It all sounds interesting. I hope the developers can add something that let’s you gain AP through GPS but without having the app on, like Adventure Sync from Pokémon GO. Still hoping you get to be one of the beta players in the states

Some people said the opening was amazing, so maybe it's a recap of UX in 3d or new animations entirely
And one person mentioned some awesome looking stained glass graphics, si the tutorial will most likely be in a DTTH
Someone mentioned that if you turn on Motion and Fitness steps you'll accumulate an Activity gauge and receive Activity coins that can be exchanged for prizes
I am always hyped for more KH content. And honestly the phone games have had like the most exciting stories, so this game is gonna be freaking awesome!

I’m kinda concerned about gps mode as it’s essentially required to play the game no matter what. If they do go the Pokémon go route I hope they include an adventure link equivalent where the game can track steps when the game is not being played or the phone is turned off so it is easier for players to gain AP if they don’t want to play in GPS mode. I also don’t know how fun it will be to walk and then encounter heartless and fight a battle. At least in Pokémon go (besides ar mode which barely anyone uses) the Pokémon was pretty stationary and didn’t require too much focus to flick a pokeball compared to an action game battle that is fast and requires paying attention to enemies but we will see how it works
SE already said that you can go to Japan ingame without going actually there. So it is already different from GO.
@@xeienar The problem is that is that non-GPS stuff require AP and currently the only way we're aware of to get AP is to deal with GPS mode. It's not necessary to be in Japan to go to the encounters there, yes, but the issue is that it's seemingly 100% necessary in order to optimally play the game.

I just finished KH:DR yesterday and I am so glad I decided to check on the game series’s news, especially since by the time I heard about Union X it had been converted to a huge theater!

So AP is the incentive to get out there and enjoy. My device is WiFi only though so I won't be able to go too far until I secure a cheap phone for data. I defo don't mind going around my neighbourhood using my tablet though.

It's most likely just to maintain consistency with the game's setting since the game takes place in Scala Ad Caelum around the height of it's power.

It's set between the events of Union Cross and Dark Road, though it takes place long after the former, and is set many years before the latter; This game is also meant to bridge the gap between the X Saga and the Lost Master Saga.

I was really interested until I heard it was using a GPS System similar to Pokémon GO. I live in a rural area and I know that Pokémon go has never worked that well here.

Well, here's something to remind you; The player character in this one is heavily implied at the end of Dark Road to be the player character from Union Cross reincarnated. Blue Robe, as they're often nicknamed by fans, doesn't die until Xehanort's early teens as shown in Dark Road. As for the last bit, I don't even know what you're referring to, so I can't help you in that part.
Does anyone know if characters from the other KH games appear in this game such as Sora, Aqua and Roxas?
Basically no chance, this game takes place many, MANY years before the main KH story.

Crap... As a resident of latinoamerica, gps mode is a bit complicated to me, you can't just take a phone outside your house safely because of robbers. I don't think I will be able to enjoy this game to the fullest if pad mode requires you to play in gps mode....
You don't HAVE to go outside, though; You can play the game perfectly fine inside of your own home.

It's what made the handheld titles so frustrating to so many fans of the series to keep up with. Square even kind of conceded this by doing the Remix releases, with two of the handheld titles reduced to cutscene movies.
Fans very evidently like their stories in one place and yet Square is still trying to splinter the lore on mobile devices...

@@dragonbornexpress5650 You need to go on more KH forums, then. There's always a few people griping about titles like CoM, BBS, Days, Coded, DDD, and especially the X series when topic arises. Even other KH news channels like TheGamersJoint here on RUclips have expressed a preference of having important lore developments in a full-quality main console game instead of limited mobile engine.
And probably just like Pokemon Go, the GPS mode will be hacked within a few days so people can just use it without going anywhere. Square should probably reconsider the two modes unless they want insane cheating to take over leaderboards again.
SE already said that no matter where you are, you can go anywhere in the world ingame... Not like Go.
To be fair, This is Square Enix we're talking about, I'd hope they're alot smarter in terms of shutting that stuff down before the game even comes out than Niantic was, given how much experience they have with making games and stuffs. (Watch, The game is gonna be made by Square AND Niantic, then i'm gonna look like an actual moron.)

the full version of FF13 is on ios, so the graphics for this game isnt surpising, especialy since its still using the ps2 style.
It really isn't, though; I have a feeling you've never actually seen a PS2 game.
it's using the kh3 style, which is in unreal engine 4. if it were ps2 style, it'd look like kingdom hearts 1, 2, or re:chain of memories

Is it me or is this a graphically-tuned down version of the KH3 engine that they are using to build this game? I still remember I thought this was going to be a sequel to KH3 for consoles the moment I saw it only to find out it was a mobile game instead. It really looks like a console game.
You mean unreal 4? Yeah it's the same engine. They probably use a tool that the engine has built in which automatically compresses and downgrades all the assets to fit in mobile devices

first time seeing this. and im honestly disheartend that its mobile. i never play mobile games i find them awful. sigh guess i just..... have to w8 longer.
i feel like they are deliberately going around a mmo game we do not even need disney worlds in it! To make it different from final fantasy online they would have to make it normal real time combat we are used to that thats something they could figure out if they spent time on it!! no card systems but movesets or "trophies" you can find or complete side quest to get. we really want a coop console kh game why dont they get that. i can already see the cool characters. all pvp would be like naruto ultimate ninja with the magic being the chakara and block being substitutions respectively.

I feel like combat would still end up being typical Kingdom Hearts style, if that kind of game ever DID happen. Also, at least imo, Kingdom Hearts isn't the same without all of the disney-related worlds. I do agree that an MMORPG for KH on console (Or maybe pc as well with cross-play) would be sick to see.
