This guy was asking him some tough, self-reflecting questions! His answers were very composed and he still shows confidence. I think that speaks volumes of his character and sounds like a perfect fit for Montreal!
Those questions all had the same back thought: Please be cocky and give me something to write about. He's clearly confident but just enough.
@Christina McIntosh they will don t to that... arizona will be well place to get the chance for bedard i don t think they would offer something like that
@Christina McIntosh i hope they will have some chance too... bedard a crazy player and would change the face of rhe team when he will be draft
@Christina McIntosh he will never be a gretzky or mcdavid... he is more like bergeron if he progress well.. he is a safe two way center with a heavy shot already... he is not flashy but he does everything well... the next one is mostly next draft the actual draft is not a big one but will get some nice players... just remember that 2014 was suppose to be an ok draft like this year and at the end many players did progress a lot like ekblad point and many more
@Christina McIntosh would make more sens teah if you look in the past i would have done that more often than refuse that deal... my only fear in it is the montreal past they are so bad in the draft and im realy nit syre bobrov will be better... cause of that i think i prefer to go safe and keep the first pick... if it was a guy with a better pst i would say yeah go for it
Shane was asked some tough questions. He answered every question perfect. Can’t wait to see him in Habs jersey next hockey season.
Lol
He has such a captain presence.
He's laser focused. He has that look in his eyes. Very excited to see him with the Habs. We deserve a bona fide superstar and I hope he becomes that 🙏👌
Be humble, never say deserve, it's been a long time, but there will be cycles of mediocrity with 32 teams for every team. It has been a long time, but it was due to happen
I really hope to see you in Montreal Shane. Good Luck !!
Yes me to Go HABS
I want this guy on the habs yesterday great mindset wants to be the best gonna be a stud
Logan Cooley is better

@@AKAKATTACK_YT Was picked ahead of Wright. Wright is extremely overrated thanks to his 15yo season. If we went into this season without past hype, he would have been lucky to crack the top 10.
He liked the homemade Jersey that the fans showed him pregame a few months ago and he probably will get to wear the real one. I can just imagine Shane Wright getting drafted by Montreal in Montreal. I know some people want Cooley but when I watch Wright I can see him studying the game while playing and that might hurt this year but is an amazing quality for the NHL. He reminds me of John Travares in his draft year.
Me too I see a lot of Tavares in his game and his lost season really impacted him but he can catch up to that.
Wright remind me ove a mix between Jonathan Toews and John Tavares indeed!
Someone should have a real jersey with his name on it by his next game.
Hopefully he doesn't have a similar situation like Tavares, where Tavares betrayed NYI to go to the Leafs.
@@thecaynuck4694 The sad part for the Isles was they didn't trade him for assets... they wait too long and loose him for nothing! Garth Snow management at that time was SHITTY!!!
He will definitely make a great fit in Montreal. MTL would be crazy not to choose him
Great fit cuz he has a shitty attitude and a ego problem.
Guess MTL is crazy!
So
…
He’s a good talker compared to most other nhl players.
My thoughts exactly
Yeah, I don't think I heard him say "obviously" once 🤣
@@Dog_will_hunt or "you know"
I can’t imagine the number of interviews he had to make since he was considered exceptional in the CHL. Clearly a smart and grounded guy. Good luck for him with the Kraken.
@@Eric-zq6sb the kraken stole him, he's probs the best player in draft imo
I get Nathan Mackinnon vibes by the way he talks, if we can keep this competitive nature and continue to work on his game his ceiling is endless.
Holy shit that is so true now that you say it i just realized 😅 but yeah we might be suprised by how good this guy can develop
@@benjaminalbert9673 right?! They talk the same way and have a similar approach to the game with their mindsets. I can’t wait to see how high his ceiling can be.
He looks a lot like Mackinnon as well.
Right on bud he sound exactly like N. MACKINNON, even as a player I can see some similarities.
You're wright. Can't wait to see him raise that cup in a few years. (Maybe five years).
Aweille, Shane Wright! Tabarnak!

Why ?

A. Its a shitty draft yr. and B. Mtl. always either fucks up thier drafts or fucks up thier draftees.
Our top 6 is going to be stacked in a couple years with the kids coming up.

We need to add to veterans to help them, insay Giroux or Fosberg or even C.Perry, Evander Kane.

