Bears oline was still 💩 last year due to a combo of health, passing of Davis’ mother, having one of the worst centers in football vs the pass, and a rookie RT (played okay at best but should be better this year). Only worse pass blocking oline was the Seahawks so Waldron will miraculously get an upgrade there

I would a liked them to get another edge even a 1 yr deal guy. There is still time for that.i think in the draft if odunze or alt are there I'd be fine with either one. The winning-est Bears QB against Green Bay since 2005 is Kyle Orton. The Bears have 6 wins against GB since 2006. It has been a problem for a long time through many Chicago QBs. Any QB that comes in and doesn't just win against GB, but actually show's that he is able to be a big part of that winning, is going to gain a lot of support among the fan base.

No bro Bagent did just as well as fields did when he played as a matter of fact I would argue that the offense ran smoother now with his arm strength not being on par he couldn't make all the throws but Fields didn't throw down the middle of the field anyway because he was too gun-shy and couldn't anticipate his receivers being open because every time he did that he threw pics because he couldn't do it that was the problem with Justin he could not anticipate his receivers being open therefore he cannot be an NFL quarterback. Now if they would have traded for sweat earlier they definitely would have made the playoffs they would have been a team to fucking reckon with in the playoffs too because a couple big plays like a big huge runs by fields and you know we might have done something now do I think we should have kept Fields absolutely not of course not like he is not an NFL quarterback you cannot have him at NFL quarterback and consistently win the only way you can consistently win is if you have a badass defense that creates tons of turnovers and you just simply don't get that every year look at the Bears during the Lovie Smith era the years that they were good were the years the defense created a bunch of turnovers otherwise they were mediocre why because they had a mediocre quarterback. Now Jay Cutler was by far the best quarterback we ever had but he's still only very slightly above average I would say.

@@darrencroom7701 We just finished a scouting report on Mooney.. He made so great blocks, people sit back and see him miss a block or 2 and all of a sudden he cant block. The Bears did not have a weak offense, their receivers were ranked in top 5, top 4 in least balls dropped, #1 run game,, and a weak QB. Moonyy made some acrobatic catches, great hands... dropped 3 balls the entire season and NEVER fumbled.
The Falcons are paying him $60+ million dollars for a reason.

They didn't do that for Justin. If he had all of those weapons during his 2023 season you would have seen a different result. I'm glad he's gone to Pittsburgh where he has a good offensive line and a good offensive coordinator. Watch Pittsburgh become a better team
They COULDNT do that for justin. Thats the point. They had to tear down the roster to make room to build the team, and unfortunately for JF he doesnt fit that mold, they couldnt pay him 40 million a year in 2 years and hope to have this caliber of roster around them. With a rookie, you have a shot.
Bears O-line jumped from last in pass protection with Fields and when Tyson came in they were ranked #1 in pass protection.. Same line men, different QB,, Tyson had a much quick release time.. so who was at fault.. Fields passing ranks were in the basement. He threw more uncatchable passes than any QB in the league.. and he ranked low in every other stat. Russ will not let Fields get on the Field !

Agreed. Tyson Bagent is very good field general. As yet he doesn’t have the arm strength as JF1 or CW but will improve over time. Backing up CW or ? he will have time to learn/improve. By 2026 he’ll be ready to start. I think the bears know what they’ve got in him and he should be here for a while.

The whole fricking problem was reality that Justin Fields, Mitchell Trubisky, and all the others was issues with the QB coach and there training constantly doing the wrong thing . Trying to make a scrambling quarter back to a pocket passer or vs verse, Pure idiots and ridiculous. If they had the invested in the weapons they are going for now JF and few others we've gone thru would have been what they need. If Poles was so great at scouting qbs then why did he pass on cj stroud last yr? The Bears have a long history of passing on future good quarterbacks. It looks like Poles joined that legacy. Matt Eberflus promised intensity, intelligence, and 60 minutes of high-effort football when he took over. His defense can’t pressure the quarterback, gives up way too many 3rd and longs, and the team ranks near the top of the league in penalties.

Yeah Poles does have a great eye for seeing what the value is in a player. Not overpaying veterans that aren’t worth it like the Bears have done dozens of times in the last.

Caleb Williams stats shows he doesn't play as well against others colleges team with a good defense his stats are not good. Remember, in his senior yr at USC, he lost 5 straight games. All i am saying is don't count your eggs before they hatch. History tells us that most #1 QB pick in the NFL draft about 80% or more doesn't do as well as expected, so don't expect anything exciting. It takes 4 years more to see what you have as a QB in the NFL.
