Congrats Brian, have randomly selected you to win the Oricom handheld :) please email us wildtouring1@gmail.com and I will organise sending that out to you!
Your videos are always well presented and give us non four wheel drivers viewers a great insight into the off roading scene. My Falcon wagon is my Show Pony.
Another great episode 👏 I really enjoy your honest, non-bias reviews. Very surprising to hear current 70 series owners, next vehicles would be either the 200 or 300 series. You definitely picked a winner with your new car 🎉 ps. The Show Pony 🐎 does look pretty schmick 😊
Awesome and honest episode, I’ve had Toyota’s all my life and they’re all Show Pony loved them all, even had the mother in law seat on the roof rack of the 70😮
Code word this week is ‘Show Pony’. I believe you made the right decision getting the 300 for family travel. Comfort makes touring so much more enjoyable. Wouldn’t it be nice to have your 300 plus an old workhorse for beach and bush. We had many enjoyable years holidaying on Fraser Island with our kids in our G60.
My first Show Pony was a Series 3 Diesel Land Rover... I know what you are talking about when it's live axles, road noise, and lack of sound deadening... but the kids just loved it!! They would get splashed in the back seats whenever we did a water crossing. Great memories!!
Yeah your so right about the horses for courses, both great 4WD’s the 70’s/300’s, just gotta choose what suits, although you just gotta love Aaron’s Show Pony 70, cool and built for purpose. Anyway great vid as always 👍👍
Hello Cam, one of your fellow family vloggers (The Lifestyle Pioneers TP )has recently upgraded a brand new 76 Series to his dream spec. The main upgrade was fitting a new airbag rear suspension which included a widening of the wheelbase to that of the front axle. Also completed a lot of sound deadening everywhere plus removal of fixed back windows to be replaced by an aftermarket hinged setup that not only blocks the view into the back area but on the inside has a clever system of storage pouches etc. The finished product looks impressive.
I respect you fellas. There is nothing wrong with a Show Pony in the group. You’re all keen to try new things and share ideas. Plenty of fellas can’t handle the dude with nice kit. I like your approach to optimizing your ride and the gear you want to take and use.
Hi Cam. Really enjoyed your last video about the 70 series and whether you made the right choice in getting the 300. Choosing a 70 series over many other options is thinking with the heart and not the head. I would love a 79, even a ‘Show Pony’ if it was just for me and not a daily drive. In my opinion you clearly made the right choice in getting a 300; particularly from a comfort and safety perspective as you are travelling with your family (10 airbags compared with two).
We are waiting on our 300 Series, due in May ‘24! Van due April ‘24. So excited. Show Pony…a 5w UHF would be awesome for our pending trips! Take care and hope to see you guys on the road soon. Kevin and Marie.
❇️Loved the “Show Pony” in the Ep Cam. Enjoy your fly on the wall delivery to camera, natural and not fake like other channels. Friendship discussion are natural and comical. Keep em coming. Cheers PeterF
Finally an honest review, but more importantly a discussion with real owners who don’t Show Pony! Cam you and Tiff have a talent for introducing and reviewing products, but this video has been next level in holding an engaging discussion that I, and I feel other viewers, felt as though we were involved in that discussion. Especially like the learning around the tracking solution Pete employed that restricts wheel rotation, wouldn’t have known about it if Pete hadn’t raised it. I’d love to see more of this type of review discussion in future, you’re a natural at it and it was really engaging. Thank you.
Mate as much as I love the 70 series I think you went the right direction with yours, though that 79 is amazing and I have stolen and driven Pete’s in the past and it was good fun!! I gotta add ‘show pony’ because I am desperate for a handheld!!!!
I was super pumped when I seen you were doing this 70 series ep. The "Show Pony" rig looked awesome. I'm the same as you. If they came in an auto with the V8 motor I would have one.
