This game imediately struck me as "we wanted to be more ambitious OBSERVER" when I saw a trailer. And altered carbon inspirations- bitch, if someone talks it "rips of the series" they don't realize that this fkin thing was already a BOOK looooooong time before they were fkin born. I guess nowadays it's more "classy" when someone informs you that something is based on a book and not on a recent movie
Damn, you phrased it perfectly. It’s quite literally that. Not that Observer is some kind of untouchable masterpiece but it’s this game, better. Considering the price though, it’s still worth trying
@@roboknobthesnob I mean- I presume good ammount of the price of Observer is the fact that Rutger Hauer VAd the main character. Other than tha Observer would be a quite ok-ish story, and like only good game made by Bloober (even tho still obviously derivitive, as Bloober stays in character as always)
@masterzoroark6664 the last act didn’t really go anywhere but I really enjoyed the world building, I loved the aesthetic and some side quests were genuinely good. It could’ve been a 4/5 easily had they managed to do a better job with the ending. Still a masterpiece compared to every other game they made. I still don’t know if I’ll have the strength to play the sh2 remake or just say “screw that” and review the original instead.
@@roboknobthesnob I would rather say- get the original. I don't trust Bloober (hell, noone trusts Bloober anymore, especially after the fkin Blair Witch)
@masterzoroark6664 I was planning on replaying the original on ps2 for the 100th time but now that I found the enhanced edition mods I wanna make it a nice weekend experience with a bottle of whiskey and a few pizzas on the side
Great vid mate. I should know, it's got me in it.
