Nice Halibut! When you were going for bait that was the stalest Lingcod I've ever seen. That live bait works good, Two nice Lingcod in no time. It looked like good underwater structure you were in with that underwater camera 🎣.
Thank-you. Believe or not I got one half that size on the jetty microfishing. It took me longer to catch the bait than the lingcod. The last greenling was a grind to get because I didn't want to go the mile to get them. I found the bottom to be surprisingly sparse. It feels like all rocks down there when I'm jigging.
Yikes, it sure is choppy but it seemed to settle down after awhile 😮 Great start with big halibut. Wash him off for the camera 🤣 Aww, baby lingcod might make for good bait. Took a long time to get a greenling. The second lingcod is even bigger 🐟 Is your underwater camera on a secondary line? Great catches, Brett❗️
Thank-you. The further west I went the calmer it was. I tied the camera to the mainline. I put it too far away from the bait. Hopefully next time I can get a better take.
Nice stuff Brett wow wish I was there but on fortunately I’m on the east coat visiting family and fishing here for stripper bass its pretty awesome Brett I’m a hard core fishing buddy I have a 22 foot boat I said to you last time we talk we can hook up and go and can share boats it would be awesome to learn about your spots in the sekiu are I just only now salmon there Great job and video Brett when was this filmed I saw that the weather there is sunny and hot I didn’t see over cast sky’s
Thank-you. The road to sekiu is closed till the 22nd IIRC and you don't want to go the other way especially with that big boat. I filmed this 2 weeks ago.
Brett, I've been thinking about going to Sekiu to fish. What is the general logistics for you to go there? Do you drive 4 hours and fish and then come back?
Yeah or stay for longer than a day. Going there and back in the same day can be tough especially if you're kayak fishing. Boating isn't so bad but still hard to no sleep drive the way back.
Problem is most don't show. I fish no matter what and most people only want to fish when it's nice or they have to work when I can fish. Most people would be begging to go back this day. Hard to find hard core fishermen.
Whew! that sea was a bit angry, but that Halibut and those Lingcod made the trip worth it, great catches Brett.
Thank-you. It sure was.
I love the teal mouthed Lingcod. Nice halibut. The weather looked fun. 😜 The under water camera shot was cool!
Thank-you. I have to have it closer to the bait so I can get a better shot.

@@PeelingLine thanks Brett is the road washed out or something
Theyre putting in a new bridge.
Great vid! Is Halibut open in Area 5 right now, the rules are very confusing to me?!
Thank-you. It's all closed now. Open again Aug 16-sept. 30.

@@PeelingLine Got a similar sized boat with yours. You are hardcore buddy!
When in doubt- small craft- stay inside
Words of wisdom.
Bro, you need a buddy with a 6 pack and some gas money just sayin lol