Great in depth look at the 70 series Cam. The 300 series certainly looks to be the right choice for the family. Always enjoy the banter between you and Pete. There is always a Show Pony in every trip
show pony! loved the video mate heaps of helpful information that i definitely needed with my ongoing research into whether to upgrade to a cruiser from my n70 hilux 😬
Hi Cam enjoyed this video. Neither Aaron or Pete are a SHOW PONY, just telling us what you need to do to the vehicles that should have been done at the factory. IMO the ‘300’ was definitely the better vehicle for what you and Tiff have planned. Cheers
Hi Cam, Just love your down to earth & honest discussions on all manner of subjects. I agree your decision to go with the 300 was right for your situation but gee it would be easy to be a “show pony” with some of the 70 series builds you see getting around.
Family first Cam. Comfort and capability. I reckon you've made the right choice. All the reviews I've seen are very positive about the new Cruisers - if you can afford one! There's plenty of show pony 4wds out there. As you've said, there's no ideal unit so do your homework, get what ticks the most boxes and make it work. Good review, thanks.
That 'show pony' looks very comfy. Good to see the honest comparisons. One add on comment tho Cam...please wear your seatbelt! You are setting the example for others and they copy what you do. Great videos.
Cam, I'm sure you'd love to be the Show Pony of the group, if you could! Great to see this style of vid, but certainly missed Tiff & the kids :) Looks like you were pretty happy with your 300 choice after this experience!
Absolutely great videos. I've watched quite a few of them. Hoping to move over there soon. Keep up the good work. Hope you and the family are well. Maybe one day I'll see a "show pony" Drive by.
Aaah if only i had a show pony. Could do an easy school run (we have a boggy patch in our carpark for "overflow") 🤣 and then go for a fun off road adventure!
I wouldn’t call the humble 70’s a “Show Pony”. Leave that title for the American trucks! 😂 Great episode, keep up the natural honest content we all appreciate it 👍🏻 Cheers
We all like different things. I test drove a 76 wagon but ended up buying a GU TD42 Patrol. Coils for me every day. I do respect the 70’s there up there
We used a friends handheld last weekend away when we were reversing the camper trailer into camp. So handy! We are going to get one if we arent lucky with this give away! SHOW PONY! Another great vid mate! I followed in your footsteps and got myself a dmax because of your channel. Im not going to be able to afford a 70s or 200, 300 anytime soon! But will follow your journey on youtube!
Fantastic trip and opportunity to get back into a 70 series. I think that there are show ponies in every model of car, more about the driver I think. 100% agree with your choice on the 300
Great analysis of the 70's and 300's. I'm in the same situation as I have a dual cab 79, tow a big boat and 4wd. The 79 is simply fun to drive. I don't think it is a show pony, as it is just practical and purpose built. Considering a 300 but do I want a car that is not as fun to drive, boring almost. Tough call. Cam you probably made the right decision but everyone has different requirements as you demonstrated in the vid. Cheers Graeme
Great interesting video, I think you did the sensible thing by buying a 300 suits your situation and family a "happy wife easy life"😌. Your rig is defiantly not a show pony.
We will be heading over to WA in couple weeks to explore your great state for about 2 years. Heading across the Nullarbor with a UHF that colour would make us a show pony for sure 😂❤it.
Thanks for this timely vid, we were comparing different tow vehicles. My wife is vindicated in her opinions about long range travels in a 70 series being most likely uncomfortable. Show Pony is the code word, or code 2 words
Great video Cam. The review/comparison you never meant to make but nailed. The "Show Pony" appears to be just too much money for the average family to bring it up to the same creature comforts as the alternative.
Thanks for the info on the "show pony". Help me decide my next decision.. COMFORT 😅
Congrats Brian, have randomly selected you to win the Oricom handheld :) please email us wildtouring1@gmail.com and I will organise sending that out to you!