Wow la confiance qu'il dégage est inspirante. Je me rappelle que McDavid s'était comparé à Tyler Bozak lorsqu'il a entré dans la LNH. Ils sont assez différents à ce chapitre
And now they are calling it a bad attitude. Sore losers
Excited to see him in a Habs uniform, I hate going down this path but man just imagine if we had Tkachuk on our team also.
Well, we don't have Wright, but we have a massive power forward winger in Slafkovsky so you get half your wish.
He is very well spoken and doesn't give me "dumb jock" vibes that most other hockey players give me
Il va faire les Canadiens formidables encore !!!
This is the much needed attitude the Canadiens organization needs!!!
Apparently, they thought it was cocky and a bad attitude.
@@Dog_will_hunt That look he gave the Habs table, was stupid, very immature
Can't wait to see a Caufield Suzuki Wright line winning a cup
They won’t be a line maybe on the power play they will
On the power play of course
Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky*
Fixed it for you.
(yes, I'm putting Caufield on LW and Slaf on RW, 100% where they will end up to play. Wingers are much more dangerous on their offwing once they are able to play that way, and Caufield already started playing LW, and Slaf's also got experience at RW).
He's showing alot of maturity
Its hard for a kid to have to blow your own horn, He did a good job.
Slafkovsky had a much better answer. "I don't care when I get drafted, I want to be the best player from this draft class in 20 years."
Good video.....this guy ...very mature...bravo!
Nice ! What a guy
He tunes out the pressure but he also embraces it. Someone tell me these aren’t two different ways of saying the same thing.
He's just giving cliché, robotic, sanitized answer that he's been trained to give since he was like 13.

Habs are definitely drafting him. And forget all the slow start talk to this year, missing last year obv affected him. He was considered a generational talent before that. He's got the full game. He will be great in Mtl. I see a 40 G 100 PT guy

Him and Suzuki down the middle is gonna be incredibly to watch
Yeah but we will need some winger so chilll outttt 😂
@@christianrondeau5713 We will have a winger, Joshua Roy is gonna be another major sniper, Jan Mysak looks really good, and Im sure we'll do a few trades.
@@adamCarter20 Mysak is a center. Roy might never make the NHL. 119 points in the QJMHL would be pretty decent in his draft year, but he did it in his draft +1 year, that's not nearly as good. But please, do share the pics of all that so we can laugh.
awkward
now they should trade Petry and Calgary's first to NJ for 2nd overall pick and grab Cooley, for a 1-2 -3 punch
Theyre gonna ask way more than that for the 2nd overall pick
I think theyd do better keeping the calgary pick and trying to land a player like Ivan M., who’s draft stock will drop because of his illness, but would likely have gone 2nd overall this year otherwise. He’s likely to recover and would be a massive addition.
Yep i saw the guy on tv talking about this being a possible trade......
New Jersey's GM would have to be braindead to accept that terrible offer lmao. Why would they want an overpaid RD on the downslide who doesn't fit their young core when they can simply use the 2nd overall pick to draft Nemec or Jiricek? Absolutely terrible value for the Devils.
@@HabsCowboysOwn lol if anything Petry would lower the value of our trade

Lets be honest, I don't see him as a generational talent but a very good hockey player. I will be extremely surprise if he ever surpasses Tavares type of numbers. He's not a McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon level of player.
He was before this year and not playing for 1 year doesn’t help him. He got a slow start this season and there is not one things he’s bad at it. MacKinnon type of player. Will take 2-3 year to really explode
@@williambouchard2518 I sincerely doubt hes MacKinnon type of player my dude... On his good days MacKinnon is the best player in the world and he's a top 3 on average days imo...
I think he’ll be a good 2-way second line centre who can be used on the power play and pk. Him with Suzuki, Caufield, Hiemanin and Barron would be a deadly power play.
@@matthewminogue3276 only time will tell but he did not receive a exeptional status for nothing. Scored more goal and point than mcdavid at 15. The lockdown year stop his developing. He would have probably put up 110pts this year. He was put in the same category than Mcdavid,Crosby,Mackinnon, stamkos before this season. He excel at everything and got a great mindset. He will develop into a franchise superstar player.
@@williambouchard2518 He was like McDavid at 15yo, but a full point per game below McDavid at 17yo (2.55 vs 1.49). That's a huge gap and the lack of progression is a huge red flag. To put the two in the same sentence at this point is ludicrous. That he missed an entire year of development speak to his lack of passion for the game. Most top end prospect did everything they could to go play hockey in Europe so as to not lose their season. Shane sat on his ass for a full year.
With his draft season, he projects more as a 2C than a franchise player.
Welp
This whole generational talent discussion is kind of annoying. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. There have been plenty of 1st pick busts, and even more late pick diamonds in the rough.
I hope he's a great fit in Mtl, but all this rhetoric is ridiculous.
One of the worst interviews I've seen lol. What are these questions though? 🤦🏽♂️
Cocky. And he ended up paying for it.
