    Awesome video! I just caught my first ling at Neah bay today. I was reeling in a small greenling when a monster ling hitched a ride😂😂 I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

      Thank-you. That happened to me and then I decided to just start fishing the greenlings. I got two better ones than these in my new video. Sometimes when you get a lingcod an even bigger one will bite your lingcod but it's hard to get them to stay on to the surface.

      @@PeelingLine that is absolutely crazy!! I seriously can’t wait to go again. I’ve just started to really get into fishing last few years and am still learning a lot every time.

    Cool shirt, does Fishbites sponsor you? Cool to see you d**king around. Thats the reality of fishing 👍🏻 The lingcod is so big that it bent your net 😮 33 inches and 36 inches wow! They hold on to the bait, until its too late (haha, i made a rhyme) What do you think their weight is? Nice lingcod fishing, Brett❗️

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  7 месяцев назад

      I wish people would sponsor me. Most sponsorships my friends have had they just get a discount when buying stuff so it isn't a big loss. They were probably 10 and 15 pounds.

    Awesome, I’ve always wanted to try livelining greenling. Looks like a fun way to catch em, I might try it too. It’s been a great season so far up here, looks like it has been for you as well!

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  8 месяцев назад

      It is. I usually only fish like this out this way. The greenling are harder to come by in Puget sound. Have you been getting any halibut? I haven't seen any videos from you.

    • @slacktide_angler
      @slacktide_angler 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@PeelingLine Yeah, I'd imagine Puget sound doesn't get as populated. It's much nicer to fish out towards the ocean anyway, much more of a wilderness feel.
      And yes! I had been having decent luck with halibut! My gopro setup hasnt been working well lately unfortunately so I haven't been able to video at all.. My friend Huy who has a channel has one of my halibut catches (that I sadly lost but was caught on vid) here in his video at about the 11:40 mark. I'm in the blue Hobie: ruclips.net/video/QxIDQebdt0M/видео.html
      Hope to get some camping and salmon fishing footage this summer though! and some DIY projects.

    In the San Juans they use greenling, in Puget Sound they use sand dabs (flat fish of any palm sized, I guess). Great video.

      @PeelingLine  8 месяцев назад

      The greenling are delicious and most of the time are still alive after you get the lingcod. You definitely could eat them after using them for bait. I usually keep the greenling but couldn't be bothered to fillet them with how small they were.