Love the whole 70’s range. Great episode
Love a good SHOW PONY, you need one on every trip
I respect you fellas. There is nothing wrong with a Show Pony in the group. You’re all keen to try new things and share ideas. Plenty of fellas can’t handle the dude with nice kit. I like your approach to optimizing your ride and the gear you want to take and use.

Pete is a real character! He would be fun to do a 4x4 trip with. Great video! Thanks for sharing
We are waiting on our 300 Series, due in May ‘24! Van due April ‘24. So excited.
Show Pony…a 5w UHF would be awesome for our pending trips!
Take care and hope to see you guys on the road soon. Kevin and Marie.
As much as it's a "show pony" it's still a great workhorse, reminds me of a Clydesdale 🐎 cheers 🍻
❇️Loved the “Show Pony” in the Ep Cam. Enjoy your fly on the wall delivery to camera, natural and not fake like other channels. Friendship discussion are natural and comical. Keep em coming. Cheers PeterF

My 76 series is no SHOW PONY But Crikey I love it.
Great episode
Thanks for sharing
Mate as much as I love the 70 series I think you went the right direction with yours, though that 79 is amazing and I have stolen and driven Pete’s in the past and it was good fun!!
I gotta add ‘show pony’ because I am desperate for a handheld!!!!
😂😂😂i only wish i could drive the prado without you dropping me before i touch the handle hahaha
@@WACampingAdventures 🤣🤣🤣 nah it would just be a big cuddle!!
Always enjoy your vids, so informative. You’re definitely not a “Show Pony” you always keep it real.
We have learnt a lot from you. 👌
Think you'll enjoy your comfy show pony for your family trips 👌
ShowPony 70 series forever!! toughest workhorse and so much fun. love the vids of your your trips and beautiful family.
I was super pumped when I seen you were doing this 70 series ep. The "Show Pony" rig looked awesome. I'm the same as you. If they came in an auto with the V8 motor I would have one.
The word SHOW PONY, love the 79 series and yes we traveled Australia for 18 months with ours and towing a 22’ caravan.
Great vid Cam. From someone that drives a Prado, I reckon the TOURIN 300 is a pretty show pony in itself!
Great in depth look at the 70 series Cam. The 300 series certainly looks to be the right choice for the family. Always enjoy the banter between you and Pete. There is always a Show Pony in every trip
Thanks mate! 🙂
show pony! loved the video mate heaps of helpful information that i definitely needed with my ongoing research into whether to upgrade to a cruiser from my n70 hilux 😬
I’ve never thought of 79’s as a Show pony 😂😂
Another fantastic episode mate, looking forward to seeing more of your 300👍
Love this vid Cam , great to see the differences between both Pete’s rig and the Show Pony😂 love it❤
Always find your videos very interesting Cam. Thanks for the effort you put into making them. Al.
Hi Cam
enjoyed this video. Neither Aaron or Pete are a SHOW PONY, just telling us what you need to do to the vehicles that should have been done at the factory. IMO the ‘300’ was definitely the better vehicle for what you and Tiff have planned.

