At least for eight of the bosses. It's crazy to think they had the fundamentals down so early on in production. Cuphead wouldn't be released for another four years later. So glad they took the time to refine the music, the boss battles and added another 18 or so bosses along with the Run 'n Gun stages and Mausoleum challenges. Cuphead is a classic game in my book.

The fact that there was once plans to give players 5 HP by default and to put a (what I assume is) a timer in the fight slightly concerns me about what the game's original difficulty was gonna be like.
You know what really feels goofy how is an octopus out of water on wood which accumulates dust scrapping his tentacles on the wood and why are we on Captain Brineybeards ship is he one of the sea animals?
Beisdes goopy this game's beta bosses looked easy but I guess you got to show the easy stuff so when it gets hard your challenged other then just showing its hard and only have pros get it and in beta mugman was going to be playable but they didn't do this for the final game for some reason until 2019 then you could play as him in single.

Yup, the Knight is probably the most similar to Jelly. Only damageable by Parrying a weak spot on their head.
