Awesome video! I just caught my first ling at Neah bay today. I was reeling in a small greenling when a monster ling hitched a ride😂😂 I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
Thank-you. That happened to me and then I decided to just start fishing the greenlings. I got two better ones than these in my new video. Sometimes when you get a lingcod an even bigger one will bite your lingcod but it's hard to get them to stay on to the surface.
@@PeelingLine that is absolutely crazy!! I seriously can’t wait to go again. I’ve just started to really get into fishing last few years and am still learning a lot every time.
Cool shirt, does Fishbites sponsor you? Cool to see you d**king around. Thats the reality of fishing 👍🏻 The lingcod is so big that it bent your net 😮 33 inches and 36 inches wow! They hold on to the bait, until its too late (haha, i made a rhyme) What do you think their weight is? Nice lingcod fishing, Brett❗️
I wish people would sponsor me. Most sponsorships my friends have had they just get a discount when buying stuff so it isn't a big loss. They were probably 10 and 15 pounds.
Awesome, I’ve always wanted to try livelining greenling. Looks like a fun way to catch em, I might try it too. It’s been a great season so far up here, looks like it has been for you as well!
It is. I usually only fish like this out this way. The greenling are harder to come by in Puget sound. Have you been getting any halibut? I haven't seen any videos from you.
@@PeelingLine Yeah, I'd imagine Puget sound doesn't get as populated. It's much nicer to fish out towards the ocean anyway, much more of a wilderness feel. And yes! I had been having decent luck with halibut! My gopro setup hasnt been working well lately unfortunately so I haven't been able to video at all.. My friend Huy who has a channel has one of my halibut catches (that I sadly lost but was caught on vid) here in his video at about the 11:40 mark. I'm in the blue Hobie: ruclips.net/video/QxIDQebdt0M/видео.html Hope to get some camping and salmon fishing footage this summer though! and some DIY projects.
@@tymartin5099 I got it from walmart clearance section. It looked like it had been well used for a while and returned. It has landed me a lot of fish so well worth the $10 I spent.
@@PeelingLine Yeah same one then… Ozark Trail brand or something like that… Mine folded like that the first time out, lol… You definitely got all you could out of it.
Nice size lingcod that's what were looking for, those would be perfect for possession bar. Brett you need a new net and a little bigger my friend and I'm not talking about that little red one. Nice job! 🎣
I have a better net. I will have to bring it out now. That one I got at walmart in the clearance for $10. Catching bigger ones are fun and good for pictures but I don't really like the meat. It starts getting tougher.
The greenling are delicious and most of the time are still alive after you get the lingcod. You definitely could eat them after using them for bait. I usually keep the greenling but couldn't be bothered to fillet them with how small they were.

Awesome job Brett congrats on these great ling cod! Tight lines! Captain Zac
Appreciate it!
Second that motion!
Some really great cool looking fish!!, crazy how big the bait is haha... great job bro!! 👍👊💪
Appreciate it!! They really are.
Wow they are great fish. What a lovely day out on the water. Enjoy.
Yes, thank you

Almost half the fun is catching the BAIT!
@@Bigfishfun333 I think I spent more time catching bait than lings. But it all is fun.
@@slacktide_angler That sucks. I have had lots of issues with the gopros also. I think everyone does. I'll check out the video.
My favorite way to fish Lings… That livewell on the new boat is sweet!
I do too. It's sweet you can see the fish swimming in there. It's like a little aquarium on the boat.
@@PeelingLine I bought what looks like that exact same net the beginning of last year and did the same thing the first big Ling I used it on…lol

@@tymartin5099 Ouch but walmart is pretty good about returning stuff that breaks within 90 days. I've returned countless rods and drillbits too.
Those are some awesome fish dude! Just awesome sea stuff!
Appreciate it!
Man that was quick! Nice work.
Thank-you. You sound like my wife. 😂
Great lingcod day, nicely done.
Thank-you
You should just spend the money and get a beckman net. Nice fish all in all. Good job!!
Thank-you. I haven't heard of them but I do have a Ranger net. I have had it for 5 years now and it is still solid.
In the San Juans they use greenling, in Puget Sound they use sand dabs (flat fish of any palm sized, I guess). Great video.
Thank-you. I think any live bait works on them. Sand dabs are just easier to come by in Puget Sound than greenling.
Hey nice video. What boat launch do you launch from? Thanks
Thanks. Mason's

Wow, great lings!
Glad you like them!
Hey Brett, I know it’s an older video, but I sent $ for the jetty ling location:)
I replied in the message with the coordinates. You're Jordan right? I can send it to your email if you like.
Yah that’s me, thank you
Nice!
Thanks!
There's nothing like a good Ling. Say there, what kind of boat do you have?
Stabicraft 15.5 fisher. See my videos for the walk around.
RIP net. The sacrifice was worth it. That was a great lingcod. That second one was even better, Dumb fish should have let go.
It sure was. That net was $10 in walmart clearance. I definitely got my moneys worth.
fun stuff, but using a $20/lb fish to catch a $5/lb fish. lol

Fishing neahbay is so much better compare to pugetsound
💯 this is sekiu though
@PeelingLine if you passed sekiu river, it's MA4 east. Part of neah bay. There are few honey holes there .
@@Kinghunter182 That is true. But it's a long run from neah bay. Much closer to sekiu.