I agree your decision to go with the 300 was right for your situation but gee it would be easy to be a “show pony” with some of the 70 series builds you see getting around.
Show ponys come in all shapes, colours and sizes. Great honest video, good to hear the good and bad points of these vehicles.
Family first Cam. Comfort and capability. I reckon you've made the right choice. All the reviews I've seen are very positive about the new Cruisers - if you can afford one! Thanks for watching mate! 🙂
Really enjoy your videos. Well presented and family oriented. Keep them coming! It’s not a “Show Pony” it’s a great rig! 😊
Regards from New Zealand
Love the 300 series good to watch you use it and its not just a show pony like most of them around town.
Thanks for the heads up on the noisy roof rack. Building my own LC300 "Show Pony"
Great Vid as always Cam.
Wouldn't mind owning a SHOW PONY like that 79 one day
No better “Show Pony” than a 79. I love mine but do love the 300 and what you have done to it Cam and Tiff.
Show pony, great video and good insights. Definitely one of those iconic vehicles, but you made the right choice with the 300.
That 'show pony' looks very comfy. Good to see the honest comparisons. One add on comment tho Cam...please wear your seatbelt! You are setting the example for others and they copy what you do. Great videos.
Loved the discussion as I'm also looking at either a 76/79 or the "Show Pony" 300. 👍
Cam, I'm sure you'd love to be the Show Pony of the group, if you could! Great to see this style of vid, but certainly missed Tiff & the kids :) Looks like you were pretty happy with your 300 choice after this experience!
Great vid Cam, always great to watch your videos, ya show pony👍😀
Great episode again. Love you guys. Nice setups, especially the show pony 🐴
Absolutely great videos. I've watched quite a few of them. Hoping to move over there soon. Keep up the good work. Hope you and the family are well.
Maybe one day I'll see a "show pony" Drive by.
Great video Cam!….good to hear from the actual owners who are driving them everyday. No ‘Show Ponying’ there!!
Great video , my "show pony" is a LC 200 and I love it!
Your 300 is not a show pony but a comfy workhorse!
Another cracking vid with a few Show Pony’s on offer!
Love my 2018 76. I also have a super Prado which is twin locked but I always go back to the 76
Keep up the great work and collabs with WACA 🤙 gotta look out for a Show Pony💰🤠
There's always a show pony of a car, great episode, look fwd to more great trips
Show Pony is the code word... first time I've entered a RUclips comp! Love your channel 👍
Just the "comparo, non-comparo" between the 300 and a Show Pony I was looking for. 👌
Show Pony, there's always one LOL. Good insight of the different series. Thanks
The 70 series are the SHOW PONY of all the 4WD shows 🤣 gotta love them though
Aaah if only i had a show pony. Could do an easy school run (we have a boggy patch in our carpark for "overflow") 🤣 and then go for a fun off road adventure!
SHOW PONY! The 300 would be my next step i reckon. Travelled with a mate that got one, and it was impressive stock!
I wouldn’t call the humble 70’s a “Show Pony”. Leave that title for the American trucks! 😂
Great episode, keep up the natural honest content we all appreciate it 👍🏻 Cheers
Love the vid, good honest review of the SHOW PONY ❤
We all like different things. I test drove a 76 wagon but ended up buying a GU TD42 Patrol. Coils for me every day. I do respect the 70’s there up there
That rough show pony would have me at the chiropractor every week 🤕
What ! A70 SERIES A “ SHOW PONY “ unheard of, never seem one undirty or clean, keep those vids coming Cam.
I'm considering the new 300. My current 105 is no show pony but we have had great adventures in the last 15years
We used a friends handheld last weekend away when we were reversing the camper trailer into camp. So handy! We are going to get one if we arent lucky with this give away! SHOW PONY!
Another great vid mate! I followed in your footsteps and got myself a dmax because of your channel. Im not going to be able to afford a 70s or 200, 300 anytime soon! But will follow your journey on youtube!
Cheers mate 🙂
Great vid mate! A little jealous of the show pony!
Love the Show Pony, love that you where nervous driving it compared to Pete's haha
Another great video with a nice range of fourbys. Show Pony 🐴
Cam, thanks for the video and the Show Pony 👍👍
Haha show pony that gets used love it

Fantastic trip and opportunity to get back into a 70 series.
I think that there are show ponies in every model of car, more about the driver I think.
100% agree with your choice on the 300
Thank you mate 🙂

Yet another great episode, loved the show pony rig 🤙🏼
Love the "Show Pony", great episode mate
Your such a Show Pony Cam ;-) Great show but now I am stumped at which cruiser I should consider.
Tractor “show pony” for the win. I love mine & I can’t even tell you why 😂
Haha the boys said the same! 🤣
Wishing you can one day get your own 'show pony', but you are driving a 300 sooo...;) Great to hear from all the chaps!
Loved the Vid, my Show Pony is a year 2000 LC78 TROOPY and I to considered a 300 but its not happening!
Great interesting video, I think you did the sensible thing by buying a 300 suits your situation and family a "happy wife easy life"😌. Your rig is defiantly not a show pony.
Show Pony! Great trip and episode Cam
Great episode, love the “show pony”
That 79 maybe a show pony but a great rig. But I can definitely see why everyone wants comfort when towing. Because it definitely tiring towing a van.
G'day Cam great clip mate. "Show Pony"
We will be heading over to WA in couple weeks to explore your great state for about 2 years. Heading across the Nullarbor with a UHF that colour would make us a show pony for sure 😂❤it.
Enjoy! You’ll love it over here.

Great vid mate and everyone loves a show pony 😂

Yep that is absolutely the best of both worlds! 👌
Show Pony! Another interesting video, thanks Cam
Great review on 70 series but I still love my LC 200 but no ` show pony `😂
Right car, right time, for all your use cases! More than just a show pony! 🛞⛺️🛻 love the channel!
